Mark speared through the clouds, his wings flapping mightily as he moved. He was in a forest made up of giant and colorful mushrooms, and the only living beings around in this area were the giant worms that crawled under the shade of the shrooms.

In the distance, there was a city and Mark planned to head there stealthily to understand the situation.

But suddenly, the World seemed far too silent.

Mark flapped his wings violently as the clouds started churning around him. Trap—this was indeed a trap laid out for Mark by the River of Destiny. Just some moments after he entered into this World, it was evolving to Tier 3.

He coldly looked at the mission he had to complete in order to leave this World.

"You might be able to do what the Mission says," Reol’ran said. "But I doubt it can be done in just a year. That means you might have to face the Suffering of Man in this World."

Mark’s hair suddenly rose and he felt a chill go down his nape. Something was coming towards him—something big and powerful. It was fast. He calmed down and waited for the arrival, but before he could register what it was, the thing slammed into his back.

Mark took in a deep breath in startlement, all he had was a moment in which he protected the hamster in his embrace.

Boom!

His body broke through the sound barrier and crashed into the mushrooms on the ground.

The land itself exploded, creating a giant crater where he fell.

My Defensive Magic Aura is broken, what was that? Mark’s golden eyes shimmered as he looked down at the juicy remains of a worm under him.

The slit on his forehead thrummed with a charge of adrenaline as he pushed his naked body into a standing position. His clothes had all been burned to ashes. But that was not his concern now, the concern was the giant shadow in the sky.

"You people truly know how to welcome a man into your lands," Mark said, rubbing sweat away from under his nose.

In the sky, a giant ship made of unknown metal floated with holo blue lights shimmering around it. Electricity thrummed throughout the ship’s sides and in one glance, Mark knew it was at least larger than a hundred meters and wider than ten meters.

Looking down from an opened door in the ship, a Star Monkey focused its sniper on Mark. It resembled a monkey to a T but with way more muscles and a truly intimidating vibe. In its eyes, the whole universe seemed to be stored as it blinked.

Another shot, way faster than Mark could react, headed straight for his head.

Mark arched back, his whole body tightening as the land under him exploded once again. He had caught the bullet with his bare hands—and his speed had increased by an incredible amount. A mask of bone-like style had grown over his face, too.

"You don’t reply to a man’s questions, do you?" Mark said. "Then you can have this back."

He suddenly shifted his weight on his foot and rotated, hurling the bullet, a crystalline orb, back at the Star Monkey precisely. Its starry eyes widened for a second before the bullet penetrated its forehead and its head exploded into a gory mess.

Mark slammed his foot onto the ground, then smirked. Beside him, two women appeared.

One, a sexy woman in white robes, leaned against his back to squint at the weird ship that seemed to have crawled right out of a sci-fi movie. The other, red-skinned and looking bored, stared up with eyes that immediately came to fire with interest.

"Interesting," Yuri muttered, feeling the world sickness come to assault her gut. She needed some time to get used to new Worlds, unlike Mark and Dona.

"Do you want that ship?" Mark asked, seeing many more snipers pop out of the windows in the ship. If any of the bullets really hit him, Mark knew even he would be injured. They were strong attacks that could hurt even people with Tier 2 Pinnacle Physical Resistance.

Dona just sniffed in irritation.

"Looks ugly," she said. "And this place stinks."

Lock on.

Ten bullets came at them all at once but they didn’t move an inch, even though Dona was a bit startled. When the bullets reached them, it crashed into a shimmering and colorless dome of Glass. Yuri looked around calmly.

It was her ability—

Glass Dome.

"Do you need help, Mark?" Yuri asked.

"They seem weak," Dona replied, squinting smartly. "It’s just their guns, their bodies are even weaker than your average Silver Savage. Mark can abolish them if he puts his mind to it."

Yuri sighed. "Soul Sense truly is amazing. Babe, get me some research material then. And why did you summon us?"

"I summoned Dona because this is interesting," Mark said, eyes still wary. He had noticed things Dona didn’t. "I summoned you, Yuri because there is something here that might be even more interesting to you."

"The monkeys have fire-element bullets made using some unknown method," Reol’ran said. "That’s why it can break past your Pinnacle Tier 2 Physical Resistance."

Mark squinted. That meant, against Dona, the bullets were completely useless. She had Fire Resistance, too.

"It’s coming out," Mark said, readying himself as the monkeys stopped shooting uselessly.

Yuri leaned back against Mark’s back even more, it helped that he was slightly squatted. She stared at the ship with more and more interest and Dona began producing fire in her hands.

"Damn that fire is hot," Yuri said, her eyes twitching in irritation. "And don’t use it inside Glass Dome, you dumbo. We don’t have too much oxygen in here—" Her mouth shut itself at the sight.

A sleek door pulled itself up into the walls of the futuristic flying ship. Then, from its shadows, a machine walked out. Slowly, its form was completely revealed.

A human. No, to be accurate—A cyborg.

It had predominantly human features, but its arms were a sleek and dark metal. Under its platinum body suit, most of the skin-colored parts also seemed to have been made up of metal. It stared down at them, its humanly blue eyes assessing them.

"Aliens," he said. "You are surrounded by our forces on all sides. We are just the first ship headed your way, hundreds of other ships are closing in from all directions.

"With our neuron scans, we understand all of you are intelligent enough to understand negotiation. Surrender yourself now and tell us your True Names—the Federation will look after you from now on if you agree. If you disagree, we will have to use force to destroy a possible threat to our civilization."

Mark scanned the man’s stats, his face grim. How had they noticed his arrival? He hadn’t even entered a city. Did they have some kind of detection methods in place? They even scanned his neurons and shit without him knowing?

Advanced forms of CCTV cameras?

Fuck science.

Mark raised his hands. The man was strong, but nothing to be afraid of. With his Mask of the Savage, Mark could take the man out in just a few moves. But that [BioMech] trait was mysterious—and interesting—and Mark didn’t want to fight a thousand more people like the man.

If more were coming, the best way to deal with this scenario would be to understand how they sensed him and escape their senses first. Then he could decide what to do while in a safer position. But before that, he decided to copy the man’s molecular structure.

Only then could Mark get rid of the worry regarding the World Will killing him.

"Do you intend to surrender?" the man asked calmly, but loudly enough to make Mark hear it.

Mark nodded, his Soul Sense surrounding the man and sensing rapidly. At the same time, he activated Dream Input to input the information into his own head quickly. But then, the man suddenly jumped back in alarm.

"Energy emittance detected from the enemies!" A robotic voice announced.

Mark clicked his tongue. Then, the best thing to do was destroy this ship before the other ships arrived—and then, he could mind washing some of them to reveal their secrets. With calmness, Mark straightened and Yuri moved away from him.

"Girls," he said. "Destroy the ship as soon as possible, then we escape."
