"Huff... Huff. Man, hadn’t exhausted myself like this in a while," Emperal muttered as he desperately tried to move his body. But nothing was responding.

He was almost paralyzed due to exhaustion. Looking beside him, he found the badger desperately huffing for air. Its tongue was lolling out.

Feeling the gaze, it couldn’t help but speak. "Y-You can feel honoured, after all, you have matched the one percent power of the Elegant Sovereign."

It spoke. Emperal shook his head. He didn’t have the strength to even be angry at this point.

"Just what are you, wet dog? Aside from my draconic flames... nothing works on you. Not any elements nor any Verth."

Emperal curiously asked, after all. He had, of course, used his Soul Energy too, but to his surprise, this wet dog was immune to even that! What sort of absurd existence was this? Emperal could definitely not comprehend.

The badger snorted in disdain, making Emperal’s brows twitch in annoyance.

The badger snorted back, still catching its breath. Hearing those words, Emperal’s lips curled slightly.

"What am I gonna do, huh?"

He muttered. Suddenly, his hand, which had felt like it had become paralysed, slowly began to move. Not just the hand, his entire body began twitching as the intense fatigue began to waver off.

Emperal slowly straightened his back and stretched his hands wide. Although the exhaustion was still there, he could at least move his body.

The moment he did, he waved his hand slightly, using whatever soul energy he had. The space vibrated for a second, and a green leaf materialized in his arms. Without hesitation, he swallowed it whole.

The badger struggled beside him, but, unfortunately, due to exhaustion, it couldn’t move at all.

"Ah~ That feels far better," Emperal muttered. It was, of course, given to him by Dresh. One of the many treasures she left behind for him.

And the most satisfying thing in this ordeal? The damn badger also understood that.

It desperately spoke, hoping the glow on his fist would dim. Emperal raised his brows when he heard that.

His grip loosened on its neck ever so slightly. "What deal?"

Those words stunned Emperal. He looked at the Badger in disbelief, which slowly shifted to contempt.

"Look at you, aside from boasting, you are even lying now?"

Emperal snorted, his grip tightened around its neck further.

"Smoll man! I haven’t fallen so low as to lie to lesser existen—Khhkk!!"

Before it could complete its words, Emperal tightened his grip, almost crushing its throat. But, to Emperal’s surprise, after a certain limit, he could no longer press it forward.

"Does this wet dog have an invincible physique or something?"

He couldn’t help but wonder, but then he shook his head and looked down with a wide grin on his face.

Emperal spoke with a tone of finality. The Badger looked at Emperal, gritting its teeth.
