Peerless Perverted Actor Has a Celebrity Harem?!

Chapter 10: Luck, Cruel Gifts?

But Park had already come to know there was no free buffet here.

That was a battlefield with perfume and lipstick and probably hidden knives.

[Warning: Traits are remains beyond Host control. Improper use may generate scandal, hostility, reputational damage, career obstruction, or personal danger.]

Park snorted under his breath.

"Improper use," he muttered. "Bro, how polite. Like the System’s gonna send me a passive-aggressive text before it burns my whole life down."

He already knew this from the old days: It never made anything simple to his life. It caused problems in school hallways, green rooms, casting offices, and those depressing part-time jobs where the manager’s ego was the size of the building.

Now the same curse had grown teeth... and for once they were on his side.

His cocky side in the back of his head woke up instantly, way too excited.

’Finally. A proper cheat.’

Park side-eyed the mirror.

"Try not to get us killed before breakfast, yeah?"

There was no promises.

The the next system panel loaded.

[Lucky.]

[Host has always possessed extraordinary luck, although it previously failed to bear fruit.

Luck trait upgraded. Fruitful encounters, perfect gigs, useful coincidences, timely openings, chance meetings, casting accidents, sudden rescues, and dangerous opportunities will naturally drift toward Host. Scandals, disasters, rival attacks, and unfortunate situations may unravel in ways favorable to Host.

[Note: Favorable does not mean harmless. Host may still suffer losses, penalties, damaged reputation, broken contracts from gigs, public backlash, lost roles, or personal consequences. This trait may bend outcomes but does not erase the cost of standing in the spotlight, the worldly consequences and the balance of the world.]

Park’s mouth curved into something sharper.

Okay this one actually tracked.

It was not some broken "never lose" luck.

Just luck that finally showed up before the door slammed in his face.

Park’s Luck actually did something instead of just waving at him from across the street like that one hot girl who smiles at you and then gets into some other dude’s car before you even reach the curb.

Because that used to be his entire luck stat:

A casting call would drop in his lap, then the director’s nephew would suddenly need a debut role. An audition would go stupidly well, then the brand would decide his face looked "too expensive" for something that was supposed to feel relatable (whatever that even meant).

Some times it was a small drama that would almost cast him, then some manager would complain he had "too much presence" for a supporting part.

So yes, his luck had always been the hallway crush who smiles at you... then you see her holding hands with the basketball captain by lunch.

’Now, apparently, she might actually wait.’

But the note kept him from being an idiot about it.

Favorable did not mean harmless.

He could survive a scandal and still lose the gig. Walk away from a rumor and still pay with a brand deal. Escape a disaster with his name mostly clean but his sleep destroyed and half the internet calling him a demon with good bone structure.

The System could bend the rules:

It just couldn’t delete the consequences; that’s how the world balance worked, and what "Karma is a bitch" meant.

That was fine.

Park hadn’t asked for a clean, easy life anyway. Clean lives were for people with normal parents and zero issues. He wanted a real chance. If this trait could make chances actually stick, he’d deal with the bruises after.

"Lucky," he said quietly, tasting it again. "at last."

The next trait though hit different.

[Peerless Idol.

[Host has always been of many talents! Primary domains include acting, singing, visual presence, rhythm, emotional mimicry, memorization, vocal control, and performance adaptation. More dormant talents may awaken through pressure, training, missions, fame growth, or high-impact performances while system guidance will increase recognition, discovery, and career growth.]

This one actually hurt a little.

Beauty was whatever. Luck was nice. But talent? That was the wound he still protected like it was personal.

Because he had always been talented.

Which was what made all the rejection feel so insulting. If he’d been useless and talentless, he could’ve accepted it. If he’d been ugly or tone-deaf or just... mid, he could’ve blamed biology and gone to sell insurance or coffee or whatever slow death society offered guys who stopped dreaming.

But he hadn’t been useless.

He could act. He could sing well enough to make people stop pretending they weren’t listening. He could take a flat line and find the bruise underneath it. He could borrow real grief, real anger, real want on-point and make it look like it was born on his face.

This Park too had been the same. Practice rooms. Voice drills. Learning dance steps in secret because being a son of his father made ambition feel embarrassing as hell.1

Two boys. Two lives with the same peerless talents they didn’t even know their limits or shortcomings but they both kept getting pushed down by invisible hands, both for same reasons but different sources.

And now the System had just dumped all of it on the table and called it treasure.

Park felt something in his chest pull tight, then slowly loosen.

"You will be found," he murmured.

The bathroom suddenly felt way too small.

Then the panel straight-up glitched at the next trait.

[Shameless Perv—]

The blue text stuttered before the system’s mechanical voice dropped half an octave, as if something had made this weird artificial thing cough and glitched like a cheap speaker getting too much bass.

Park’s eyebrows shot up so fast they almost left his forehead.
