"Still," I mused, tapping the edge of the diary, "undead aren't a big deal. Nine times out of ten, it's a specter or a dead spirit manipulating them. They can be handled. Unless…" I froze, the weight of the thought sinking in. "Unless there's a Dark Magus behind this."

That was a different beast entirely.

Dark Magus wasn't as easy to take down as it sounds. Especially the ones with rich experience who knew how to use their power well in the situation.

My thoughts drifted, spiraling deeper into the nature of this world.

The gods… In most isekai stories or reincarnation tales, transportation seemed random unless there was a summoning ceremony. But this wasn't random. I could feel it. Someone had pulled the strings, someone had dragged me here.

But I don't know why he dragged me.

I am a good player as I believe but am I the best?

"I don't give a damn about those starry-eyed transmigrators," I spat, my voice filled with venom. "They treat this like some divine blessing, a second chance. Pathetic. I had my life, my experiences, my moments. I enjoyed them. I earned them. And no god—no creator of the universe—had the right to rip me from it and throw me into this cursed world."

I slammed the diary shut, my heart pounding against my ribs. My breaths were ragged, my body trembling with suppressed rage. This world might look fine now, but I knew better. When everything starts to fall apart, when chaos seeps into every corner, there won't even be tears left to shed.

I had already formed bonds here, fragile but precious. I wasn't about to lose them. Not again.

"Eight Orthodox Gods…" I whispered, my voice dripping with disdain. "And the fallen ones who linger. I don't know which one of you dragged me here, but mark my words."

My lips curled into a grin—a wild, dangerous grin. I could feel the fire in my eyes, the madness threatening to spill over.

"I don't care if you can hear my thoughts if you're watching my every move, or if you've already started manipulating me like some pawn on a chessboard." I leaned back, my grin widening into something sinister.

"But if I break free… if I manage to claw my way out of this… You'll regret the day you ever touched me."

The pen in my hand snapped under the pressure, its pieces falling to the floor. My voice was a low growl now, filled with raw anger.

"You have no idea who you've provoked," I snarled, the coldness in my tone sending a chill through the empty room.

"I hold grudges well. And I will never forget."

Freya swung her sword again and again, the blade slicing through the air in smooth, precise arcs. Her body moved automatically, her muscles remembering the rhythm, but her mind was elsewhere, distracted and clouded.

"I have to stay on the same team with that jerk again," she muttered, her grip tightening on the hilt.

Her brows furrowed as irritation bubbled up inside her. "I'm sure that bastard's going to piss me off until I lose it."

As she continued her practice, memories of their past encounters flashed through her mind, each one fueling her frustration. Her movements grew sharper, and angrier until her eyes flared with an almost fiery determination.

In her mind, she started plotting her revenge. "Maybe I could blindfold him," she thought with a sly grin forming on her lips. "Then shove him into a bag... and then maybe shake him up a bit, let him stew in his own annoyance until he starts begging for mercy."

The mental image was so vivid that she let out a small chuckle, her mood lifting momentarily. But then she froze mid-swing, her sword hovering in the air. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Huh?" she blinked, confused by her own thoughts. "Why am I even thinking about this?"

Shaking her head, Freya decided she'd had enough for the day. She headed back to wash up, hoping a hot shower would clear her mind.

After rinsing off the sweat and slipping into clean clothes, she stepped out feeling refreshed. Her eyes immediately caught the flashing light on her message screen, and she frowned.

"Who is it?" she muttered, walking over to check.

When she picked up the device, her gaze landed on the sender's ID, and she froze. Her eyes widened, her hand gripping the screen tightly as her whole body stiffened.

Notification popped up one after another.

A shiver ran down her spine, and her jaw tightened.

"That... That bastard!" she hissed through clenched teeth, her frustration now hitting its peak.
