Emperal paused, Dresh curiously looked up. Wondering what this man was doing.

Emperal’s lips parted as he spoke some mysterious words, under the surprised eyes of Dresh. His skin began to harden, a second later. Deep, hot Magma scales formed on his body. From his neck and chest all the way to his forearms. They were all covered.

And under the shocked eyes of Dresh, Emperal’s nails stretched into terrifying claws. Without hesitation, he drove his claws into his right chest!

"EMPERAL!!?"

Dresh screamed in horror as warm blood splashed on her face, and her face paled.

There was no change in his expression as he violently pulled out a huge chunk of his draconic scale.

Blood ran down his chest, soaking his robes and the ground below. Emperal bit his lips lightly as an unimaginable amount of pain coursed through his chest.

Looking at the horrified Dresh below, his lips curled up.

He opened his palms, and there was a single draconic scale. It was the size of his fist. Deep crimson, and the worst part? It was still pulsing lightly with immense heat radiating from its core.

Dresh’s heart shook when she saw this; her entire body felt like it was paralyzed. She never thought there would be someone willing to go so far...for her sake. She raised her gaze to look at him.

"My scales will regenerate," He said, his lips curled in a small, strained smile, "But I removed this before the cycle could catch up to it. It won’t grow back."

Saying that, he pressed it into her trembling hands.

"The heat will last more than a few decades, probably even centuries, given how strong the fire is. Wherever you go, or the Hollow takes you, this will carry my signature. Something from me that isn’t replaceable."
