SSS Awakening: Starting With Infinite Soul Copy

"Ahhhh,"

An exhale of white breath stained the glass by the side.

A finger reached forward, gently wiping away the mist, revealing a face.

Dark, with two clear horns sticking out.

It was none other than White, who sat on a seat closest to the glass, looking outside to see clouds weaving past and an endless mountainous range.

It had been like that for 3 hours now.

He turned his head away from that and to the other side.

He was in a room with five other chairs, each occupied by a person.

Four men and a woman.

The only one White could say he knew amongst them was Leo, the stout man whom he had met before, and right now, he was busy tapping on panel after panel as he sat at the front of the group.

It seemed like he was the one responsible for piloting the jet.

There were three more men after him, and two of them were twins.

White could easily tell, given how incredibly similar they looked: same height, same facial structure, same black hair colour, and even the same style.

Wearing the same uniform, it would be almost impossible to distinguish them from each other, though White had no problem, nor would he ever have a problem distinguishing them.

He could easily see the aura lingering around both twins.

One had an aura of darkness, while the other had an aura of white burning around him like flames.

It was a new racial ability he had gained: the ability to see people as auras.

Even if he closed his eyes, which he did, he was still able to make out the clear white and dark auras of the twins.

They were younger, looking to be in their late twenties.

Their seats were close together, and both were absorbed in a gaming device, their fingers clacking furiously against it as the sounds echoed through the cockpit.

The last man in the room was the oldest among them.

He was dark-skinned and had white hair, just like White, but White could tell his hair wasn’t naturally white like his own, but because the man was old.

It was grey hair.

His face was sharp and angular, his physique just as bulky as Leo’s, though he was also tall, standing at about 2 meters.

He sat down with both arms crossed, his eyes closed, while a fierce expression lingered on his face even in his state of rest.

For some reason, White felt a chilling aura from the man. Just looking at him made his instincts scream that this was danger itself.

’Interesting,’

He thought before moving his sight to the last person in the room.

It was the woman, and the only female in the group.

She sat at the farthest end from White, on the opposite side of the jet, seemingly looking outside the window.

Her face was partially obstructed by her long, luscious dark hair that flowed like silk around her, reaching down her back, while a crimson flash buried within it came from the earring she wore on her right ear.

Her uniform was also a bit different, as she wore a short skirt instead, though the rest of her legs were hidden behind pitch-black socks, fully concealing her skin.

What caught White’s eyes the most about her was the sword strapped onto her back.

It was a long sword... a head taller than her even while seated.

She seemed to sense his gaze, turning slightly toward White, though when she did look at him, he was already staring back out the window.

There was stability and quiet in the ship for about two more hours before, all of a sudden tremors began to ring through the entire ship.

Sitting by the window, White could easily see the cause of it.

They had entered a wildly unstable area.

There were rocks, like meteors, hovering in the air, and black holes spiraling randomly across the area.

The rocks burst forward without warning at terrifying speeds, while black holes flickered into existence, dragging in and crushing everything around them before vanishing once more.

The deeper they went in, the more chaotic the phenomenon became, and the ship wasn’t able to dodge all of it.

It only seemed to worsen further, eventually drawing the attention of everyone to Leo, who called out,

"We might need to make a walk for it from here onward. The area is too unstable, and I can tell we’ve got miles of something even worse ahead of us... the ship won’t hold."

"Open the hatch, Leo."

The thick voice barreled through as the grey-haired man rose from his seat.

Immediately, the jet came to a stop, and the side of it slowly opened up to the outside.

There was no need for any more words.

Everyone immediately rose and exited the ship through the hatch, and White was no exception.

Looking around him at the chaos of the dark area, he wasn’t all that surprised by it.

He had taken missions in his past life that involved going through some of these chaotic regions.

Still, it felt a bit weird that an organization would decide to place a research facility in such a dangerous place.

When they all got out, Leo suddenly snapped his hands, and White watched as the humongous ship suddenly glowed with purple light before beginning to shrink and shrink until it became the size of a dot that slowly floated into the ring Leo had on his right hand.

The sight of that made White pause in confusion.

Not just because a literal plane had seemingly been stored away in a ring, but because the purple aura around the ring was familiar.

It was the familiar aura of Xtremecyber Academy.

That pointed to him that Xtremecyber Academy had a hand in the artifact’s creation, whatever it was.

Leo seemed to notice his confusion and said,

"It’s called a dimensional ring developed in association with Xtremecyber Academy. Only ten exist and... will ever will."
