Aunt Jin smiled at Su Qing’s words. "Of course I don’t regret it. I know the furniture in this courtyard is all good quality and might be worth a fair bit someday. But since I’m making requests of you, I can’t very well ask for nothing in return. Please consider the furniture a token of my goodwill."

"Alright." Su Qing smiled. "I agree to your price."

"Really?" Aunt Jin asked.

Su Qing nodded.

Aunt Jin immediately smiled. "Alright, let’s draft an agreement, then we can head to the real estate management office to transfer the ownership."

"Alright."

Su Qing could tell that Aunt Jin must have received an excellent education. Her study had bookshelves lining an entire wall, filled with all sorts of books and classic texts. A brush, ink, paper, and an inkstone were arranged on her desk, and it was clear they were used often.

Aunt Jin took out two sheets of letter paper and drafted two copies of the agreement. She handed them to Su Qing and the others. "Take a look. Does this seem alright?"

Su Qing and her companions reviewed the agreement. They all nodded, seeing no issues. Both parties signed their names. The agreement was made in duplicate, with each party keeping one copy. Then, they went to the real estate management office to process the ownership transfer.

Seeing Su Qing come in twice in one day to transfer ownership of a property, the staff at the real estate management office couldn’t help but take a few extra glances at her.

After Su Qing and her group left, a young woman in her early twenties whispered to the woman next to her, "How is that girl so rich? She came in to transfer two properties in one day, and both were courtyard houses. That’s several thousand yuan!"

"Mhm." Zhang Xiaozhen replied with a smile, returned to her desk to pack her things, and as soon as it was time to leave, she rushed home.

"Xiaozhen, how are you home so early?" Mrs. Zhang was surprised to see Zhang Xiaozhen back so soon. Her daughter usually didn’t come home until it was time to eat.

"Mom, where’s Second Brother?" Zhang Xiaozhen asked urgently.

"He’s not home yet. Why are you in such a rush to find your second brother today?" Mrs. Zhang said, handing a bunch of green vegetables to Zhang Xiaozhen. "Perfect. Since you’re home early, you can help me prepare these. Your dad and your brother will be back soon."

"Is Eldest Brother not coming back?" Zhang Xiaozhen asked.

"Your eldest brother went to his girlfriend’s place today," Mrs. Zhang replied, keeping busy with her chores.

"Oh." Zhang Xiaozhen nodded and absentmindedly prepared the vegetables. Just as she handed them to Mrs. Zhang, she heard the front door open. Recognizing the footsteps as her second brother’s, she immediately ran out of the kitchen. "Second Brother!"

"Xiaozhen." Her second brother, Zhang Dahai, was surprised to see her. "How are you home so early today?"

"Oh, that’s not important." Zhang Xiaozhen quickly pulled Zhang Dahai over to the nearby table to sit down. "Brother, I have something to tell you."

"What is it? You’re in such a rush." Zhang Dahai smiled. "You didn’t get into trouble, did you?"

As the only girl in the family, Zhang Xiaozhen was doted on by her parents and two older brothers.

"Of course not," Zhang Xiaozhen said quickly. "Brother, you don’t have a girlfriend yet, do you?"

"No, why?" Zhang Dahai gave her a curious look. "What, are you in a rush for me to find you a sister-in-law?"

"As a matter of fact, I do have someone in mind," Zhang Xiaozhen said, her eyes lighting up.

"Xiaozhen, who do you have in mind?" Mrs. Zhang came out of the kitchen to see the siblings sitting at the table in the living room, talking about a potential girlfriend, and couldn’t help but ask.

"Mom, I saw a really nice girl. I was thinking my brother could try to win her over and she could become my second sister-in-law," Zhang Xiaozhen said to Mrs. Zhang with a smile.

Zhang Dahai, however, mulled it over for a moment before saying, "Let’s hold off on that for now. I’ll wait another two years until I’m eligible for housing allocation, then I’ll think about finding a girlfriend."

Zhang Dahai had been working for longer than his older brother, Zhang Shenghai. A few years prior, Zhang Shenghai had been sent to the countryside as an "educated youth" and had only returned the year before last. He had just managed to get a job as a factory worker last year.
