Hmm... My rank increased and so did the number of people on the server. The rankings were volatile since players die and enter Vesperia every day, but this was the first time I had seen such a significant increase.
Another thing that caught my attention was my physical stats, which were three times that of the average human.
There was even a notification. Reaching out, I tapped the notification item on the screen.
[Congratulations on reaching Level 20! You have unlocked a new feature!
Friends: Allows you to add anyone you meet inside the game world as a friend. You will be able to view a friend’s status to see if they are online. And once a friend is added, you will be able to message them freely.]
The feature seemed pretty basic. I guess this means I can also unlock new game features when I level up, and since this game operates on a reward system, I bet I’ll also receive a reward when I reach Level 100.
Now it was time for me to check my stats outside the game. Since I was at Level 20, it meant that 20% of my stats inside the game would be trandered outside the game.

Of the 19 skills I possessed in Vesperia, I managed to gain 4 of them and 1 of my 3 spells.
I even gained the Obsidian Dragon Bloodline. The first skill I decided to test out was Googum.
It all came naturally to me, all thanks to the Divided Consciousness skill. I aimed it toward one of Amelia’s skincare bottles.
Immediately, the sticky, rubbery fluid shot out and hit the bottle with pinpoint accuracy.
By tugging on the Googum, I brought the bottle toward me. The rubbery nature of the fluid caused it to shoot back toward me at high speed.
This all feels so trippy...
It was as if I had real-life superpowers. Next, I removed one of the E-ranked monster cores I received from the orcs I killed.
I had 27 of these E-ranked cores and 50 F-ranked cores I received from the flame hornets. One of these cores belonged to the queen.
And finally, I had the core of the F-ranked boss monster I killed.
Along with all of these, I also had a few mana stones I plucked from the walls of the dungeon, along with items from the adventurers I killed.
My plan was to sell all the cores belonging to the flame hornets with the exception of the queen’s, which I would one day turn into one of my monsters.
The same went for the core belonging to the gargoyle. I’ll also use it to create a monster since it was once a powerful boss monster.
This will be important in the future since the monsters I create will one day be the backbone of my guild.
As for the E-ranked monster cores I got from the orcs, I’ll use them to further my bloodline purity.
Sitting on my bed in the lotus position, I began absorbing the core. The energy from the core flowed from it and into my own core.
[Bloodline Purity: 0.02%->0.07%]
So absorbing an E-ranked core increases my bloodline purity by 0.05%. This was more than double what an F-ranked core could do.
Without hesitation, I reached into my storage space and pulled out another core.
[Bloodline Purity: 0.07%->0.12%]
[Earth Control spell has reached Level 2]
One by one, I kept absorbing the cores until all 27 were absorbed, raising my bloodline to 1.37%.
As a result, my Earth Control spell leveled up to Level 4, while Magma Creation reached Level 3 and Magma Absorption also reached Level 3.
I also gained 1 new spell.
[Lv. 1 Fire Bolt: A basic ranged attack which allows the user to shoot out a bolt of fire, dealing fire damage to the target.]
As I stood up, my body felt unbelievably light. My joints no longer felt stiff, and my skin was now clear.
Looking into the mirror, I began to like my new haircut. Amelia didn’t do a bad job of it.
Next on my agenda was checking my email and messages since I had been gone for a week.
Most of them were from my mother checking up on me. I quickly responded to her messages and moved on to another message that had caught my attention.
This message came from my broker, Alfred. The message stated that he had managed to sell all the items I gave him, and it included a document stating the price at which each of the items was sold.
Apparently, the money had already been sent to my bank account.
I made a staggering $627,000. My eyes widened in shock. This was the first time I had seen this much money.
With this much, I could survive for a good 20 years without needing to lift another finger.
Immediately, I reached for the phone and dialed Alfred’s number. Soon, the formal and upbeat voice of a businessman rang through.
"Liam, I’ve been expecting a call from you a lot sooner."
"How did you know it was me?"
He chuckled.
"I make an effort to memorize all my clients’ information. So what’s the reason you called? Do you need something?"
Alfred won’t just be my broker; I’ll use him to get information too. He strikes me as a man with many contacts.
"Yes, I wanted to speak with you about 2 things actually. The first is about me starting a guild, and secondly, I need your help getting access to the player university."
