An iron ingot of 1kg was pretty small, with the dimensions 8cm x 4cm x 4cm, and it did not have any "life" like goblins did, so it was cheap to produce.

His dungeon saved 9 mana while using 1 mana for each roll, which was a significant profit ratio for Adrian. Each one of his people used the dungeon twice per day as they only needed 12 hours to naturally refill their mana back to full.

With a population of approximately 2300 people and an average mana per person being 1.7 mana, his dungeon consistently saved over 7000 mana every single day for the past week.

His people also got around 780 ingots every day, which was not a small number.

Adrian inhaled sharply. That was a total of 81,000 mana.

He took out the bag of silver coins he had gotten from the Kaldwin messenger and began counting.

"4000 Silver coins..." he muttered as he did the calculations in his head.

One silver coin could be traded for a hundred bronze coins and one iron ingot was priced at 50 bronze coins. A steel ingot cost double.

The order was only for iron ingots so after Adrian did his calculations of selling at 80% market price, which was 40 bronze coins per ingot, he ended up with 10,000 ingots in total.

"He did say that this is just a test order. He’ll probably ask for more in the future if he’s satisfied with this." Adrian muttered as he looked up at his system screen.

’Okay, use 10,000 of the stored mana and turn it all into iron ingots.’ he said as he hurried out of his house and headed straight to the inn where the messenger had been provided a room.

He knocked at the door and the messenger opened it.

"The order is ready. Did you bring the carriages to carry all the goods back to the Kaldwins?"

"Yes, my lord. The carriages are stationed at a stall right at the entrance of your town."

Adrian nodded and left the place, only to arrive at a place called "Oresfall Livery Stable" and walked in.

The owner, who was an ex-adventurer, greeted him and after some small talk, led him to the stables.

"That man brought ox carriages instead of horses so I assumed that it was for goods trade." he said as he pointed at the oxen, "The carriages are behind the building, my lord."

"Alright, bring these ox carriages to my mansion and leave them there for the night. Also bring some grass for the ox to eat during the night just in case." Adrian said and walked back to his house.

Aria sat on top of a building near the town square but no one seemed to notice her.

She yawned as she watched the people discuss the new tax rules and while most of them were delighted, the gang members and merchants couldn’t help but leave in rage and frustration.

She could tell that they would cause trouble soon, but she was more interested in the new rule that her father had introduced.

’What makes it so special?’ she thought as she extended multiple strings of mana from her fingers and attached them to the people near the notice board.

She filtered through what they were saying and locked in on the person who was reading the message directly for those who couldn’t read.

"From today, every iron and steel ingot that goes out of this territory will be taxed at 50%." the man said and immediately, there was a protest among those who were listening.

"But our old lord only taxed us 40%..." one of them said.

"Yeah, this is daylight robbery!" another exclaimed.

The reader grimaced before glaring at the two of them, "Just listen you illiterate piece of shit! Have some patience, you son of a mindless pig."

Others just chuckled and made fun of those two for a few seconds before they focused on the reader again.

"The iron and steel ingots can be sold directly to Baron Adrian at 80% market price." he said and then began to explain, "This means that you will only be taxed 20%. Compared to other lords who tax us from 30 to 60 percent, he is extremely generous."

He then continued, "This is to combat the surge of gangs that wish to steal from my people and merchants who wish to take advantage of them. Additionally, anyone who is caught smuggling goods will be punished with a hundred lashes to a death sentence depending on the amount of goods they were caught trying to smuggle."

The crowd cheered as they cursed the merchants and the gangs.

"Let’s continue." the guy said and went on, "We have also secured a deal with Viscount Alexander who has agreed to sell us wheat and other consumable goods for cheaper costs. We have been paying a premium just to have a decent meal, but now..." he said as his eyes welled up with tears, "we don’t have to worry about food anymore."

The people listening didn’t understand why the guy was getting so emotional but he was an adventurer of Oresfall for two whole decades and had suffered a lot just to eat a single meal.

He looked away from the notice board, wiped his tears and punched the air upwards, "All hail Lord Adrian Sterling!!"
