Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Choi Sung’s dark blue eyes snapped open. Darkness surrounded him, pitch black. His eyes roamed left and right, then came to stare right ahead. His face grew unconsciously pale as he raised his hand and touched the glass-like ceiling mere inches above his face.

The glass felt cold.

Where... am I?

He remembered being ganged upon by his enemies and entering a dangerous forbidden land, but his memory was fuzzy. Something had happened and now, he was here. His hand roamed around his body in search of any injuries.

None. But the fact that he was a woman once again echoed in the back of his mind, yet, he had grown better at ignoring it.

After a while of quiet recollection and coming to terms with his unknown circumstances, he gritted his teeth and banged at the glass ceiling. It didn’t even budge. He looked to his right and left and found glass ceilings there, too.

"Another fool has arrived," an ancient voice said with amusement.

Choi Sung’s fist halted.

"Ah, don’t bang the glass so much," said another voice, this one tinged with aristocratic sophistication. "Men are trying to sleep over here."

"You are one to talk Loud Mouth," a feminine voice said. "Your self-pleasure is getting louder every night. My hole here is full of puke because of you."

"What?" Loud Mouth seemed pissed. "A man needs his vices to survive, Lady Bone. You can just close your ears if my noises don’t please you."

The ancient voice said with tiredness, "I agree that a man needs his vices, but I’d also prefer it if you don’t bother me with your vices, Loud Mouth. And it is very disgusting to hear your imaginations spoken out loud."

"Even you, Old Man?" Loud Mouth complained. "All my imagination these days is around Lady Bone, so I’d understand her revulsion. But what did I do to you?"

An ancient sigh echoed around them. For a long while, silence remained.

"Newbie, say something!" Loud Mouth said, with a tone that made Choi Sung click his tongue. "Aren’t you interested in which hell you have ended up?"

After contemplating in irritation for a while, Choi Sung sighed inwardly. He’d rather remain silent—especially with a voice like his own—but the darkness around him unnerved him. What was going on?

"Where are we—"

"AH!" Loud Mouth interrupted him with a deep breath. "A WOMAN!"

Mark’s body crashed into the ground, covered in the blood of his enemies. The surrounding area was a ruin of hundreds of flying ships, all destroyed by the demon in a brutal fashion.

A single flying ship floated below the moonlit skies, and three creatures stared down at Mark from its hull. All of their star-filled eyes glinted.

"You fought for five days nonstop, killed enough of our brethren to make a mountain out of it," said one of the creatures as he jumped down the ship and slowly floated towards Mark. "But even your unending amount of reserves must be ending now. Our energy sensing mechanism doesn’t fail."

Mark stared at him with blurry eyes. He had a lot of Black Water in his hand before his battle with the Star Monkeys, but even that reservoir wasn’t endless. He had never been able to refill his Black Water pond after he first absorbed some from the Demon World.

And now, it was indeed nearly completely consumed.

Someone among the Star Monkeys also had a way to know that. And finally, the enemy was sure they could end him. The one floating towards him this time wasn’t one of the death soldiers—this guy was different.

He looked like a half-humanoid cyborg with monkey features and no fur, and there was a sensation around him that made Mark ready for a real battle.

"You are not one of the death soldiers," Mark said. "You aren’t just any other guy from this world. You are someone stronger than the foot soldiers."

"You are not a normal Middle Demon either," the man replied, landing beside Mark’s fallen body. "A Maverick, that other guy called you. Our race doesn’t know what a Maverick is, but we have our guesses."

"You think killing me would be easy?" Mark asked, calm as he stared, not at the man but at the moon.

"No, killing you would be hard," the man replied. "I’d probably die here, and will not be able to kill you. You are far too strong and even after three days of constant battle and thousands of Tier 2 Pinnacle sacrifices, we don’t even know all your abilities."

Mark frowned. "Perceptive." They knew his Alchemic Shapeshifting by now, and Dream Shock, too. Nothing more. Not Heart Input, not Clown’s Circus either.

Using the Mask of the Savage alone made him far too strong for any normal Tier 2 Pinnacle to handle, not to mention the foot soldiers weren’t as strong as normal Pinnacle Tier 2 creatures. They were inferior things. Thus, killing all that came while hiding his most potent powers wasn’t that hard.

Especially since Heart Input was such an invisible force.

He hoped they hadn’t figured it out, though.

"You know you’d probably die, yet you come here, closer to me. Aren’t you... courting death?" Mark asked, curious.

Heart Input was going to make him give everything out.

"I will die, but not before I let my race uncover more of your secrets," the creature said calmly. "More might die, but when we kill you—it will be worth it."

Mark’s golden eyes stared up at the man and he sighed—he was so done with this shit. He needed to train and go do more important things instead of fight, fight, and fight.

With a breath, Mark stood up like a moving blur and a rock in his hand transformed into golden liquid, which he drank calmly.

It was fine if he didn’t have Black Water—he had the Golden Blood. This liquid was the Heart Blood of savages, and it was also the fuel that the War Slayer Armor used instead of Mindpower.

When Mark tried using it, it replenished his own lost Mindpower easily too. And he could create as much Gold Blood as he wanted with Alchemic Shapeshifting.

He had essentially infinite Mindpower.

Mark stared at the enemy, eyes turning cold. "Your race is super annoying, you know that?" he asked.

"I do," the enemy replied.

Mark smiled. Now this guy is interesting.
