Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Sam knew just how formidable that miniature Giant was. It was no mere bloated showpiece. Yet a slender figure, barely reaching its thigh, was hoisting it and slamming it about like a rag doll, leaving it more helpless than a woman.

"Uka! Uka!"

The Giant, wielded like a weapon by Levi, screamed in terror.

But no matter how it struggled, it couldn’t break free. This brought back the terror of its childhood, when, not long after it was born, an adult Giant had grabbed it by the ankle and thrashed it about.

It had been just as helpless then as it was now. Its pea-sized brain simply couldn’t comprehend why such a tiny runt possessed so much strength.

Levi continued his rampage, smashing and slamming the Giant into the ground. Soon, the area around him was covered in meat patties.

No one could withstand the impact of several thousand pounds.

The remaining Wilderness Bandits, their faces masks of terror, scrambled to escape the inhumane slaughterhouse, terrified of becoming the next indescribable object on the ground.

This sudden eruption of violence stunned the Wilderness People. The area around Levi became a death zone, and no bandit dared to set foot inside it.

The Feder Warriors on the wall watched with numb expressions.

Their Lord had already given them too many shocks today. Even if he were to tear a Giant apart with his bare hands in the next moment, they wouldn’t feel any more ripples of surprise.

"Sister, is my brother-in-law a hero blessed by the War God of myth?" Mier asked, his voice hollow.

"No, little brother. He *is* the War God of myth!" Baisitina’s voice was even more hollow.

As Levi’s feats grew more and more outrageous, Baisitina was beginning to believe what the Lord had told her before.

Otherwise, there was no way to explain how a mere human could possess the Power of a Giant.

Even with his monstrous physique, Levi couldn’t help but pant slightly after swinging an object that weighed several thousand pounds.

No matter how tough-skinned the Giant in his hands was, it had died long ago after being subjected to such brutal treatment.

He looked around. Corpses littered the ground at his feet, while dense swarms of bandits detoured around him, continuing their relentless charge toward the Barbarians.

By this point in the battle, the Barbarians had abandoned their Steel Shields, charging into the bandit hordes to hack and slash wildly.

The forty-odd Barbarians were like a drop of ink in a river, practically invisible inside the meat grinder of the battlefield.

Fortunately, the Barbarians had taken Levi’s teachings to heart. Even in this dire situation, they did not fight alone. Instead, they formed squads of five, scattered across the battlefield and watching each other’s backs.

These small squads were like reefs in the ocean; no matter how the wind and waves battered them, they stood firm and unyielding.

This caused the bandits to suffer immensely. They couldn’t even penetrate the armor of the Beastmen with their crude iron weapons.

But if a bandit took a single Axe blow from one of these Barbarians, the result was instant decapitation.

To make matters worse, these lumps of iron stuck together, watching out for one another and leaving no opening for a sneak attack.

They tried to pick on the human Warriors, who looked like easier prey, but they were turned into pincushions by the forest of spears before they could even get close. A mountain of corpses quickly piled up on the ground.

As for the Giants in whom they had placed such high hopes—never mind the one being used as a toy by that Iron Canister...

...a burly Beastman in an imposing Horned Helmet and Iron Armor had already used his agile footwork to effortlessly decapitate three other Giants.

From the very beginning, the battle hadn’t been the steamroll they expected. Instead, it had devolved into a grueling war of attrition.

"Boss!"

A panting Zat arrived at Levi’s side. Facing such a massive number of Wilderness Bandits, only he had the strength to fight his way through to Levi, so he had carved a bloody path without hesitation to come and help.

The Giants were few in number, but they were as effective as siege engines. It was nearly impossible for the Barbarians to defeat one in a one-on-one fight without getting injured. Only a Heroic Unit like Zat, who had followed Levi for over two years, could handle them.

Though the bandits were numerous, only powerful Races like the Lizardmen and Giants could give the Barbarians any real trouble. The Goblins, Kobolds, and even the human bandits were just cannon fodder, serving only to give the Barbarians experience points.

Thanks to the squad-based Combat Technique Levi had devised, the Beastman Barbarians’ coordination was flawless. Combined with their full-body Stitched Armor, they were managing to hold their own.

The hundred or so Federation Infantry, however, had been locked in a bitter struggle from the start.

Everyone knows to pick the weakest target. The heavily armed and armored Barbarians were clearly a tough nut to crack, so most of the bandits chose to focus their assault on the weaker Federation Infantry, putting them under immense pressure.

The bandits couldn’t break through the spear formation at first, but as corpses piled up and stamina drained, the Federation Infantry began to take casualties.

But Levi didn’t move to help them. ’A war inevitably has its losses,’ he thought. ’But as long as we win, those losses are worth it.’

His goal was never to slaughter these insignificant minions. The real keys to victory were the few Giants acting as siege engines and the Lizardmen who formed the enemy’s main force.

In other words, if he could just eliminate the bandits’ backbone, the rest would rout on their own.

"All of you bastards, aim for those damn lizards!"

Levi roared the order, not caring whether the Feder Shooters on the wall could even hear him over the din of battle.

"Zat, you take out the two Giants on the right! I’ll handle the five on the left!"

After barking out the order, Levi snatched a Javelin from the ground and threw it without even looking.

WHOOSH!

The javelin shot out and instantly blew apart the head of a Giant that was about to punch the wall.

Blood splattered all over the Feder Warriors on the wall. Though still shaken, their expressions became electrified, and a fanatical adoration for Levi began to sprout in their eyes.

The Giants’ objective wasn’t to join the slaughter in the crowd, but to charge the wall and smash a breach for the Alliance Army to pour through.

Levi, of course, wouldn’t let them have their way. He raised his Giant Sword and charged the remaining four Giants.

The Wilderness Bandits scattered in terror, desperately avoiding this god of slaughter. Those who were too slow to escape were cut down with a casual swing of Levi’s sword.

Having learned his lesson, Levi no longer clashed head-on with these big oafs. He used his agility to dodge an attack, then swung his sword fiercely, severing both of the Giant’s legs in a single blow. The creature let out a few agonized howls on the ground before falling silent.

He lifted his Giant Sword, lopped off the Giant’s head, and then dispatched the remaining Giants with similar ease.

These big oafs had immense Power, but they were ignorant of any Swordsmanship Martial Arts. To Levi, they were no different than lambs to the slaughter.

As for Zat, though he wasn’t having as easy a time as Levi, dispatching the two Giants was only a matter of time.
