In the far west of Draventhar, atop a mountain, sat an average youth. His face was covered with a pondering expression.

These past few weeks, he had been doing nothing but contemplating and... preparing. His silver slits shone lightly as he looked at the bottle in his hands for the nth time.

He had chosen this spot specifically; the emptiness of the territory and the scarcity of high-level beasts had made this area particularly quiet.

"My friend, you really have put me in a tough spot here."

Calder sighed as he looked at his storage ring and the blood.

Calder had a downcast expression as he spoke more, but then...he remembered his mother. The injustice she had suffered, the pain and despair she must have felt in her last moments.

Calder muttered, taking a deep breath. He gripped the bottle tightly and raised it to his mouth!

Just as they both were about to walk to the nearby cave, a chill ran down Emperal’s spine. He snapped his head back. High in the sky, a pair of golden eyes watched him coldly.

They were so cold that Emperal swore he felt the temperature drop. Vraelyn raised her brow at this.

Turning around, an overwhelming presence flickered in front of her. Her silver hair was floating and dancing wildly.

Soleine’s gaze dropped on Vraelyn and locked onto her for more than an appropriate amount of time.

Vraelyn chuckled when she saw this. Taking a step forward, she spoke with her chin raised high.

"My My, what a disgrace. Does every married man attract wandering cougars nowadays?"

Vraelyn sneered. She openly displayed her disdain towards the woman standing in front of her. It would have worked on or intimidated any other common woman. But common—Soleine wasn’t.

"Heh? What is this? I am always amused by how prideful these side chicks are becoming these days. I mean..."

Soleine, however, didn’t get riled up like Emperal expected her to. Instead, she replied calmly with just words alone. In fact...Emperal hadn’t even considered that possibility.

Soleine nodded when she heard that. "Even if you do not love me, I’m sure you don’t love her."

Literally, sparks flew out of both of their eyes. Much to Emperal’s horror.

"Infernal Dragon, t-this. What should I do?"

Emperal gulped, seeing that they were still eyeing each other. Without his mind even ordering them, they began to move on their own accord.

"Shit, I am leaving."

Saying that, he slowly slipped away. Even if they were Supreme Verth Practitioners...they were unable to detect this small anomaly.

And the man didn’t know how big a bullet he had dodged at that moment.

After that incident, both of the women found him again. And after endless arguments and conversations, Emperal ultimately chose to go with Soleine.

That night, Emperal stood on the balcony of his mansion at the end of the cliff in Dawnreach. Soleine had dropped him there before entering her Royal Palace.

Emperal rolled another leaf of tobacco and lit it up.

"Infernal Dragon, I have decided." He spoke, puffing another bout.

"...What did you decide?" Infernal Dragon’s curious voice rang out.

"Vraelyn and Soleine...I can’t leave either, and I won’t choose just one."

"Emperal, you bitch. Your greed knows no limits! Are you even capable of doing what you have just said!?"

Infernal Dragon couldn’t believe what it had just heard. What did Emperal mean about he couldn’t leave either and wouldn’t choose just one?

Emperal was silent for a few seconds. After an unhealthy amount of smoking, he nodded.

"That and everything else will fall at your feet, Emperal. I am not stopping you from acquiring them. Heck, if you reach the peak, you can take as many women as possible. Now, focus on reaching that and think about the rest later."

After a few seconds, Infernal Dragon once again spoke, which made Emperal agree, but then, he chuckled.

"These two are enough for me."

Saying that, he jumped down. The Verth around him moved, forming a small dagger. Looking at the dagger, his eyes widened.

A crazy idea popped into his mind.

"Say...Infernal Dragon, what would happen if I fused my Verth and Soul Energy?"
