Rivers were often the place where most creatures congregated, so as the night entered deeper, Mark left the area by the river.

Night had moved deeper, and the world began to grow utterly silent.

Earlier, Mark had found a hole under the root of a tree, and he was heading there now. But he was not really sure where it was anymore, and he hadn’t left much marks to follow.

Suddenly, Dona poked his back with a finger.

He looked at her.

"Grr... Grr..." she pointed up.

"What?" he asked in the demon language.

"Gr... Grr..." she seemed to have understood and pointed up again. Her face was growing a bit anxious, but he didn’t understand.

Dona growled and looked up at the red moon. Then, she began climbing one particular ancient tree that had a hidden claw mark that Mark noticed.

She looked down at him anxiously, and Mark finally understood it. He cautiously tried to climb the tree, and it was not as impossible as he expected. In fact, he soon enough began climbing like a professional tree climber.

Dona climbed higher, too, and from below, Mark could see the only parts of her that were not dirty. Nudged between her red buttocks, it was a beautiful sight.

A stretch of forestry of unimaginable length extended from his location to the ends of the horizon, and from here, he could see hundreds of demons prowling around everywhere. They were of all sorts.

Mark even saw a stationary giant that looked more like a dark statue than a being for an extremely short second before it vanished among clouds.

Suddenly, his gaze focused on one of the demons far in the distance.

It was far away but still visible; it must be humongous in size.

Perched upon a craggy cliff, the creature was a majestic, fearsome sight.

"A griffin..." Mark muttered and then returned his eyes to Dona.

Dona growled slightly and rested on the tree top. She was so quick to fall asleep that he wondered if she had forgotten about the mating part.

The treetop was a wide and comfortable place, so it was easy to find his own spot to sleep beside her.
