"Heh heh, a sincere offer?" Putting down his chopsticks, Mu Chen smiled warmly at Han Jun.

Han Jun glanced arrogantly at a painting on the wall and chuckled. "Name your price."

"This much." Mu Chen held up one hand.

The guard saw this and sneered, "Five hundred Elemental Crystals? You’ve got some nerve."

But Mu Chen just shook his head and chuckled. "Fifty thousand Purple Elemental Crystals. Not one less. What do you say? Are you buying?"

Mu Chen’s voice wasn’t loud, but the restaurant was quiet. His words made the jaws of every patron on the first floor hit the ground.

After a moment of silence, people began to whisper amongst themselves.

"Fifty thousand Purple Elemental Crystals, tsk tsk!"

"He really has some nerve. That’s the Young Lord of Cold City, Young Master Han Jun."

"Pfft, the kid must be drunk."

The commotion quickly caught the attention of the establishment’s management. In a small private room on the west side of the second floor, the graceful figure of a woman flickered in and out of view behind a beaded curtain. She sat cross-legged behind a long table, her slender, pale hands gently caressing a guqin on its surface as a maidservant reported something to her.

After listening, the woman slowly rose. Her figure swayed as she walked to the side of the beaded curtain and gazed down.

"Hahaha, are you kidding me? Fifty thousand Purple Elemental Crystals to buy your seat?" The guard, stunned for a moment by Mu Chen’s words, finally reacted and burst into laughter.

His laughter quickly spread, and soon all the patrons on the first floor were laughing as well. Mu Chen shook his head, picked up his chopsticks again, and placed a chicken leg in front of Iron Armor Steel Fang. Without ceremony, Iron Armor Steel Fang snatched the chicken leg and devoured it in two or three bites.

This action immediately provoked the guard’s displeasure. His expression changed, and he snapped, "Kid, if you know what’s good for you, get lost. Or else... hmph."

"Or else what?" Mu Chen’s spirits lifted at the threat. He hated being threatened more than anything. Even when he was powerless, he had never backed down from a threat, often resisting even more fiercely. Now that he had power, the natural pride in his heart demanded that he stand tall. He had long since sworn to himself that he would never let anyone bully him again in this life.

"Or else I’ll make you disappear from this world."

Surprise showed on Mu Chen’s face. This time, the speaker wasn’t a guard, but the man who wanted to buy the seat himself, the Young Lord of Cold City, Han Jun. A grin spread across Mu Chen’s lips. Pretending he hadn’t heard clearly, he asked again, "What did you say?"

Han Jun sneered and shouted, "I said, I’ll make you disappear from this wor—"

SMACK!

A crisp sound echoed out, and the entire boisterous Celestial Fragrance Pavilion fell deathly silent. Everyone stared in shock at the youth in the wolf fur coat. The young man stood perfectly straight, his left hand resting lightly on the tabletop. His eyes were closed, and the corner of his mouth was turned up in a devilish smirk.

Han Jun, standing before him, was frozen in place. A bright red handprint was clearly visible on his right cheek, and a trickle of blood hung at the corner of his mouth. Clutching his face, Han Jun stared dumbly at the smiling Mu Chen. Only when a searing pain flared up on his cheek did he finally snap out of it.

"You... you dare hit me?" Han Jun’s eyes were bloodshot. His handsome face was twisted in a grimace, and his voice had grown shrill with rage.

Mu Chen opened his left hand and said nonchalantly, "I hate being threatened. Since you like making threats so much, I’ll just have to beat you until you can’t make them anymore."

"You useless trash! I want him dead!" Consumed by rage, Han Jun pointed a finger at Mu Chen and roared.

At the command, the expressions of all the guards changed drastically. This kid had slapped their master’s face right in front of a dozen of them. If their lord found out when they returned, their fate would be worse than death.

"You’ve got a death wish, kid!"

A stocky guard flicked his wrist, and a longsword appeared out of thin air. Primordial Power surged as four orange Martial Rings shot out from under his feet. He slashed out, sending a wave of Sword Qi toward Mu Chen’s waist. The moment the surrounding patrons saw a blade had been drawn, they scattered in a panic. In an instant, the vast first floor of the Celestial Fragrance Pavilion was empty, save for Mu Chen and Han Jun’s group.

Seeing the Sword Qi approach, Mu Chen didn’t even try to dodge. He raised his left hand, gathering pure Primordial Power in his fist, and punched straight at the incoming attack.

"Thunderbolt Fist."

CRACKLE!

With a sharp tearing sound, Mu Chen’s fist, wreathed in Thunder, slammed into the Sword Qi with a loud crash. A crisp shattering sound followed. To everyone’s astonishment, Mu Chen had used nothing but the strength of his own body to punch through a Martial Master’s Sword Qi, shattering it to pieces.

The Martial Master who had unleashed the Sword Qi stared wide-eyed. He looked in disbelief from the sword in his hand to Mu Chen’s unscathed fist and cried out, "That’s impossible!"

Mu Chen sneered. Gathering Primordial Power in his hand, he stomped his foot. Three red Martial Rings instantly spread out from beneath him. With a crackle of roaming electricity, he flashed to the side of the guard who had attacked him and threw a punch.

POW!

An immense amount of Primordial Power, imbued with the Explosive Power of the Thunderbolt Fist, instantly struck the Martial Master in the chest.

CRACK! 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

With a sickening crunch, the Martial Master’s eyes bulged. A huge mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips. His chest had caved in, forming a massive crater. He was clearly dead.

Han Jun’s expression changed dramatically. As a Grand Martial Master, he hadn’t been able to follow his opponent’s movements at all. He knew perfectly well what Mu Chen’s Martial Artist Realm was—a mere Third Ring Martial Artist, and one whose Primordial Power was attributeless. And yet, this very person had killed one of his Fourth-Ring Martial Master guards with a single punch.

The corner of Mu Chen’s mouth lifted. "Heh heh, my turn now," he said with a grin.

With that, Mu Chen circulated his Primordial Power, clenched his fist, and with a single step, charged toward Han Jun and the others...

The second floor of the Celestial Fragrance Pavilion was still full of people. News of what was happening on the first floor had naturally traveled up quickly. However, everyone knew that one of the parties involved was the son of Cold City’s City Lord. They couldn’t afford to gawk; if he noticed them, their future days in Frost Cold Town would become very difficult.

Seeing Mu Chen about to charge with a single step, Han Jun was horrified. He shouted, "What are you all standing there for?! Attack him together! Can a single Third Ring Martial Artist possibly withstand the attacks of a dozen Martial Masters?"

At his words, the dozen or so stunned guards came to their senses. They each retrieved their weapons from their Space Rings and charged at Mu Chen with furious roars. The distance between them was already short, and they clashed in less than half a breath’s time.

Mu Chen’s eyes and hands were fast. Seeing a Martial Artist’s longsword about to strike his face, he took a quick step and twisted his body strangely, unnaturally evading the man’s blade. The guard, having missed, immediately tried to turn and pursue. But the moment he turned, he saw a fist crackling with arcs of electricity rapidly growing larger before his eyes.

BOOM.

With a loud bang, the guard’s nose was completely shattered. Blood gushed from his face, his features utterly ruined. The other guards charging forward were both shocked and enraged. They unleashed their Combat Skills one after another. In an instant, all sorts of Sword Qi and killing moves converged on Mu Chen.

’Heh, they’re really giving me too much credit.’

As the thought crossed his mind, the Star Mark on Mu Chen’s left wrist suddenly burst with a dazzling light. A slender, silver Locking Chain shot out from his sleeve like a bolt of lightning. It rapidly coiled around his body, wrapping him completely and forming a natural barrier. Of course, the onlookers didn’t see the moment the Locking Chain appeared, as countless waves of Sword Qi and Combat Skills had already engulfed Mu Chen in a kaleidoscope of brilliant light.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!...

Every single killing move slammed into the spot where Mu Chen stood without exception. For a moment, dust and smoke filled the air, and the splintered remains of expensive tables and chairs flew in all directions.

Han Jun wiped a bead of sweat from his temple and sneered with contempt, "Damn it. I thought this kid was so tough. Turns out he’s just a paper tiger."

He knew that taking the full force of over a dozen Martial Masters’ Combat Skills head-on was something that not even a Grand Martial Master could withstand, let alone a mere Martial Artist. Although Mu Chen had shown surprising strength, Han Jun was still confident that he couldn’t possibly escape such an onslaught unscathed.

Soon, the dust settled, revealing Mu Chen at the center of the attack. When they saw the scene clearly, they were utterly terrified. Han Jun’s face was a mask of horror as he shrieked hysterically, "This is impossible! Absolutely impossible! How could a Third Ring Martial Artist withstand the Combat Skill attacks of more than a dozen Martial Masters?!"

Mu Chen’s face was impassive. "Nothing is impossible," he said flatly.

He took a step forward. The three red Martial Rings at his feet exploded with a brilliant light as his Primordial Power surged. His figure flickered, leaving a faint afterimage in his place. With a crackle, a Martial Master guard next to Han Jun was sent flying, crashing through a pile of tables. Immediately after, a series of dull thuds echoed as one guard after another was sent flying away from Han Jun’s side. The first floor of the Celestial Fragrance Pavilion was instantly reduced to a wreck.

After sending the last Martial Master guard flying, Mu Chen tilted his head, the corners of his lips turning up. He looked calmly at the deathly pale Han Jun and gave a slight smile. But in Han Jun’s eyes, that smile was like a demon’s, plunging him into an icy abyss.

"Only you left."

Mu Chen said flatly. He stomped his foot, and an arc of electricity shot out from under him, streaking across the floor like a silver Thunder Light. In an instant, he was in front of Han Jun. He swung his left hand violently, sending a powerful wave of Primordial Power crashing toward Han Jun’s face.

But just as his fist was about to connect with Han Jun’s face, a figure in black suddenly flashed into view. A large hand, formed into a palm, slapped down on Mu Chen’s fist.

BOOM!

A massive explosion rang out. After the roar subsided, Mu Chen’s face was pale. He suddenly felt a warm gush rise in his throat, and with a spurt, he coughed up a mouthful of blood. He stumbled back more than ten steps before he could stop, staring blankly at the person who had appeared before him.

It was an old man with a ruddy face and white hair, dressed in long black robes that billowed without any wind, moved by astonishing fluctuations of Primordial Power. Rings of green Primordial Power swirled around his palm, and seven green Martial Rings materialized clearly, one by one, beneath his feet. He glared at Mu Chen and said coldly, "Little one, injuring so many of Cold City’s Guards is one thing, but you even dared to strike a killing blow against my young master. You have some nerve!"

Mu Chen frowned. The old man’s strength was crystal clear: a Seven-Ring Martial Spirit. At his current level, even a One-Ring Martial Spirit could seriously injure him with a single slap. Fortunately, this old man hadn’t used his full power. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten off with just coughing up some blood.

"Elder Feng!" Han Jun’s expression changed the moment he saw the black-robed old man. His face was a mask of grievance. "If you had been a moment later, Jun’Er would never have seen you again."
