"Combat Assessment?"

White asked, watching as the man’s hands reached forward, touching the glass before the Void.

It rippled, leading to a vortex that opened up.

He stepped into it, coming to float in the dark void, before signaling to White, who also stepped in.

"The Void restricts Essence Energy to zero, leaving you only with the power of your physical body."

He explained to White, who, of course, wasn’t affected.

"I’ll personally test your combat ability, a requirement that is placed at the utmost hierarchy in the UEF."

"Hope there are no consequences for me smashing your face in."

White said, and they all chuckled.

"Of course, there is a consequence," the officers said, continuing,

"And in your case, it’ll be you managing to pass the third assessment with a perfect score."

White grinned, cracking his shoulders.

"Sounds like a consequence I can live with."

"Ready!"

A commander shouted from outside the Void.

Officer Nick got into a battle stance that White knew all too well.

It was the combat manual being taught by the UEF to their highest officials after they had spent a minimum of five years, the FlowThai Manual.

But according to White’s memories, the combat manual was still not yet perfectly developed at this time.

And that was clear, as the man got into the combat stance and White was already beginning to see the tiny flaws.

The officers expected him to get into a stance too, but all White did was crack his shoulders before remaining where he was, his hands simply falling by his sides.

"Begin!"

The second the order was given, Officer Nick covered the entire distance, whipping forth his right leg straight towards White’s open jaw.

It was a move that White had seen all too well and performed too many times to count.

He, of course, had a thousand and one ways to evade it, and he chose the simplest.

He simply took a step back, watching the officer’s boot miss him by inches away from his nose.

A punch followed next, followed by another kick whipping through the air, but not a single one of them managed to land on White, who made minimal effort, allowing him to easily get out of range of the officer’s attacks.

The more the fight continued, the more Officer Nick got frantic, probably thinking he was making a fool of himself before the rest of the officers.

And as he got more frantic, the imperfect combat art he was using became even more flawed, until it reached a point where it did nothing but bore White, who made his decision.

’Time to end this.’

A flurry of punches and kicks came flying towards him, but White jumped into the air this time, weaving through the attacks.

As he descended, his legs wrapped around Officer Nick’s neck, and with one forceful swerve of his upper body while lowering to the ground, the officer was roughly thrown across the void.

White moved in that instant, appearing behind him and pulling him down.

His legs wrapped around the officer’s waist, his left arm twisting around the officer’s neck, while his right hand held onto the left tightly.

It was a strangling chokehold on the neck, which Officer Nick furiously tried to fight against, but escaping White’s strength, of over 1,000 stats points, was an endeavor close to impossible.

In the end, his frantic actions began to slow, and then they halted as his lips started foaming.

"That’s enough!"

An officer finally snapped, and White released his hold, rolling back and standing right on his feet.

Officer Nick quickly recovered from his unconscious state, looking at the two officers who had arrived before him, and then at White, who simply stood there with both arms still hanging leisurely by his sides.

"What happened?" Officer Nick asked, confused.

"He passed the test."

They replied, before turning to White.

"What year was it again that you said Humanity Ascension wanted you to join?"

An officer asked, and White replied,

"Third Year."

"Well, welcome to the United Earth Federation. Third-year recruit, White Sinclaw."

Compared to Xtremecyber, the UEF followed a stricter code of conduct and had an obsession with giving its students just the bare minimum to live.

They almost seemed like Aether Beyonder, but being a third year made things better.

White opened the door of his dorm room, which was on the 11th floor of a skyscraper, finding what could be described as a simple, basic room containing just the essentials to live.

But he wasn’t interested in checking them out or getting used to this.

He wouldn’t be lasting here anyway.

He dropped the heavy bag that had been given to him to contain his essentials onto the floor before bringing out the device given to him and quickly booting it up.

It was done in 30 minutes, and White began the search.

"Draugr."

He typed into the box and clicked search.

Many of the top three academies usually made sure to cut student access off from the outside world, and the UEF was no different.

But if the students couldn’t be entertained by the outside world, they had to find some sort of entertainment still, so the academy provided it for them.

There were apps and streaming services that played videos of fights breaking out between students, challenge fight recordings, or simply students going about their lives.

Like a mini-internet that students could search through, but only showing things within the school.

And when White searched for Draugr, he found his information quickly enough.

Just like what he had deduced from his past life, Draugr was truly a third-year student, with a cultivation stage of Early Cosmic Rank.

He seemed to have some affiliation with a notorious EndX Military Club, and there was footage of him fighting alongside his club against opposing clubs.

He already had some sort of reputation as a fierce bully in the military, but all the crimes he had committed that were recorded were just him fighting alongside his club.

A nuisance, true, but not something worth stepping in to stop, like a kid at the peak of his masculine energy.

But White knew better:

This would be one of the biggest horrors the UEF would ever face in the future.
