Mind Demon's Path of Domination

The flying ship moved through the skies at a decent pace, neither fast nor slow.

"How can I escape their senses?" Mark asked, gently caressing Dona’s head as he stared at the Cyborg.

If he had been targeted by some detection method, what was the way to escape the senses of these creatures?

What were they using to target him anyway? Some sort of ability? Advanced technology that he didn’t know about at all?

No matter how strong Mark might be or how confident he was, he didn’t want to fight millions of Pinnacle Tier 2 Star Monkeys. That was just asking for trouble. And if he couldn’t escape their senses, he would have to always run around.

If he gets surrounded, it might even lead to his premature death.

"Haha... ha..." The man’s head tilted. "I told you—there is no escape."

"No escape," Mark sneered.

He could smell trouble coming his way, and he couldn’t help but feel sullen.

Was this bad luck?

Anything he did, it just wouldn’t go his way, would it?

He was a bold man. Fighting a giant beast or being held under death throes by an ancient armor wouldn’t really make him flinch deep down, but fighting something as ephemeral as luck made him feel as if the earth under his foot was being pulled away.

"How did you and your team pinpoint me right when I arrived in this World?" Mark asked coldly. "Was it someone’s unique ability?"

The man shook his head. "It’s the energy detection satellites that detected you. Not exactly you, but it detected the Portal that opened up in this area and warned the nearest fleet about it.

"I didn’t think you would be this strong and wanted to claim the kill myself so that I can contribute to the Federation."

Mark looked up. "A satellite that could read energy frequencies. Can this thing also read my energy?"

"Yes." the Cyborg said. "It must have marked your energy the moment you entered its senses. Now, every small detection system on the entire planet would keep an eye on you and release that information to every fleet."

"Are there detection systems everywhere?" Mark growled.

"The very land below us has tiny sensors—the atmosphere also has them. Everywhere on this planet, you will be under some kind of detection mechanism. It was set up to keep track of the demons who dare invade us, and being one, there is no escape for you."

Mark felt even more frustrated. Should he just move on with his life and kill everything that dares block his path for a while?

He definitely did have the strength to do that when it came to individual battle prowess. He was probably still the strongest creature in this World if a Tier 3 hadn’t yet entered here. But what if they had weird technology that could take him by surprise?

Suddenly, Mark frowned.

"Something’s coming," he said.

"Another of these fleets?" Yuri asked.

She moved close to the open door, held onto a handle, and leaned out of the ship to look. There was nothing she could see. Dona frowned as she spread out her Soul Sense with her full focus. Why was there nothing around?

"Yuri," Mark warned.

Yuri’s eyes sharpened.

Glass Dome!

A sudden explosion made everything appear as a blank yellow in their senses and Yuri, Dona, and Mark floated in the air. They were standing inside Yuri’s Glass Dome, and when activated mid-air, it would remain mid air.

Around them, the flying ship had exploded and its debris fell with explosive booms.

Mark let Dona down from his lap and stood up. He had a suddenly serious expression.

"What just happened?" Yuri asked.

"A Portal just opened in front of the flying ship," he replied. "Something came out of it and destroyed the ship when it closed in—it used its bare hands to do this."

Yuri and Dona whirled around to look but amidst the sea of yellow fire and smoke, they couldn’t make out anything. With the Glass Dome surrounding them from all sides, their Soul Senses couldn’t leave to search either.

"Ah, what a mess," said a curious voice from inside the smoke. "Is this what you call an explosive entry?"

"Yes, yes," another more submissive voice replied. "An explosive entry indeed."

"But some cockroaches seem to have escaped death," the curious voice said, reeking of authority. "Ah, is that a beauty I see? OH! A stunning flame demoness and a petite human woman—not bad, not bad indeed."

Mark touched Dona and she suddenly vanished. She was put back into his World Space. Then, he put his own thumb into his mouth and with a pull, tore it off.

With a simple throw, he shot the thumb out of the five meter diameter from Yuri and even then, the World Will didn’t turn it into ash. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

He was safe to fight.

"Yuri, they’re formidable," Mark said. "Remain in the Glass Dome and fight—I’ll pull you into the World Space if it gets truly deadly. Dona is too weak for this battle."

Yuri nodded. The slit in her forehead crackled with her Mindpower.

"Ah, where did the Flame Demoness go?"

The curious voice growled, and some sort of wind rose up, pushing away the smoke and fire to reveal two creatures. One was a giant eagle, and sitting regally on the eagle’s back was a young man with humanoid features—just that he had a regal pair of eagle wings behind his back.

His eyes, brown and deep, looked at Mark with intrigue.

Mark grinned. The youth was not a demon, not a Star Monkey, and not any species he had come across in his entire life. It was an unknown variable for him, and most probably—this was also bad luck.

"They say bad luck comes with a whole party, but for me, it’s a whole gang of parties," Mark said to the youth. "And I am pissed."

"Oh, are you?" The young man pushed up his black hair, looking at Mark even more curiously. "What will I do now that you are pissed?"

"Why don’t you die?"

The young man smirked. "I am here on a trip and I am in a really good mood. So I will give you a chance, little Middle Demon hotshot. Hand me those women and tell me your True Name, then you can live. Or you may die now."

A presence, clearly much stronger than Tier 2 creatures, blasted out of the youth and the apparition of a king looking down on peasants pressed down on the Glass Dome.

Yuri felt sweat bead down her back—a Tier 3 creature. No. That giant eagle the young man was using as a stead was also a Tier 3 being.

TWO TIER 3s?! Where did they come out of all of a sudden?

Mark looked up, closed his eyes, and his adam’s apple bobbed.

His dark wings spread out.

Tier 3 people had started entering this World and these duo had also just entered. But from their carefree attitude, it was clear that they didn’t fear the extermination from the World Will. Yet, they were indeed strong and Mark truly didn’t know if he stood a fair chance against them.

He had never battled Tier 3 creatures.
