The two returned to the castle, Lily and Trinee keeping a watchful eye in case they were attacked again. Landing on the open field next to the entrance Trinee shifts after Lily slides down trying to avoid the conversation. "Hey wait!" Trinee yelled trying to catch up to her.

"What the hell was that? Who were those people?" Lily had her suspicions, but there was no proof that the person she was thinking of did it or ordered the attack. Looking at Trinee, Lily could see that she was scared. "Don’t worry I’m going to tell Dimitri now. Maybe he will know who they might be. I don’t want you attacked so stay in my room tonight. I’ll be in Dimitri’s room anyway. Come on."

Going past the guards who didn’t stop them this time they headed to Dimitri’s office the door was left open and voices were speaking behind it. Lily signaled for her to stay quiet as they approached. "You have to let her go! She has no experience besides the academy of how this world works. At least if she is back where she belongs she can live peacefully. I will make sure of it."

Max’s voice sounded so sincere, but he could never stop his mother and sister unless he killed them. "She is my mate and until she tells me she wishes to leave I will not force her to go. You underestimate her and her abilities. She knows more about the world than you! Stop living in the past and see the woman she is because that is all I see. Now if you will excuse me someone is waiting for me."

Lily knew she had been caught so she proceeded in with Trinee right behind her. Trinee assessed this so-called wolf prince who now seemed less desirable then rumor said. He left in a huff looking to Lily who just watched him leave. Stopping at the door he turns to Lily. "You will always have a place in the Wolf Clan. We will always be your family."

Lily was pissed hearing this walking right up to him an inch from his face. "You were never my family." She then pulls her hand back and slaps him hard. He stumbles out the door as Lily slams it in his face.

"F*cking idiot! My Goddess, if he thought that would touch my heart. Bah!" Trinee had a shocked look on her face while Dimitri had a shit-eating grin walking over to his mate. "That’s my woman. How was your trip?"

Lily told him about the attack mentioning the cloaked figure that watched. "Trinee did you see anything?" "No, unfortunately I only caught the end of the fight before they vanished. Lily is a skilled fighter, that prince had no idea what he was talking about." Lily smirked knowing Max was a clueless idiot. She never shared her skills anytime he asked for a report while she attended the Academy.

He talked of being family, but not once did he ever ask how she was doing or ask if there was anyways he could help her at the academy. Always cold and calculating never feelings or emotion in his letters. Looking to her mate she felt glad she made the right choice to come to the Dragon Clan.

"I will send my second to investigate the scene. Maybe there is a magical signature we know left behind. And I agree with Lily, stay in her room tonight. I don’t want you taken given where your rooms are in the castle." Trinee nodded knowing her prince only cared for her well being.

"I will show her the way. Meet me in your rooms when you are done here, okay?" Lily pulled him in close a cheeky smile on his face as he leaned in to kiss her. Her toes curled from the build up of chemistry between them, Lily had to fight the urge to giggle like a school girl.

"Behave." Dimitri slapped her ass as she turned to walk Trinee up to her rooms. Nina met them out in the hall holding her bags. "Here let me grab a couple of those." "No, no my Lady I’ve got..." The look on Lily’s face made Nina stop and just walk up the stairs.

Trinee suppressed a laugh grabbing her own bags following them. Reaching their floor the group checked the hall making sure no unwanted visitors were there. They made their way quickly to Lily’s rooms closing the door quickly.

Nina Light the fire while Trinee and Lily light some candles around the room. Lily wanted to change her cloths so she went to the closet only to see a pill of ripped up fabric in the middle of the floor. "You have got to be f*cking kidding me?" The other two quickly went into the closet to see the same mess.

"I locked that door before leaving. How the hell did anyone get in here?" "I seen you lock to door..." Nina said just as confused. "Don’t touch anything. I think there’s something under that pile." Lily cautiously approached the pile seeing it lift everyone in a while. A dark cloud of smoke came from under the back side as Lily froze.

"Get out! Get out now! Run!" Lily hissed at her friends the smell of the smoke unmistakable. The darkling dragons she seen before had the same smoke smell as she quickly back out of the room. The darkling dragon started to get up as she closed the door running for the balcony. "Lily! Get over here!" Trinee shouted trying to save her friend as Nina held her back. "No, Lady Trinee that things will kill you!"

Lily pulled the doors open as the darkling jumped on her back holding her down. She tried to push up but the dragon had her pinned. *At least my friend are safe.*Lily thought waiting for the ting to kill her. A loud roar resonated in the air one that caused her soul to react. Dimitri!
