The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate

"Radulf, slow down. My feet are hurting," Zenna protested as they were descending the stairs in a haste. He stopped upon hearing her plea and turned to look at her.

"Let me talk to Gregor once. He is in trouble, I feel," Zenna said concernedly.

Radulf circled one hand around her back, and the other moved behind her legs. He lifted Zenna in his arms and began descending the stairs.

"Radulf, did you not hear me? I need to talk to Gregor," Zenna said again. To grab his attention, she even hit his shoulder with her fist, but he didn’t stop until they were at the bottom of the stairs. The carriage arrived for them and Radulf made sure Zenna would get in first. He sat down across from her while the coachman locked the door from outside.

Their entire journey home went in silence as Zenna was upset with him and chose not to speak with him. As soon as they reached the mansion, Zenna rushed inside first, not caring if Radulf would follow her or not.

However, she forgot that they had a common chamber. Entering there, she realized Radulf would be there any time soon. As she turned around, his intimidating figure loomed over her.

"Stay away from other matters. Aria won’t hesitate to punish you wrongly if you speak up for Gregor or be around her. If he wants to talk to you, he’s welcome here. But it shouldn’t have happened before Aria," Radulf explained to her.

Zenna calmed down to hear his explanation and agreed with him on how Aria could have used that situation to trap her.

"Why didn’t you control your anger? You are inviting trouble," she said worriedly. Then, a smile formed on her lips. "You made Princess Aria tight-lipped," she murmured.

"I wish I could make her shut forever," Radulf said in a loud enough voice.

"You want all of them to die, don’t you? What dirty secrets does Luna Queen hold? Why don’t you share them with me?" Zenna was curious to know. She saw something strange in his eyes, which she couldn’t understand.

"I’ll change into another dress. Then, we can have dinner." As Zenna turned to leave, Radulf held her hand, thus stopping her. He pulled her back, his other hand resting on her belly as he began showering kisses on her visible neck.

"Radulf..." Zenna purred as her eyes fluttered and her lips quivered. This feeling was something new; his tender kisses on her neck awakened the butterflies in her stomach.

She thought to move away, but Radulf’s hand on her waist didn’t let her. Instead, he turned her around and kissed her lips. His hand was now under the slit of her dress, and she moaned against his mouth, her body instinctively moving closer to his.

’Radulf, you need to stop,’ he told himself. However, his body didn’t want to listen. His lips trailed kisses to her ear, kissing and nipping it.

Zenna let out another low moan, her hand clenching on his arm when Radulf reluctantly pulled away. She, too, came to her senses, realizing she gave a gateway to Radulf to have her body.

Radulf, on the other hand, seemed a bit lost. Without uttering a word, he left her sight, leaving Zenna flustered and surprised. She rested her hand on her chest, feeling the rapid rhythm of her heart.

Pia entered the chamber and bowed to her. "Luna, shall I send the dinner here, or will you two come to the dining hall?" Her voice brought Zenna out of her thoughts.

"Huh? Yes. Send the dinner here," Zenna instructed.

She saw Pia smiling at her and she touched her cheeks. "Is something wrong with my face?" Zenna inquired.

"Luna, your lip color is smudged all over your mouth," Pia said, grinning and teasing her at the same time.

Zenna covered her mouth with her palm. "This isn’t what you are thinking," she said, not wanting Pia to run her imagination.

"It’s fine, Luna," Pia remarked, still smiling. "Are you two going to do it tonight?"

"No!" Zenna refused instantly as she lowered her hands.

It made Pia laugh and she apologized for her behavior.

"However, I am so happy for you, Luna. Finally, Alpha does not hesitate to live with you. Hopefully, he gets on his knees soon and professes his love for you."

"He’s unreadable at a moment like this," Zenna remarked.

"Alpha must be flustered because he’s acting out of his character. He declared you an enemy’s daughter, but now, he yearns for you," Pia asserted.

"Not me but my body. We are mates. My pheromones affect him so much that sometimes it’s hard for him to resist. That’s why he acts out of the character," Zenna clarified to her.

"Ahh, so Alpha only wants your body," Pia asked again, feeling a bit upset.

"Hmm. That’s why it’s nothing. But I’m not giving in," Zenna replied.

"Charm your husband, Luna. That’s another way for you to find out what his thoughts are for you now. I am sure it’s not his physical needs anymore. A man’s weakness is the allure of a woman. You can find out many things while seducing him," Pia advised her.

Zenna didn’t like such an idea. Even thinking about this gave her chills. Radulf would press everything on her, saying she was the one who started it, and in the end, would have his way with her, without speaking a word about what he felt.

"I will send the dinner meals for you and Alpha. In the meantime, Luna can change. I’ll send a servant too for her help," Pia asserted and left her sight.

Zenna went to the changing room and removed her jewelry first.

"Luna, I will help you," a servant came to dress her up.

Zenna changed into a white nightgown with a net poncho stitched on it. She washed her hands and face afterward, dried them, and then headed to the outer chamber.

To her surprise, Radulf was already waiting for her at the table, looking lost again.

Zenna quietly sat on the chair across from him while Pia served them the meals before taking a step back.

"Leave us," Radulf told Pia, who bowed and left the chamber.

"Do you have to say something to me?" Zenna asked as she held the spoon. She hoped he would tell her how much it bothered him that he couldn’t have her.

"Don’t seduce me," Radulf said.

"What!?" Zenna was shocked by his response and wondered if he heard Pia’s conversation with her.

"I don’t know what will happen if you try seducing me. I won’t step away until I will ravish you till I get satisfied. I am already on the verge of losing control. I won’t wait for your consent then. If you beg, I’ll tie you to the bed, and..." Radulf paused, not wanting to scare her by showing his beastly side to her.

"If you say that you-you like me, I will give in," Zenna stated.

"What if I lie?" Radulf asked.

"You won’t stoop that low," she murmured with a chuckle. "We should eat now before the food gets cold," Zenna added and began eating.
