Fulina had intended to go down and offer her support before leaving, but as things stood, the Lord could clearly hold on until his own reinforcements arrived.

Now, his Power and agility had both reached 60. Moreover, as a Firefly-rank Holy Knight, his strength was doubled.

Before, he had been a country bumpkin who feared large siege weapons like the Bed Crossbow. Now, he was confident he could perform the feat of catching a crossbow arrow with his bare hands!

To him, these Minotaurs weren’t even straw. At least cutting straw was tiring. Mowing down these Minotaurs, however, felt like nothing, as if he were crushing ants that could be squashed at will.

One swing, two swings, three swings. The Lord of High Cliff Castle was like a most diligent lumberjack, toiling away for a better future.

Absolute power brought absolute destruction. The Minotaurs discovered to their bewilderment that no matter how many of them swarmed forward, the result was always the same: falling before this shorty.

When it came to metalworking, the Feder Blacksmiths wouldn’t dare claim to be on par with a race with a natural affinity like the Dwarves, but they were certainly not much inferior to the master blacksmiths of Debei. Furthermore, this blade had been alloyed with a bit of the Magic Metal known as mountain copper.

The Giant Sword in the Lord’s hands should have been indestructible. But now, under the immense force of his blows and his brutal, careless use, nicks were appearing on the blade, and cracks had begun to form along its length.

WHAM! WHAM!

With a final swing using the flat of his blade, two Minotaurs were struck by the immense force and exploded like watermelons. The remaining momentum sent another four flying, leaving their bodies limp, as if they’d all collectively contracted a bone-softening disease.

Staring at the Giant Sword that had shattered into Hero Fragments in his hand, Levi wore an exasperated expression. This old friend, which had followed him through countless battles, had finally met its end.

In truth, this was the first time he had unleashed his own sudden surge of power, and for a moment, he had failed to control it properly.

Otherwise, with his advanced Sword Skill, he wouldn’t have let it shatter.

From his position in the main army, Fujero watched it all unfold, his hands and feet turning to ice. He had previously discussed the Lord of High Cliff Castle with his subordinates, and they had unanimously agreed that the Baron was a glory-hound who loved to boast.

He might have some strength and ability, they’d conceded, but he was surely not as miraculous as the legends claimed.

But now...

"Is that a Giant from ancient times?" Fujero’s tone was hollow.

"No, sir. That is a Demon from Hell." The adjutant’s tone was even more hollow.

The arrival of the High Cliff Castle reinforcements instantly relieved the pressure. Where once there was a dense sea of Minotaurs, only a few dozen now remained scattered about. The rest had almost all turned to face the more numerous High Cliff Castle Guard Team.

After all, the Berserk Minotaurs lacked any reason. They only knew that the force that had appeared behind them was larger and stronger, so naturally, they turned to deal with them.

Unfortunately for the Minotaurs, fifty Beastman Guards had once been enough to rout a force of two hundred. Now, although there were about three hundred Minotaurs remaining, High Cliff Castle had over a hundred Beastman Guards, plus one hundred fifty Federation Archers picking them off one by one.

These Archers were equipped with two types of arrows. One, a light arrowhead that sacrificed some stopping power in exchange for greater range.

The other was a specially made heavy arrowhead that, when fired from a Purple Robe Longbow, could penetrate two layers of Iron Armor at seventy paces.

The Minotaurs were falling in droves, and the High Cliff Castle forces, like a colony of ants, slowly but surely devoured everything before them.

After felling the last Minotaur with his axe, Zat plopped onto the ground. Although his arms still trembled uncontrollably as if he were having a fit, a wide grin spread across his face beneath his Horned Helmet.
