He couldn’t help but mutter. Its outer shell was ordinary grey, and there was nothing even close to the thing called Heavenly treasure.

It was just that, the size. Its height was almost close to his torso.

"Infernal Dragon, what do you think?"

He spoke.

Emperal tilted his head curiously, from the entrance. Two pairs of footsteps echoed. Looking ahead, he saw two borderline hideous-looking young men walk towards him.

Their chin was held high and their posture arrogant.

"Brat! Give that treasure back this instant!"

One of them spoke, pointing his hands at Emperal.

"Are these two...idiots?"

Emperal couldn’t help but be puzzled.

"What treasure?"

He asked with a confused expression, hearing his words. The two Verth Wielders’ expressions changed.

His aura of Stage Three Verth Wielder rolled out and descended directly on Emperal.

"Hmph! Just die"

The one who released it was Ulric; he thought that just his pressure of peak Wielder was enough to crush a Verth Seeker.

Well, he wasn’t wrong. It was just that, the person he chose was...wrong.

Emperal smirked when he saw this, taking a step ahead. He dashed forward.

"SO FAST!?"

Ulric muttered, stunned. But to his surprise, Emperal didn’t even look at them and blasted past them.

The other man, Ulric’s best friend, snapped out of his reverie.

"Hey!! That bastard is running away!"

He shouted, just as he was about to chase Emperal. A pair of calm footsteps echoed. Ulric snapped his head towards the entrance.

Well, the word entrance shouldn’t be the correct word. Because...

"Don’t mind, I have blocked the entrance for a few minutes"

Emperal’s smirk widened slightly as he looked at them. But his words just confused them further.

"Shouldn’t...we be saying those words?"

Ulric tilted his head, confused, earning a nod from his partner. Emperal chuckled and shook his head.

"I just wanted to try something"

Saying that, he stretched his hand back and drew his Sword. The air made shhlling~ sound as veins popped on Emperal’s forearm.

"!!!"

The two were shocked when they saw the blade. Ulric couldn’t help but speak.

"What an evil and ominous blade! Are you a demon or something!?"

Ulric blinked. In the next moment, he felt his center of gravity shift.

"Huh? What happened to my legs?"

He muttered confusedly as he...slowly slid down on the ground. Ulric’s eyes widened in horror as he looked down at his legs!

Alas...there were no legs down there. Down from his thighs, there was nothing but blood.

"N-N-NO!!! My legs!!!"

He shouted in horror, making his partner snap out of his daze.

"ULRIC!!"

He shouted, just as he was about to dash towards him. A sharp claw clutched his neck, making him immediately choke.

"Not so fast, little man, didn’t I say I needed to try something?"

Emperal’s smirk widened into a grin as he held him in one hand and the sword in the other.

"Kkh! W-What do you w-want!?"

He forced those words out of his throat.

"Your emotions"

In return, he got two icy cold words, leaving the sword in his hands. His right claw made its way to his face.

"Those arrogant eyes, I think it doesn’t suit on a person like you"

The man felt a chill down his spine as he heard those words, now he was scared, like, really, really scared.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his eyes. He snapped open his eyes only to see a pair of claws digging towards his eyes.

"W-WAIT!!"

He desperately tried to escape, but it was no use; with a smirk, Emperal’s claws cruelly dug in his eyes mercilessly.

The moment it did, an unimaginable amount of pain exploded in his brain.

"I-IT HURTS!! ARGHH!!!!"

His body was desperately shaking, like a person being electrocuted; he started to twitch violently.

"I’M SORRY, I’M SORRY, PLEASE LEAVE ME!"

He desperately begged, but the claws didn’t have ears as they went deeper and deeper. Blood sprayed all across the ground.

And he wasn’t even close to dying as the claws were going deep as slowly as possible and inflicting as much pain as possible.

This continued for several more minutes. Emperal’s face was as cold as ever. With a yank, he violently ripped out the man’s brain. The body dropped on the ground with a dull thud.

Emperal threw the brain aside and gripped the sword beside.

The moment he did, under the horrified eyes of Ulric. Dark crimson wisps slowly floated from above the dead man’s chest and shot straight towards the sword!

Emperal watched this amusingly, the moment the dark wisp entered the sword. It...further darkened!
