"Your fight today will be difficult."

The words echoed by the side of White’s head as he sat down amongst the seats in the arena.

Though today, he had been a bit perplexed at how filled the arena was.

It was almost to the brim.

He turned his head, and there he found a young man with purple hair taking the seat beside him.

He turned to White, stretching his hand toward him before shifting his sleeve down a bit.

There was a tattoo on his wrist just beneath his palm, and the sight of it made White’s eyes gleam.

It was the same title imprinted on the Invitation Card he had been given.

"You belong to the cult."

White said as the young man pulled down his sleeve.

"I’ve been told you’ve been recently invited."

"I haven’t given any answer, though."

White replied, and the boy smiled.

"I just wanted to warn you about your opponent today."

He said, and White turned to his watch, replying.

"Zion...Devilish!?"

He called out as the young man looked at White as if he wasn’t real before he shook his head.

"You didn’t even know his name until now."

"What’s the deal with him? Is this why the arena is so filled?"

White asked.

"His surname, Devilish, isn’t just an ordinary name."

The boy replied, and White chuckled.

"What are you trying to say, like he’s some devil or something?"

"Yes, he’s a Devil. A terrifying one."

"NEXT FIGHT!"

"Zion Devilish Vs White Sinclaw!"

"Well, guess I’ll be seeing that for myself soon."

White said, rising to his feet.

"Try to finish the fight fast. Your chance of losing increases the longer it goes on."

The young man shouted out at him as White stepped down the seats onto the arena.

BOOOOOOOM!

He had barely stepped into it when it shook beneath him as a figure smashed into the ground.

"Whoa."

White mused in quiet shock.

"He’s huge."

White was tall. Ridiculously so in this new body of his.

He stood at exactly 2.5 meters in height, but his physique was more tame, classed as lean and tall rather than huge.

But looking at the student before him, as he slowly rose from all fours and eventually came to stand up straight,

He was tall for a human, just a head shorter than White at around 2.3 meters, and what’s more, he was like the incarnation of pure muscle.

Silver-skinned with a grin bordering on insanity,

’Yeah. He’s not sane.’

White thought quietly.

"The challenger can choose the simulation area of the fight."

The announcer said.

"Where would you like to die?"

Zion asked, and White looked at the ground, tapping his feet twice on it.

"Here isn’t bad."

"Hehehe! I like the humorous ones."

With the arena itself chosen, there was no need for any simulation, and the panels disappeared, leaving just White and Zion standing on the plain ground.

"READY!"

"BEGIN!"

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!

The sound of something being torn to pieces followed immediately.

White got into a base battle stance, watching as Zion leaned forward in a crouch, and his body began to swell so much that it began tearing apart his uniform.

"Grrrrrrrhhhhh!"

Beastly growl, mixed in with pain and savagery, rang out from his lungs, followed by veins of a dark purple color, ripping from his skin.

The same was true for his eyes, which became fully purple along with a pitch-black dot in the center.

In just ten seconds, he was completely unrecognizable, having transformed from a 2.3-meter human into a 2.7-meter-tall purple monster, veins crawling across his skin, as purple mist radiated off his body like smoke from a flame.

"Ifg... you... havg any tech..nig... beter... usg... it... nowg."

His words didn’t sound human at all, more of a devilish growl.

’Hey system... what exactly is he?’

White asked, as the ground beneath him had a mini ripple of air quietly undulating out.

[He’s a Human but has an incredibly Pure Demonic Awakening.]

’Have you...’

He asked, pausing without completing.

[Yes. I’ve restricted your power.]

"You... Will... Dieg.. Foolishg.."

Zion said as he completed his transformation, and White grinned in reply.

"Let’s see about that...."

BOOOOM!

BOOOOM!

The arena shook simultaneously as both burst forward toward each other.

The scene that followed next shook every student’s heart as they witnessed White instantly have his neck grabbed, his entire body hanging in the air with a single hold of Zion’s right hand.

"Hehe... Foo... lishg!"

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A massive crater appeared in the ground as White was slammed down, an uncontrollable gasp of shock and pain escaping his lips.

Zion shifted backward before he slammed down a leg onto White, opening up another crater from the power of his stomp, but White was able to dodge that by rolling away quickly.

Getting up to his feet, a massive, veiny fist appeared before his face, smashing into it as he was knocked backward by five steps.

Blood erupted from his nose, a cut appearing just above it, but Zion was unrelenting.

BOOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOOM!

BOOOOOOOM!

Every punch was beyond powerful, echoing through the arena like a bomb had been released continuously.

White’s hands were raised in a high guard as he repeatedly tanked punch after punch, each knocking him backward.

He was soon forced into the barrier, bombarded by an onslaught of punches that only grew faster and faster as Zion’s devilish grin widened.

"He’s done for..."

Some of the students whispered, yet right then,

SWOOSH!

BOOOOOOOM!

"WHAT!?"

The students shouted, jumping up to their feet in shock.

The sound of whooshing like a lash flying through the air echoed, followed by an explosion that didn’t quite sound the same.

Zion’s head jerked backwards all of a sudden, his onslaught coming to a stop as he took two steps backwards.

BUURST!

Blood burst out from a cut just beneath his right eye, and both devilish eyes widened in shock.

SPAT!

Blood splashed to the side as White spat out blood to the side.

His eye color had changed from the previous blue to a pitch-black, a crimson dot in its center.

"Don’t get too cocky... amateur!"
