Outside, it was perfectly tranquil. Sitting on his bed, the front of Mu Chen’s shirt was already drenched in sweat. Mu Chen knew that to truly complete the first Seal, the entire mark needed to become completely red.

The sealing mark on Mu Chen’s arm had finally turned from white to a solid red. And at that exact moment, the surging red Primordial Power in his body began to recede.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

Amid a series of sharp cracking sounds, Mu Chen’s severely twisted and withered arm was suddenly lifted by an unknown force. Immediately after, two streams of red energy surged from the sealing mark and coiled around his entire arm. The shriveled limb then abruptly swelled, and with a rush of warmth, sensation returned to it.

Sinking his consciousness into his body, Mu Chen stared, dumbfounded, at the changes in his left arm. From within it, countless white particles were being rapidly drawn out through his pores, the powder tinged with a faint pink.

"This is... powdered arm bone..." Mu Chen gasped.

His left arm was now completely hollow, save for the vibrant red of his flesh and blood; the bone was gone. The white bone dust continued to be expelled from his arm. Meanwhile, in the space where the bone had been, tiny reddish particles were steadily coalescing. As time passed, they gradually took shape, finally condensing into a complete arm bone that replaced the original.

Gazing at the reborn, smooth, and gleaming red arm bone, Mu Chen was utterly stunned. It was simply unimaginable. He had merely cultivated a Secret Technique, yet it had actually reconstructed a bone in his body. Even though it was only one arm, in Mu Chen’s eyes, any Secret Technique that could alter the human body’s structure was already a Top Level one.

He could clearly sense a world-shattering transformation in his arm. Its strength, speed, Explosive Power, and even its Defense Power were all several times greater than before. They were on a completely different level! Mu Chen even felt the illusion that, without sealing his power, he could still control his current strength to perfection. The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.

But just as he was overcome with excitement, the two spiraling bands on his left arm suddenly contorted. The sealing mark let out a beastly roar like that of a tiger, and the two twisting spirals, as if obeying a command, instantly constricted, branding themselves fiercely onto Mu Chen’s arm.

"Hmph!"

The sudden shock made the nerves in his arm seize up, and he couldn’t help but grunt in pain. Mu Chen’s gaze fell upon his bare left arm. On its surface, two strange, spiral patterns now coiled around it. On the outer side of his upper arm, a mark resembling a mysterious beast’s head shimmered with a faint glow.

Mu Chen stared blankly at his completely unfamiliar arm and murmured, "So this is the Power Seal created by the Son of Taotie? It’s so thorough!"

He swung it gently a couple of times. Mu Chen felt his strength had been reduced to about thirty thousand. Before his arm was reforged, his strength had been a staggering ninety thousand. Now, his arm bore two seals: the first sealing twenty thousand, and the second, forty thousand. ’Following this pattern, the third seal would be eighty thousand, and the fourth would be one hundred and sixty thousand... It’s hard to imagine just how terrifying it would be for a human to possess strength in the hundreds of thousands.’

With a single thought, the winding red patterns on his left arm erupted with an astonishing light. Mu Chen’s expression focused. He silently recited the Secret Technique Mantra in his mind and then shouted, "Condensing Power Seal, first layer, open!"

BANG! With a sharp crack, one of the red patterns on Mu Chen’s arm lifted off his skin, coiling around it like a spiral band of light. From a distance, his arm looked as if it were shrouded in a red vortex, emitting the savage aura of a Desolate Beast.

The moment the red pattern lifted, Mu Chen felt his base strength instantly increase by twenty thousand. This sudden, overwhelming surge of power filled him with an intense urge to unleash it. His arm muscles bulged and relaxed rhythmically. Frowning, Mu Chen quickly got out of bed and hurried to the training room.

A moment later, a terrifying BOOM echoed from Mu Chen’s training room, shaking the entire student dormitory.

Mu Chen stared in astonishment at the deep crater in the Barrier before him. He glanced back at his own arm, his heart pounding in shock. ’That wall is supposed to withstand a full-powered blow from a Martial Emperor,’ he thought, ’yet I managed to punch a thirty-centimeter-deep dent in it with only the first layer of the Seal undone. What would happen if I released the second?’

An idea took root in Mu Chen’s mind, one he couldn’t shake. He had to try it. He had to see just how immense his power would be with the Seal fully released!

"Condensing Power Seal, second layer, open!"

As another swirling red pattern lifted from his skin, Mu Chen’s Power Seal was completely released. The Condensing Power Secret Technique activated, and he channeled every ounce of strength in his body into his arm. The violent aura of an Ancient Giant Beast erupted from the limb as streaks of red lightning crackled across its surface. The spiral bands of light spun rapidly around his arm with a sharp WHOOSH.

Quickly targeting a new section of the Barrier, Mu Chen’s expression hardened as he roared, "Thunderbolt Fist!"

The force of the blow created a massive vortex in the air as his fist, wreathed in red lightning, slammed viciously into the targeted wall panel.

BOOM! With a thunderous roar, Mu Chen’s entire body pitched forward, his fist still pressed against the resilient Barrier. The force it had to withstand this time, however, was on a completely different level from his previous attack. Not only was there now a meter-wide crater in the Barrier, but a minuscule crack—so fine it was nearly invisible—had appeared at the point of impact. The appearance of that crack confirmed his theory.

’When I concentrate all my strength into a single point, the explosive power is more than five times my normal output. With that kind of force, who among my peers could possibly withstand a single blow?!’

’Unless I’m facing a Heaven-Defying Defender, I should be able to instantly kill any other Martial Artist at my level!’

With a thought, the sealing mark on Mu Chen’s left arm flickered. The two red patterns receded back onto the surface of his arm, becoming as mundane as a pair of tattoos.

After leaving the training room, Mu Chen returned to his room and fell into a deep sleep. Although his Primordial Power was fully replenished after every perfect clear of the Tower of Calamity, the mental energy he expended was not.

However, what Mu Chen didn’t know was that while he slept soundly, his two earth-shaking strikes had jolted everyone in the dormitory awake—everyone, that is, except for Little Tiger and a couple of others. Since it was already three in the morning, the awakened students found they could neither return to their Cultivation nor get back to sleep.

Mu Chen, Mo Qing, and the others walked out of the High Level dormitory and headed for the Demon Castle, where a new day of classes awaited them. Of course, an Outsider like Mu Chen had no need to attend.

Lingyun had already explained during yesterday’s gathering that the knowledge taught at the Demon Castle was no longer sufficient for Mu Chen. Forcing him to attend classes would only hinder his progress. It was better to adopt a hands-off approach, allowing him to cultivate on his own. As he spoke, Mu Chen handed the two Scrolls to Little Tiger. Little Tiger instantly recognized the one with the strip of Sealing Clauses on it. He took them and asked, "Brother Mu Chen, you’re already done? That was so fast! But what’s this other Scroll?"

Mu Chen smiled faintly. "Your Scroll was written using Ancient Literature, which most people can’t read. Fortunately, I’ve studied it since I was a child, so I translated a copy for you. It shouldn’t be so difficult for you to use from now on."

Before Little Tiger could even express his gratitude, Mo Qing asked in astonishment, "Mu Chen, you’re saying you can decipher Ancient Literature?"

Mu Chen paused, then replied, "I know a bit. The more archaic texts require some serious thought to decipher."
