Li Pan, feeling that she caused trouble for the boss, didn’t hang around and decided to lay low for a bit.

"Why don’t you give it to him yourself?"

The chef gave her a sidelong glance.

"Well, you see... the Zhang Family will be coming to seek justice soon. Uncle Wang will probably have to step in again. I’m going to go sleep in the back; I’m sleepy. Bring me some food in the afternoon, okay?"

She told him everything, and Xue Dong burst into hearty laughter.

Xue Dong didn’t think it was much of a big deal. The Zhang Family had been acting increasingly outrageous, so teaching them a lesson was justified.

"You’re not upset that I caused trouble for you and the Base Commander?"

Li Pan, having vented her anger, was only worried that she’d caused trouble for the Base Commander and her friends. She had no regrets about anything else.
