Dona had become a Middle Demon!

It wasn’t without momentous transformation either. She writhed in her sleep, her body contorting in weird ways in Mark’s hands.

Mark unceremoniously picked up Yuri from World Space and threw her out beside him.

The Scientist immediately said, "Oh, Mark, I told you I am busy. I am researching something really useful—" she paused.

Dona was peaceful, even though her contorting body seemed as if it was in pain. In fact, the demoness was completely and blissfully asleep.

"She is evolving," Yuri said, her expression becoming curious. "Wasn’t the condition to evolve from Lower Demon to Middle Demon quite harsh, did she fulfill it?"

"Yep. She even created her own Ultimate Demonic Art."

"Her appearance is also changing," the Scientist said. "Let me see."

She placed her hand on Dona’s heart and felt its rhythm. She didn’t mind the filth that made her hand stink and just focused her senses. "Indeed, evolution does make the body release a heap-ton of adrenaline, her heartbeat is wild. And she feels feral."

Mark looked at Dona with a smile. Not only had she gained an Ultimate Demonic Art, which was pretty amazing on its own, but she also gained a new demonic trick. She could even improve her physical and mental stats again as long as she had souls of the needed level.

Her evolution came to an end shortly and she opened her eyes, her gaze filled with fatigue. Her light red eyes had a depth, a sort of enchantment to it that clasped tight on one’s mind at one glance. A sort of carefreeness.

The ruby-like eyes blinked.

Seeing Mark just beside her, she smiled and fell asleep once more.

Mark admired her new looks.

Her horns curved in a slightly more regal style, a domineering aura to its edges. It looked like a crown, slightly. Her body was much more compact, filled with incredibly well-carved cuts in perfect places. It didn’t make her less feminine, but instead made her way more attractive.

Her skin was still the same attractive red.

Mark ran his hand through Dona’s smooth skin, through her thighs, and glided it across her seductive knees. He curiously held her legs and blinked. Her body was hot, not the sexy hot—that, too—but she was warm to the touch.

"So warm," he said and curiously touched multiple parts of her body. She moaned softly in her sleep, feeling Mark’s invasive touch around her body.

She was such a sculpture!

And she was his.

Mark looked at her with twinkling eyes and her stats appeared in front of him.

Dona had gained three things that she didn’t have an hour ago.

For the first of the three, it was her new demonic trick Explosive Burst. It was a movement-type demonic trick that could help her spur into sudden, explosive speed. Mark could see her being quite the deadly demon on the battlefield if she used it well.

Now, for defense, she had Fire Shield. For offense, she had Delayed Explosion, Fire Seal, and Fireball. And for movement, she had her new ability Explosive Burst.

And Dona had a good sense for using such things well.

For the second of the three, it was Dona’s first Ultimate Demonic Art.

Trapped Beast.

It was a very insidious Art that Mark couldn’t wait to see in action. Even he would be in trouble against it if it came at the right time. He licked his lips. He had to visit another world with Dona someday soon, only then could she reach her full potential.

As for the third thing that she had gained just now, it was the Trait Humanoid Mutant Physique. He was quite curious about this one because he was the creator of this Trait. Using Alchemic Shapeshifting, he had reduced Dona’s size and now, once she evolved, his System seems to have had enough information to confirm its use.

By making considerably sized demons transform into human size, they would have a 5% increase in their natural Physique Stat!

If they had 100 points in Physique, they could exert the force of 105 points!

He looked at his stats and noticed that he had also gained this Trait.

Humanoid Mutant Physique!

He had a total of 1000 points in his Physical Stat—being a Pinnacle Middle Demon—but he would have the strength equal to having 1050 points! In sheer physical combat without any Tricks, normal Pinnacle Middle Demons wouldn’t be able to match up to him!

"It was a good decision to compress our sizes," he said with a smirk.

Yuri nodded from the side. "You noticed," she said. "Indeed, she is somewhat stronger than she is supposed to be. I guess a 5% difference in strength from a normal Middle Demon at her level. Compression does increase power." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Mark turned and stared at Yuri with wide eyes.

She just figured that by looking and touching Dona’s muscles? Yuri was a monster. He had needed his Violet Screen to figure that out. And he even had Soul Sense and Yuri wasn’t blessed with such a thing.

Yuri asked, "Where is this place?"

"This is a place called the Exchange," he replied. "Demons can exchange one demonic trick for another here. Well, it’s a place inside a Demon City."

"A demon city..." Yuri scratched her cheek. "A lot happened while I was lost in my research, huh?"

"Nothing much, I just entered a demon city, that’s all. What are you researching anyway?"

Yuri grinned, her short hair flowing in the wind. Her ruby—purplish black—eyes glinted in pride. "Dona is catching up. I am just an A-rank Hunter and being a Middle Demon, she is already as strong as me. Kinda felt competitive, basically. I was wondering if there were any ways for me to increase my strength and researching on that."

Mark blinked. "Did you find any way?"

"I am kinda seeing a path but I have no confidence in it. It feels hopeless but if it succeeds..." She put her hands into her lab robes and shrugged, her petite form obviously excited. "That would amaze myself."

"You want my help?" he asked.

He also had to ask Reol’ran to help Yuri in some way or other—they were all family after all. If it was Yuri, she would have definitely helped Reol’ran.

"I do want some help, Mark but it’s not that serious." Yuri took his hand, both of them were filthy with black goo all over their body. "We now have time, it’s pretty relaxing being inside your World Space. I have nothing to worry about, I can just lose myself in research. We can become a bit slower now."

Mark didn’t argue about that. Yuri had a lot of time on her hands.

Unlike him, who was pressed for time.

"Most worlds have a different way of growing stronger, right?" she asked, curious. "Maybe, if I get to see some of these different systems, my horizons can broaden. So you should travel to some different worlds."

"Tsk, using me as some plane to travel different worlds now?" He exzageratedly sighed.

She elbowed him. "I was just suggesting. I am satisfied following you in whatever you are doing already, your life is very interesting."

They walked silently.

"And Mark, your World Space is too incomplete. You should add more things in there, like trees, wildlife, and some technology. Create a life cycle of sorts."

Mark nodded. "I was planning to do that but it would be most efficient if we go to some less powerful world. A world at the level of the Hunter World. I was thinking we could just go there and transport an entire island or something into the World Space all at once."

"Mark, I think you should let Dona rest for now. And maybe bathe her."

Mark released Black Water from his World Space and poured it over them. They became clean pretty quickly. Even the stench was gone. Dona was cleaner, too.

He asked, "So, none of your research bore any fruit yet?"

Cloths and face dripping, Yuri rubbed her nose and looked at him with a hidden smile. "I didn’t only research a way to grow stronger, you know? I also made a list of many curious things for you to try using your abilities. I was wondering how you can become stronger, too. Wanat to try some out?"

He perked up. "Any decent ideas?"

She stretched. "Let’s get warmed up first. Use Alchemic Shapeshifting to turn some rock into a towel for me, I want to dry myself."

He did that curiously. Yuri dried him first with the newly made towel and dried her own hair and face next.

She didn’t bother drying her drenched robes. Done, she threw him the towel.

"You seem to have some plans?" he asked, blinking.

Yuri licked her lips. "Let Dona rest inside the World Space."
