The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Adrian pointed at the mountain of corpses below them.

"Use your water magic on the pile of monsters in front." Adrian told Draven.

Draven raised his hands. A huge surge of water shot out from a mana circle that formed high up in the air and fell down over the burning corpses. Thick, foul smelling steam came up into the air as all the fires were completely put out.

Adrian did not hesitate as he vaulted right over the edge of the stone wall.

He just covered his own boots and clothes with Telekinesis to lift himself off the ground. The whole thing felt completely awful though. His brain screamed that he was plummeting to his death. But all of a sudden, the invisible grip on his clothes actually held his weight up in the air. He just prayed his shirt would not tear right in front of everyone and put him in an embarrassing situation.

But the clothes held his weight well.

He carefully drifted down through the steam and landed softly right on top of the massive, charred pile of monsters.

He placed his bare hand directly onto the scorched hide of the topmost beast.

Then he used his dungeon link. He targeted the corpse his hand was touching, and then chained the command to target every single physical monster corpse directly connected to that pile.

The entire mountain of dead monsters vanished instantly.

He sent that massive chunk of corpses straight into his dungeon storage.

Adrian pushed his mana into his boots again and floated right back up to the top of the wall before he let out a sigh.

"Okay, this one is done." Adrian told the stunned Marquis. "So if they want to come back and try scaling the wall again, they have to start from scratch. They will need to sacrifice thousands of bodies just to build a new ramp again."

Adrian dragged a sleeve across his sweaty forehead.

"And since your soldiers don’t have to go out there to clear the main pile," Adrian added. "It will not take them that much time to clean up the scattered corpses. So they will be relatively safer too."

Draven stared at the empty space where the mountain of bodies used to be, and slowly nodded his head.

"I am really grateful that you actually came here to help." Draven said sincerely.

The Marquis turned to his commanders and ordered the ground troops to go out and secure the perimeter.

Adrian just dropped down to the floor and leaned against the wall. He then looked up at the sky and let out a soft sigh.

Aria trotted over and sat down next to him. Then, she rested her head right on his arm.

He lifted his arm up and she immediately scooted in. Adrian dropped his arm securely around her shoulders and just held her there.

"Papa." Aria looked up at him. "How can you use so many spells at the exact same time?"

"Well." Adrian caught his breath. "If you pump less mana into a spell and you have a really high control over your magic, you can easily juggle a bunch of spells at once."

He tilted his head back and stared at the winter sky.

"But I cannot just throw around giant, high tier spells at the exact same time." he admitted. "I could probably cast two or three heavy spells at once. But I definitely do not think I can cast ten of them."

"Yeah." Aria nodded. "But I have read in the magic theory books that you still need a lot of mental control to make that multi-casting work."

"Well, you definitely do need intense control." Adrian agreed. "Control is a massive part of it. But Papa is blessed by the Goddess of Prosperity." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

He actually laughed out loud thinking about that crazy dragon lady from a few weeks back. He totally expected to get eaten alive on that hill. But she just patted his head and made him a blessed instead.

And since she wasn’t an angel or a demon, he basically got a second blessing apart from his Dungeon Master.

"And that specific divine blessing allows me to naturally absorb and utilize a lot more of the ambient mana floating in the atmosphere." Adrian explained. "Because the world helps me power the spell, I can use significantly less of my own internal mana to fire those attacks. And as long as my control holds up, I can do a lot of crazy things."

He patted her shoulder.

"But you also need a high amount of raw magical output." Adrian continued. "Because the total destructive power of your spells depends entirely on your raw mana input. Right now, because of my blessing, even though my personal mana input is extremely low, the actual output of the spell is incredibly high."

"So you need all three. You need perfect control, you need a massive amount of output, and that is basically it."

Adrian looked at her proudly.

"And you," Adrian smiled. "As a fourth circle mage. The fact that you are able to use multiple spells perfectly at the exact same time..."

He shook his head and chuckled.

"And you are not even just using three spells." Adrian corrected himself. "You are actually using six. Because you are maintaining a constant telekinetic grip on three separate arrows, and then you are simultaneously triggering three separate, highly compressed Gust spells behind them."

Then he paused, "Wait, you’ve been keeping mana shield active all along so it’s actually seven spells."

He pulled her a little closer.

"You are already much, much better than most veteran mages I have ever seen." Adrian whispered. "And honestly? You are probably already better at magic than Draven."

Aria just nodded and giggled happily.

Adrian gave her a few soft head pats. Then he finally looked away to check on the rest of the troops.

The local soldiers were already hauling themselves down the steep stone steps. A small handful of guards stayed up top to watch the tree line. But the rest of the exhausted army went down to the courtyard and started grouping up.

Adrian did not wait around. He walked forward, with Aria sticking right by his side.

He headed straight for Marquis Draven.

"Draven." Adrian called out.
