THE RISE OF AN OMEGA

Kira's POV

"She is such a weakling." I heard the other girls whisper from a distance as we were at power practice

"Take it easy on the little wolf she doesn't have parents, who did you expect to teach her these things?" another girl questioned

"Even a maid could do better." Another added.

Harsh words like this are why I don't have friends, I am not like everyone else. Fine I was ill-fated but I didn't choose to be born this way.

Our coach, coach Zane asked me to see him at the end if practice. I knew exactly what he wanted to talk about . It could only be one thing . I hadn't still seen any sign of my powers

I keep trying but still haven't seen any signs of my powers yet, neither have I found a mate. None of this was even my fear, my biggest fear was that the weaklings of the pack after two seasons are taken to the Alpha to serve as maids and slaves.

'But at least anything is better than this.'

"I've been expecting you, good day kira." Coach Zane said.

I could hardly hear what he had said as I kept my gaze on his charming physique, his abs as defined as they could possibly be, his biceps quite massive and his shoulders broad. I now know why he was chosen to be a coach.

"I've been looking at your reports kira and you've not developed any powers. You know what happens to wolves who can't find harness their full potential right?" He questioned

"I know sir and really I've been trying but it just hasn't been working." I replied

"I really am sorry but I've watch you over the past few seasons and there are no improvements so you know what that means you'd have to be taken to the Alpha as a maid. " he continued

I begged him, asked him to give me till the next season before he makes his final decisions but all my pleas fell on deaf ears.

"I'm sorry Kira there's nothing I can do. The Alpha is short of Maidens so this was the only option." He responded .

So It was done I was going to be a maid working for Alpha Asher. I expected it to be better than being ridiculed everywhere I went in the pack.

But it wasn't, there was so much hatred amongst the maidens that worked with Alpha Asher and this hostility was just to me .

Was it because I was a weak Omega? Was it. because I am sn orphan? Was it because my background and ancestors couldn't be traced no matter how hard we tried?

These questions and many more were what went through my head everytime i was treated with disrespect in the palace.

It's been a year since I started working for Alpha Asher. Alpha Asher's birthday was coming up and he wanted to hold big celebration.

'One that would be remembered across every pack' as he called it.

Plans were assigned to every maid in the palace but I noticed I was given more work to do, but giving me more work to do than others had become a norm.

As I walked passed a maid and her friends, I heard them talk about how they wished they could be something more to the Alpha.

"We are maids because we are irrelevant." One of the maids said

"But at least we know our parents and ancestral lineage unlike someone." another added as she saw me walked passed.

They all burst into laughter.

I couldn't care less what they thought about me at this point there was no need trying to fit in because no matter how hard I tried, it'll always be noticed.

"Take a cup of coffee to Miss Aria." A feminine but firm voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

It was Madam Nova, the chief maid and pack matron. She was figure to be afraid of. Unlike the rest of us maidens, she was ordained pack matron to house and keep the Alpha's palace and pack.

She was fierce whilst speaking but very nice when she needed to be.

I hurriedly went to the kitchen to grab a cup of tea for Miss Aria. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Miss Aria as the king said she should be called was known for her rude tone and sarcastically manner of speaking. She never had respect for anyone in the pack but she was said to be Alpha Asher's childhood friend.

She had always been with Alpha Asher so it was only normal that she was his mistress.

"Your tea Miss Aria." I said as I knocked her door

"Come in." She replied coldly and rudely

I entered and stood right there as she was dressing her hair waiting for her to order me to drop the cup of tea before I left.

"Are your lack of powers affecting how you think now, drop the tea and get out this instant." she continued

"I'm sorry ma." I pleaded as I dropped the cup of tea.

"Asher is back and he said you should get him a cup of tea too, I still don't know what he sees in a weak Omega like you. Its almost like you're his favorite maid." She added

"Yes ma, I'd get him his tea right away." I replied already shaking with fear at the thought of seeing Alpha Asher.

She shouted at me, asked me to leave her presence in the most rudely way ever.

Miss Aria's words still struck me as confusing.

I? Alpha Asher's favorite maid? That was either her just being sarcastic or her just lying.

Alpha Asher hated me more than the other "useless maids" as he always referred to us. He treated me so badly and said I was a bastard with no one in the whole pack.

I headed back to the kitchen to get Alpha Asher's cup of coffee and brought it to him .

I served him his cup of tea on one knee as he always ordered to do.

I was significantly close to him, I felt an attraction, there was this strong magnetic pull I felt .

Our eyes meet and I felt this warmth in my heart and my heart began to beat.

I saw that he also felt it too and before we could both stop it, the words came out of our mouths together.

"Mate!"
