As his voice fell, his figure suddenly vanished.

Melbel glanced at him, then his gaze fell upon Wei’en. He slowly released the lightsaber, letting it dissipate inch by inch.

Melbel ignored him and turned to walk back toward the reception hall.

From beginning to end, his gaze never once fell upon the guard he had slain.
