Endless Evolution as a Centipede in a Game-Like World

Before I decided to hatch the egg, I logged out of Vesperia.

Back in the real world, I quickly climbed out of bed and held the grass-colored egg in my palms.

Taking a deep breath, I finally went through with the evolution.

[1000 biomass has been spent to hatch a Forest Nymph egg instantly]

Immediately, the egg began to glow an even brighter shade of green as it increased in size.

Soon, a large crack appeared on the top of the egg, and a flower burst through the top.

Web-like cracks then spread across the egg until, suddenly, a cute round head with the eyes of a puppy popped out of the flower.

The rest of the shell crumbled soon after, leaving a tiny little nymph wearing a flower dress, standing in the palm of my hands.

Her round eyes were wide open, but even then, she still looked a bit groggy.

The little thing looked as if she didn’t know who or where she was.

She blinked a few times and rubbed her eyes before her eyes finally widened in surprise and a bright smile appeared on her face.

"Master!"

Master?

Surprisingly, she recognized me.

"You’re alive!"

"Hello Lily, do you remember what happened?" I inquired.

Her tiny face scrunched, and she looked at me as if I had asked a trick question.

"What happened... Oh, I know. I was stabbed by that bad player. It really hurt a lot, but then I sensed your poison on the sword, so instead of fighting it, I allowed it to kill me."

Surprised by her own words, she tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"Wait, aren’t I supposed to be dead?"

"No, I used your monster core to turn you into one of my monsters." I explained.

"Is that why I feel so weak?"

I nodded.

Lily began examining her appearance. Currently, she was smaller than a puppy.

After looking over her appearance, a warm smile appeared on her face as she bowed her head deeply.

"Thank you for saving me. Looking back, I don’t think I would’ve survived against those players. They were stronger than I thought, but umm... what happened to my children?" She asked nervously.

"If I have to guess, they’re all back in your domain."

Her face sunk.

"Oh."

"Can you still access it?"

"Not anymore since I’m so weak. I really wanted to see them, but as long as they are in my domain, they should be fine."

Her small cheeks suddenly puffed up with air.

"Well, as long as they don’t fight they should be fine in my domain. And as long as I have enough biomass, I can return to my former strength soon enough.... I’ll need a lot of biomass though."

"Master, can you show me my stats?"

At her request, I opened her status screen so she could see it.

Lily’s stats were just as bad as when I first entered Vesperia, though I expected it given her small size.

"I’ve lost all of my skills and spells, and my bloodline purity fell to nearly zero. It will take a lot of effort to regain my former strength, but with time, I’m confident..."

"Eeep!"

Just then, the bedroom door opened, and a surprised shriek came from the entrance.

I turned my head to see Amelia with both hands covering her mouth as she gasped in surprise. Her sparkling eyes were locked on the cute, tiny Nymph standing in the palm of my hand.

Lily turned to me for support when she saw the giant woman looking at her the same way a hungry person stares at meat.

Amelia has a strange obsession with small, cute things.

Sorry, Lily. You’re on your own. It’s your fault for being cute.

With that sentiment in mind, I placed Lily on the bed and slowly backed away.

"OMG! She’s so CUUTE!" Amelia shrieked as she picked up the confused Nymph and held her against her chest.

"Her body is so tiny and warm!"

I couldn’t lie; it was amusing to see her handle a former S-ranked boss monster like an infant.

Lily tried to fight and escape, but her cute little movements only spurred Amelia on more.

"You’re so cute my heart feels like it’s going to explode!"

Lily’s desperate eyes panned over to me for support, but after facing a giant worm monster not too long ago, I had no energy to stand between a pregnant, hormonal woman and her infatuation with a cute plant girl. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Master, who is this person?"

"From now on, you can call me big sis! Ask me for whatever you need, I’ll give it to you! I’ll spoil you rotten from now on, ok!"

"Master?!"

I understood Lily’s fright. The insanity in Amelia’s eyes scared even me!

Sigh, alas, her puppy dog eyes were too much to ignore so I decided to intervene.

I approached Amelia very casually. She didn’t even seem to notice my presence.

With her distracted, I leaned over and blew into her ears. At that moment, it was as if she was zapped by electricity as she sprang into the air and practically teleported to the other end of the room, clutching her ear with a bright red face.

"What was that? What were you trying to pull? Was that a k-k-kiss?"

"K-k-k What?" I joked mockingly, but from the murderous look on her face, it seemed she wasn’t a fan of the joke as she grabbed a nightstand and chased me around the room for over half an hour.

Soon, her pregnant lady stamina couldn’t keep up any longer, as she collapsed on the bed in exhaustion.

’Thank you, future son/daughter. I owe you one.’

As she was all tired out, I sat beside her on the bed, out of her reach, of course.

Lily’s big round eyes stared at us like we were two crazy people. Looking at her, I adorn a serious expression.

"Lily, now that you are no longer bound to your domain, you are now free to do as you wish." I said.

"I am?"

"Of course. Even though you are one of my monsters, I’m giving you a choice. You can leave and live your life however you please. Or you can stay with Amelia and I for however long you wish. In both options, I’ll give you enough biomass so you’ll be better able to protect yourself."

Forcing her to stay when all she wants to do is live a quiet life with her children in the forest wouldn’t be good for either of us. Hence, I gave her a choice.

"So, what do you choose, Lily?"
