"What!? When did he!?" Sarina snapped her head to the side, and to her horrifying realization. That clapping and the voice...both belonged to Emperal.

She narrowed her eyes, a trace of fear passed through her eyes as she looked at the young man walking in a carefree manner towards...the giants.

"W-What is the guy even thinking? Is he trying to play the hero?"

She couldn’t help but think; suddenly, a thought zapped into her mind.

"I-I can run away right now!"

She thought, but her eyes...and legs. One was glued to a confident figure, and the other to the ground. An evil thought formed in her mind.

Emperal nodded with a satisfied look on his face.

This time, even the leader was surprised; he looked at Emperal curiously. Wondering if the man was insane by his words.

But his subordinates and Ryael’s subordinates...they had different reactions.

The three subordinates of Ryael were furious when they heard that blatant disrespect, not to mention from a no-name Verth Seeking brat!

"Boss, did you hear what that brat said?"

One of the cultivators of Stormhorn chuckled and jeered from behind. The rest of the cultivators with him joined and laughed.

But suddenly, their leader raised his hand. All conversations instantly died, and not just because of their leader.

Up ahead, just as Ryael’s subordinates were about to attack Emperal. A monstrous pressure locked them in their place.

One of them stuttered, too stunned to believe. But Ryael didn’t pay much attention to them.

Emperal looked at Ryael with a small smirk; he didn’t even look at the barking dogs. Ryael chuckled when he saw this.

"I didn’t think you’d reveal yourself so early...Second commander"

The moment those words echoed, the entire valley was stunned into silence. Even the Verth Shaper of Stormhorn looked at the scene in disbelief.

"Second...commander? So, all this while. He wasn’t the Vice Lord?"

The Verth Shaper of StormHorn clan—Theron StormHorn muttered. It wasn’t just him; even Ryael’s own subordinates looked at the scene in disbelief.

"W-What? V-Vice Lord...what is happening?"

But Ryael didn’t heed their words, walking up to Emperal. He extended his hand for a handshake.

Which Emperal took without hesitation.

"Looking at you bullying the weak, I’m sure you are having real fun here"

Emperal’s lips curled slightly, to which Ryael just sighed and shook his head.

"It is nothing, I found an unknown treasure here. Whose information, even I do not know. It’s just that there was a minor obstruction." Ryael smiled wryly and pointed at Theron. Who was still quietly watching all the drama.

Emperal’s eyes shone when he heard the words treasure, "What treasure is it?"

He asked, even though he was really curious inwardly. He didn’t let it show on his face.

"It’s in between those small mountains. I had almost got my hands on it if not for this bastard attacking me at the last moment"

Ryael spoke as he glanced at Theron coldly. He had almost gotten his hands on the treasure. But this...bastard just had to ruin it.

"Hmm, I see"

Emperal frowned when he read the situation; it was almost the same as he had predicted. He looked at Theron, who was still standing there, staring at them.

"Can you defeat him?"

Emperal asked directly, and for a moment, Ryael was speechless. But he spoke.

"I am not sure about defeating, but I can definitely go toe to toe with him and still come out alive," Ryael said, his words oozing with confidence.

Emperal nodded in satisfaction when he heard those, "Good, alright. Listen"

Emperal whispered in his ears for a few seconds, Ryael’s eyes widened the more he listened to Emperal. At the end, he looked at Emperal strangely.

"Second commander...are you sure?"

He asked, to which Emperal nodded with a smile.

"Yes, just hold off the Verth Shapers for me, and I’ll handle the rest."

Ryael took a deep breath when he heard those words and nodded once.

"Then we will go according to your plan"

The moment those words echoed, the temperature changed drastically as pure blue flames burst around him.

He then turned towards Theron, taking a step forward, and he vanished.

Thick lightning flashed as Theron drew his blade at the speed of lightning and slashed upwards. The lightning ripped through the air and struck straight at Ryael’s hand!

A massive explosion echoed as the aura of the Two Shapers descended upon the valley. It was suffocating to say the least.

The rest of the cultivators barely made it out; even the early Verth Shaper was no different. But...who the hell cared about these things?

Their leader’s fighting was the ultimate clue, drawing their weapons, their aura burst forth as the five cultivators of StormHorn Dragonkin dashed towards the three Solmere cultivators.

"Hmm, the Verth Shapers are equal in number. So, the fight should be prolonged," Emperal muttered, immense fire burst behind laterally.

Deep scorch marks appeared on the ground as he had already crossed hundreds of meters.

"Shit! He is going for the treasure! You two, go and capture him; we will hold these three fuckers back"

One of the StormHorn cultivators barked at the nearest Verth Wielder, who hesitated for a second before nodding. Alongside the other wielder, both of them dashed towards Emperal.

The Verth Shaper, who had ordered them to follow, couldn’t help but gawk in surprise when he saw the sheer speed Emperal had displayed. His gaze dropped on the leftover sparks on the scorched ground, the moment he looked closely. His eyes widened.

"Those flames...!! H-He has draconic flames!"
