GoddessOfLust? That name sounds familiar...

That’s the same person who helped me on the forum when no one else was willing to answer my questions.

What are the chances I run into her here?

She was dressed formally. If I had to guess, she was probably in her mid-twenties.

But by far the mist intriguing thing about her was that she had no detectable presence, other than for the fact that I could see her.

It was almost as if she was an illusion or a hologram.

This made her all the more intimidating. Were someone like her to sneak up on you from behind, you wouldn’t know until you were dead.

She and the chairman shared a few words before he left the room.

For a moment she didn’t say a word as she looked over each one of us individually. Her deep emerald eyes showed no particular interest, and the smile on her face neither seemed genuine nor fake.

"As you all just heard, while you’re at this university, it will be my responsibility to train all of you. And just like all of you, I am also a player. My tag is GoddessOfLust but you may call me professor Amanda if you prefer."

As she spoke, I discreetly opened the player rankings to view her rank.

’Wow, she’s ranked 86.’

Generally, any player who manages to breach the top 100 is considered a powerhouse.

There are people just outside the top 100 who double their strength 10 times over and still can’t break into the top 100.

The gap between them and us is just that high.

No matter how they tried and how their stats seemed to rise, their rank stayed the same.

That’s because the people ranked in the top 100 weren’t simply idling by. They were also increasing their strength.

There was a common saying in the forum that if a player in the top 100 was only at Level 1, making it so that they had 1% of their power, that 1% would make them many times stronger than a players outside the top 100, even if these players had access to 100% of their strength from the game world.

That was the overwhelming power advantage they had over us.

"Since we’ll be working together, it would be best if we knew each other’s gamertag and real names."

Suddenly her eyes panned over to me. I got the strange feeling that she knew exactly what I was doing, even though my status screen should be invisible to everyone else but me.

"Let’s start with you," she said, looking directly at me.

A part of me wanted to keep my identity a secret, but in the direction I was heading, this would prove to be impossible.

Well... it doesn’t matter anyway.

As long as they don’t know what I look like in the game world, since I’m planning to use the fact that I was a giant boss monster to my advantage in the future.

"Just tell us a little bit about yourself."

I slowly stood up from my comfortable seat and began introducing myself somewhat awkwardly.

"I am Liam Fairchild. My gamertag is ApexHunter101. I wouldn’t say there is anything particularly interesting about myself. Other than the fact that I managed to awaken a mage class, but if it wasn’t for the help of my party, I don’t know if I would have survived this long."

Not to toot my own horn, but that was a splendidly done generic introduction.

I bet they all forgot it the moment they heard it.

In fact, I could see a few who were getting ready to yawn.

Even the professor quickly turned her attention to the next student.

It was a girl standing in the corner of the room. Her messy black hair was cut short and she wore a black leather jacket matched with a pair of torn jeans.

As she leaned against the wall, she held a lighter in her hand, which she flicked on and off aimlessly.

First impression: she looked like a delinquent. Someone who would often get into trouble.

"How about you? Introduce yourself for us."

The girl sighed before grumbling something that was barely audible.

"My name is Eve and my gamertag is DeadOrchid. My class is Dread Knight."

Dread Knight? That was one class I had never heard about before. I wanted to learn more, but the professor quickly moved on to the next student, who was a girl standing to the right of her.

She had long dark blue hair that flowed down her back. She had a slightly round face and wore a pair of round glasses.

I couldn’t get over the way she was dressed. She wore a formal buttoned shirt and skirt that reached all the way down to her knees.

Between her and GoddessOfLust, it was hard to tell which was the student and which was the professor, since they were both dressed similarly.

She seemed like the shy type, which was evident in the way she visibly shrunk when everyone looked at her.

"Umm... My name is Alyah Vorden." Suddenly her cheeks flushed red as she brought the book she was holding up to cover her face. "My gamertag is Cupcake, and I am an Alchemist."

"Hmm..." Instead of moving on, the professor seemed strangely interested in this girl. "Vorden... Are you somehow related to the chairman of the Player Association?"

The girl lowered the book halfway down her face, so only her eyes were visible, and slowly nodded in response.

"He’s my father."

The Player Association’s daughter. That is interesting... 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

This university is also good for making connections. Connections that I very much may need in the future.

After her, a red-haired boy who was about the same age as me was next to speak.

"I am Jayden and my tag is VoidSpark, and I belong to the warrior class. I also have a talent in spearmanship." He said casually with his arms folded.

My first impression of this boy was that he seemed confident.

Just by listening to his tone, I could tell that he thought highly of his own abilities.

The professor then quickly turned her attention to the last one left to do his introduction.

It was a blonde-haired boy who stood at the farthest end of the room, with his hands crossed.

Out of everyone, he was the one who bothered me most. Ever since I did my introduction, I could basically feel his eyes on me.

"Damien Asfer. My gamertag is NightBlaze, and I am also a mage." He said simply.

"Wonderful." The professor chirped with a clap of her hands. "Now that the introductions are out of the way, I want you all to come with me."

She led us out of the room and through the vast halls of the university, which I wasn’t yet fully familiar with yet.

We kept silent as we followed her and kept our distances since we were not yet acquainted fully.

As I walked, I could still sense that the blonde-haired boy was looking at me.

’What’s his problem?’

Soon, we finally arrived at a vast room with various weaponry. The ground was soft, as the entire room was covered in mats.

There was also different training equipment.

Our professor walked to the center of the room before spinning on her heel.

"As your teacher, my first lesson will be hand-to-hand combat."
