Holding a parchment of paper over which was a figure of a young man, she raised her chin.
Her eyes fell on the striking presence of the woman whose long, flowing pink hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing a face of flawless beauty that radiated both grace and an air of subtle dominance.
She lounged luxuriously, her body draped in delicate silks and adorned with intricate jewelry that sparkled with every slight movement.
Surrounding her were several beautiful women, each carefully attending to her with gentle massages and reverent expressions, as if entirely captivated by her presence.
Her full lips curled into a seductive smile as she cast her gaze forward. Her eyes, sharp yet playful, locked onto another woman standing before her—a crimson-haired figure holding a parchment.
"Did you call me for this? You already have brought so many boy toys to play with, yet you want another one."
Hearing this, faint laughter echoed in the chamber, and the woman raised her arm to hold the faces of two women serving her.
Each woman standing there was an exquisite beauty of her own, having a body sculpted to perfection.
"None of the boys I brought as slaves are my toys. Though they serve me, they deserve respect, so..." her eyes glowed faintly, sending warning signals to Morgana.
Naturally, it wasn’t a threat; rather, it was like a sisterly joke.
Morgana sighed and looked at the woman who was head of the Lust Clan.
Liliana Asmodeus
And truly, true to her name, she sucked the essence of men, and she had already brought 100 men.
However...
It was the way she lived. Fortunately, she was one of those who treated her people well.
Except for fear of getting sucked dry, they enjoyed luxury and freedom. If they didn’t want to serve anymore, all of them were free to leave.
"Is this guy important?" Morgana asked in confusion.
"I don’t know," Liliana answered with a smile and then turned to the women around her. "Darlings, would you leave us alone?"
The women nodded, and then, kissing the back of her palms, started leaving one by one, making Morgana flustered.
"Are you kidding me?" Morgana asked with a glare and then demanded, "Just what is this?"
"It’s nothing complicated. I am trying to increase my chances. You know I am looking for a male who can help me bear children with good potential."
Morgana’s jaw almost dropped hearing this, her mind going blank after hearing such an absurd thing.
"You want slaves to bear your child? And what about all those pursuers from those clans?"
"You know me very well, so why waste time on such a stupid question?" Liliana answered with her glare, making Morgana grumble.
"You bitch and your bullshit fetishes."
Morgana felt her head throb talking to her.
Yes, she had her own quirk. Instead of going after a stronger one, she preferred weaklings who fought their way to strength.
She bought many slaves and supplied them with resources to get stronger, waiting for the day when one of them would hold the mantle.
With her current strength, only those near her level could survive her brutal assault, and only the strongest ones could make her pregnant, but ironically, she couldn’t be frivolous throughout her entire life.
This was ruled by the Ancestor of the Lust Clan because having many children would offset the balance.
Whether male or female, they wouldn’t have a problem with thousands of partners, but having thousands of children fighting for seats was surely burdensome and detrimental to the clan, so the head was restricted to a few children.
"He is too young," Morgana concluded.
"That would allow us to see his full potential. Also, look at those sharp, cold gazes. I can feel it—this boy is going to be fatal for females in a few years and certainly won’t stay anonymous."
Morgana raised her brows and asked, "How did you know that?"
Liliana folded her legs and smirked. "I have got taste and experience in men, unlike you. Also, aren’t you going to Crestfallen Desert to check the strange inheritance? Nightcreek City is just nearby."
"Bitch, stop getting on my head. And as for me, I don’t mind going there to check, but I won’t force him to come here."
"Good... I also don’t like to do forceful things. I wanted to go there myself, but I had things to handle," Liliana spoke with a smile.
—
After that, Morgana left for Crestfallen Creek Desert. The reason was that there had been certain oddities there.
Morgana stepped onto the barren, grey mound of the Fallen Graveyard, a place only known to a select few.
This was where a great hero had once made his final stand, single-handedly holding back the Demon King and his army from invading human lands.
Though the hero was eventually defeated, his bravery had whittled down the Demon King’s forces until only the Demon King’s Five Pillars remained to end his fight. Years later, as the demons and humans ceased their endless wars with the descent of the Abyss, the region was abandoned, left to be forgotten.
Now, the graveyard was marked by strange, ghostly soil turned grey from the ashes of the fallen. A single twisted tree rose from the center, nourished by the essence of countless dead, and though it appeared ordinary by day, at night it transformed into a haunting phantom.
Many had feared this tree, claiming it was cursed, yet legends told of an inheritance hidden in this place for those bold enough to find it.
But Morgana froze, eyes widening.
The tree was a mix of specters from countless demon legends.
Shockingly, it was dying.
"What’s happening here?" she muttered, shocked. The once-thriving myth was withering, branches drooping, and its eerie glow fading as if drained of life.
Then, she felt it. A sharp, rising sense of danger.
"No… is this what that saintly bitch warned about?" Her voice quivered with urgency.
"Damn it."
Without hesitation, she turned and sped towards Nightcreek Town. Yet, as she approached, the sight stole her breath as a wave of devastation stretched before her.
Buildings lay in ruins, and monstrous creatures roamed the streets, led by a massive Abyssal Wormring that burrowed through the ground, causing tremors to ripple underfoot.
It was a formidable beast, but Morgana felt confident. "You think you’re something special to come here and destroy my lands," she muttered with a smirk, summoning her crimson flames.
With a flash of holy fire, she dispatched her attack in moments, reducing it to nothing but smoldering embers.
But amidst the destruction, something unusual caught her eye. A young boy, whose body was wrapped in an ominous death energy.
Morgana’s expression shifted from fierce to intrigued, her gaze fixed on the strange aura.
"This boy…" She stepped closer, eyes narrowed as she studied him.
"I’ve never seen anything like this." The energy surrounding him was not typical death energy. Most death energy corrodes the person and leads to death.
But this was mixed with abyssal mana, an energy that usually twisted the soul into a specter or monster. Yet, instead of corrupting him, the energy hovered within his meridians as if bound to him, the abyssal mana itself drawn toward him in steady, pulsing waves.
"He should be dead or worse, corrupted," she whispered, astonished. "But somehow, it’s like the energy was adapting to him."
With a sense of caution and determination, Morgana raised her hand, igniting her crimson flame, which glowed with a holy light blessed by the goddess Nora. She couldn’t risk letting this unusual energy consume him.
She had found such an unusual guy; it would be bad if he died.
"Hold on, kid," she muttered, focusing the flame toward him. "If you can hear me… this might burn a little, but it’ll save you."
As her holy fire touched him, the flames danced around his form, casting away the dark energy that clung to him. The boy’s body shuddered as the purifying fire began its work, and Morgana watched intently, a mix of awe and worry flickering in her gaze.
Watching the boy wrestle with pain, she whispered, "I don’t know who you are, but it looks like you are going to be interesting, so struggle to stay alive."
Only after saving him did she have a look and find him to be weak.
He was utterly weak and pathetic. She couldn’t pinpoint anything extraordinary in him, but this was what stifled her because the boy gave her a very unsettling feeling.
So, she had been waiting for the moment to ask him.
Yeah, but then there was this annoying, infuriating fly buzzing around.
"Stay away from him, you grandma."
She felt her blood boil seeing this boy named Saber.
Grandma... How dare he?
The only thing preventing her from butchering him was her sanity. Suppressing her desire, she kicked the boy out.
Next, she drew her attention to the boy, who seemed to know her identity with a glance. So, releasing her aura, she asked.
