Wei’en had just finished imprinting two Soul-Devouring Runes when he heard the voice. He had named Xiaoxi number three and four "Red Devil" and "Secret Master," respectively.

And no, don’t ask why. He just thought the two names were easy to remember.

Wei’en released Secret Master’s head, rose, and went to the window, looking toward the Laos District.

’Clelia?’

’Looks like she’s fighting someone over there...’

"Eternal life, eternal life, eternal life is truth..."

Before Wei’en could make anything out, he heard what sounded like countless voices of Clelia chanting these words in Gonzalez.

Immediately after, a gray fog abruptly rose over the Laos District.

The fog was thick and heavy, and as it billowed up, it seemed to block out the light of the red moon.

From the outside, he could only faintly see two flashes of red and black light from time to time.

But under the enveloping cover of the gray fog, the red and black flashes appeared less and less frequently.

"Clelia, I won’t let you get away with this!!"

As the voice faded, one red and one black streak of light pierced through the gray fog and vanished beneath the red moon...

Wei’en felt his scalp tingle as he watched this scene unfold.

Immediately after, a light as bright as day tore through the night sky, descending from above Krimms Cathedral onto the Laos District.

"Damn it!!"

Clelia’s furious voice rang out.

Wei’en: "..."

It just went to show that every power has its counter. Now it was Clelia’s turn to be impotent. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

After a good while, both the Dawn Radiance and the gray fog vanished, and only then did Wei’en draw the curtains.
