Lu Tingyan’s lips curled slightly as he helped him up. "There’s no need for that."

Bi He looked at them with tears welling in his eyes. "If you can truly heal these retired heroes of my Bear Clan, then I, this old bear, swear to serve you both faithfully for the rest of my life!"

Bai Su smiled. "As long as you require, I’ll provide them with food on a regular basis until they’ve fully recovered."

Bi He thanked her again. "Wonderful, wonderful, that’s just fantastic! Name your price, we can accept anything!"

Bi Yue, who was still being forced to kneel nearby, immediately started yelling, "Father, our clan is already short on resources! Who knows what outrageous price she’ll demand?"

Bi He slapped her across the face. "Shut up! You fool! Did you really think I didn’t know what you’ve done to these retired Beastmen? Do you take me for dead?!"

Humiliated and enraged at being slapped in front of so many people, Bi Yue shrieked, "How could you hit me for this bunch of good-for-nothings? I was only thinking of the Bear Clan!"

Bai Su looked at Bi He. "Please, rest assured. These are heroes who defended our country. I have no intention of profiting from them. Lu Tingyan will provide the ingredients. You only need to send someone to my restaurant each day to pick up the food."

The raw ingredients weren’t expensive, and a man as wealthy as Lu Tingyan could certainly afford them.

Lu Tingyan, ever perceptive, nodded slightly. "Since I promised to solve this problem for the Bear Beastman clan, I will naturally see it through to the end."

Bi He was filled with both gratitude and shame.

He had opposed Lu Tingyan in meetings on numerous occasions, yet not only was the man not angry, he was genuinely offering to help.

He had assumed Lu Tingyan’s offer to help the disabled members of the Bear Clan was just an excuse to gather them all in one tribe, a ploy to use them as hostages to coerce him into submitting to the Wolf Clan.

Bi He couldn’t help but lower his head in shame. "Chief, I... I don’t know what to say. I, this old bear..."

Lu Tingyan said, "We must stand united against external threats. The peace of the Federation is paramount."

Bi He nodded firmly. "Yes! Rest assured, Chief. As long as you and Miss Bai can truly heal them and allow them to return to a normal life, the entire Bear Clan will henceforth be the Wolf Clan’s most loyal allies!"

A trace of resentment flashed in Bi Yue’s eyes, but ultimately, she said nothing.

With the matter settled, Bai Su, Lu Tingyan, and Bi He discussed the subsequent arrangements.

Her heart ached watching him. She walked over and pulled him into her arms. "Sweetheart?"

Bai Xiaoshe groggily opened his eyes and rubbed them. "Mama..."

Her heart ached for him. "Are you sleepy? The Beastman uncles can help out here. Why don’t you go back and get some sleep, okay?"

She then turned to Bai Xiaolang, who was returning with a yawn. "You too. Go get some rest. What’s gotten into you two lately? Why are you both so sleepy? Are you just too tired?"

The two little ones exchanged a glance, a guilty look passing between them.

’How could they not be tired?’

They had established a new guild in the Bounty Hunters’ black market and were busy driving Li Chenlin’s underworld forces out of the Federation.

Bai Xiaolang, having inherited Lu Tingyan’s intellect, possessed a terrifying talent for management and kept the new guild running in perfect order.

Bai Xiaoshe, who inherited Li Chenlin’s brutal, bloodthirsty combat prowess, was responsible for eliminating any scum who dared to provoke them, as well as recruiting skilled Bounty Hunters to strengthen their ranks.

They had to protect their mother, investigate what happened to the Bai family all those years ago, and find their missing younger brother and sister. If they didn’t work hard to grow stronger, how could they possibly succeed?

But being Bounty Hunters was, to put it bluntly, a life spent dancing on the razor’s edge.

The two little ones had killed more people in the Hunter market than Bai Su had killed fish, shrimp, chickens, and ducks for her cooking.

So, they could only sneak out at night after Bai Su was asleep and slip back in before dawn.

Without another word, Bai Su picked up the two little ones and carried them to their room upstairs.

She settled them on the bed. "You two are going to sleep, right here. You’re not to go anywhere, and no more working. Do you hear me?"

The two little ones nodded obediently, looking impossibly cute.

Bai Su couldn’t resist kissing Bai Xiaolang’s soft, sweet-smelling cheek, then kissing Bai Xiaoshe’s cool one. "Alright, my sweet babies, it’s time to sleep. I’ll come get you when it’s time to eat!"

"Okay!" The two little ones nodded in unison.

Bai Su tucked them in and tenderly ruffled their hair.

’Her little ones were just too good and too thoughtful. They saw how busy the restaurant was, and even though they were exhausted, they didn’t say a word and fought their sleepiness just to help.’

Bai Su’s eyes welled with tears. She was truly blessed to have raised two such thoughtful, adorable children!

’I’ll make them something extra delicious for lunch as a reward!’

As she left the room, she suddenly heard a noise coming from the third floor.

The third floor was her room. ’Has Li Chenlin woken up?’

’But I don’t have time right now. I’ll have to wait until the rush is over to go check.’

Bai Su returned to the kitchen and got back to work.

The restaurant was bustling with customers.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside.

Bai Su frowned slightly and poked her head out of the kitchen.

She saw that someone was causing a scene outside.

It looked like quite a few people were involved.

Several people were gathered around a stretcher. A person lay on it, clutching their stomach and groaning, appearing to be in extreme pain.
