Bai Ruxin shook her head firmly. "No. I refuse to pressure Bai Su. Bai Xue has a superpower, but doesn’t Bai Su?"

Bai Jiayue shot back, "How can you compare them? Bai Xue is a proper-born lady of our family. Are you forgetting where Bai Su came from? She’s just a mutt. How can she possibly compare to our family’s pure bloodline?"

Bai Xue was a Lion Rabbit. All the females of the Bai family were Lion Rabbits.

They were descendants of unions between lions and rabbits in ancient times. Every Lion Rabbit had a ring of fur beneath their ears resembling a lion’s mane, a mark of their lineage.

Bai Su, on the other hand, was just a crossbred Dutch Lop-eared Rabbit, with an appearance completely different from theirs.

’How can someone without the pure blood of the Bai family be put on the same level?’

The president, Bai Junlan, nodded gravely. "That’s right. Regardless of anything else, Xue’er is the one who carries our family’s true bloodline. As capable as Bai Su might be, she is ultimately not a purebred Lion Rabbit."

Bai Junlan nodded. "It would be best if she could see the bigger picture and release Xue’er. If she is unwilling, then we have no choice but to use force. The Lion Beastman Tribe is, after all, still reliant on our Female Protection Institution."

Bai Ruxin’s brow tightened. "Great-Grandmother, I feel that instead of pinning all our hopes on Bai Xue, we should focus on cultivating Bai Su. Her talents are hardly inferior to Bai Xue’s..."

"Insolence! What nonsense are you spouting?" Bai Junlan scolded her imperiously.

Bai Jiayue gloated from the side. "Exactly. No matter how powerful she is, can she guarantee producing a female every two to three births?"

She was unable to form a reply.

"Xue’er didn’t commit some grave crime. All she did was frame Bai Su. It’s not like she committed murder or arson. There’s no need to detain both mother and daughter for this long."
