The Clan needed a strong Queen who would look after them and the well-being of their citizens. Lady Scarlett had shown great promise until Dimitri publicly rejected her in front of several nobles. Ever since she has tried to catch his eye, but with no success. The Dragon King sat back pondering this new researcher from the Wolf Clan.

When he had visited before on a few trips she was always silent in the background, doing the Wolf King's work diligently. Although the work was impeccable and communications about their correspondence went through her, the king always saw how the royal wolf family treated her like a dog.

He long suspected there might be some worth in her, but the Wolf Clan always had a hold on her. Maybe he could set up some tests to see if keeping her would be worth the trouble. If his brother was willing to vouch for this woman it might be worth the risk to have her stay.

And if anything developed between the two an alliance may come into play with the Wolf Clan. Calling for his secretary she came in waiting for his command. "Prepare a message for the Wolf King, telling him that the marriage offer between their Clans needed to be satisfied soon, and I may have a solution to our mutual problem. Set a meeting for him to come and visit. Keep this discreet. The last thing we need is too many voices giving their opinion on this."

While she may not have been an official member of the royal family she was a connection to the Wolf Clan nonetheless. She nodded jotting down a couple of notes then heading back to her desk. *This first test will assess whether she can handle pressure unexpectedly. Let's see how she handles bad news.* The Dragon King wasn't one to gamble, but this may be the only way he can convince his second son to see his choice for crown prince.
