"What the hell is this thing?"

Muto’s face was a mask of disbelief.

He was a strapping warrior, standing over two-point-three blade-lengths tall and weighing over five hundred pounds. His body was a mass of muscle as hard as steel. He could kill an Ice Tiger with just a few punches and kicks, his Power beyond question.

Yet when his Javelin struck the Giant Beast, it was like hitting indestructible Iron Armor, letting out a grating CLANG CLANG accompanied by sparks.

In the end, it only managed to scrape off a few Scales before flying off into the distance.

Muto knew his Javelins could pierce even Iron Armor. He never expected his first setback to be against mere Scales.

"Let me do it!"

Zat refused to accept it. Gripping a Javelin, he took a brief moment to aim. His muscles bulged, and with a furious roar, he hurled the weapon.

WHOOSH!

His Throwing couldn’t compare to Levi’s, but it was several times more powerful than Muto’s. The seemingly indestructible Scales were instantly pierced, and the Javelin plunged deep into the Wendigo Beast’s shoulder, sending a spray of blood into the air.

Protected by its thick Scales, the Giant Beast must have rarely been injured and was thus exceptionally sensitive to pain. A single Javelin was enough to make it howl in agony, writhe on the ground, and lose all ability to move.

However, there were still nine more Giant Beasts charging on the field. Their companion’s pained howls only served to incite their fury, causing them to speed up.

Even the proud and arrogant Beastman Barbarians wore grave expressions, tightening their grips on their War Axes.

Levi couldn’t let the Barbarians clash head-on with these Giant Beasts. The creatures’ Tail Blades were sharp enough to fell giant trees; a direct confrontation would undoubtedly lead to losses.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!

As he ran, Javelins materialized in his hand. He threw them with lightning speed, felling four Wendigo Beasts in an instant. Each Javelin buried itself to the hilt in a creature’s skull, a direct and fatal blow.

After all, his Strong Throw Skill was at level ten. Combined with his seemingly limitless Power, each throw was comparable to a bolt fired from a Dragon-Hunting Bed Crossbow.

A shot that even Dragon Scale couldn’t block—what chance did the scales of ordinary creatures have?

The four Giant Beasts crashed to the ground, but their momentum carried them forward. Their massive corpses tumbled into the ranks of the bandits, throwing them into chaos and sending them crying for their mothers.

The delay was all it took for the two sides to finally clash in close combat.

Zat took the initiative and charged a Wendigo Beast. Facing a Giant Beast that was nearly as tall as he was, he showed no panic.

As the Giant Beast lowered its head to charge, Zat executed a kneeling slide. He raised his Double-Bladed Giant Axe overhead, and with a sound like tearing hide...

A mess of red and white—guts and excrement—spilled from the Giant Beast’s belly, showering Zat from head to toe and drenching him in a foul stench.

The Wendigo Beast was covered in hard Scales, but its underbelly was exceptionally soft and easily sliced open.

"Die!"

Levi also faced two Giant Beasts charging him at once. With a roar, he gripped his Giant Sword—a weapon over two blade-lengths long—with both hands and swung it in an upward arc from below.

SWISH!

The first Giant Beast’s head was split in two from the jaw up. Its eyes went dull as it crashed to the ground.

Levi forcefully twisted the upward-moving Giant Sword in mid-air, redirecting its momentum into a diagonal slash at the Wendigo Beast charging from his right.

RIP!

Empowered by his monstrous Power, it was like slicing through tofu. The entire Wendigo Beast was cleaved diagonally in two, its head and tail separating.

Two Giant Beasts that could have stymied a hundred soldiers were dispatched by him as easily as killing a puppy.

Wendigo Beasts were ill-tempered, but even the most bloodthirsty creature would lose its courage when faced with Levi, who, drenched in blood, had effortlessly slaughtered their kin. Fear began to take over.

The two remaining Wendigo Beasts were terrified. Their small eyes betrayed their fear, and they began to whimper like puppies, running towards the sides of the hill in an attempt to flee the battlefield.

No matter how furiously their Giant keepers berated them, they could not be called back.

With the Giant Beasts out of the way, Levi was unstoppable as he charged into the mob of bandits. Gripping his Giant Sword—two blade-lengths long and weighing over a hundred pounds—he spun in a full circle.

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

Whether they were Goblins or Kobolds, whether they tried to block with Shields or weapons...

Without the slightest pause, he cleaved them all in two at the chest. Their heads, still wearing looks of terror, slid from their torsos, the cross-sections unnervingly smooth.

SQUIRT!

A dozen or so headless bodies remained standing, blood jetting from their necks to create a grotesque yet spectacular man-made fountain.

Just like mowing grass, he had cleared a space with a diameter of over four blade-lengths.

The scene was as bloody as a slaughterhouse. The ground was littered with severed limbs; not a single body remained intact.

However, this move was only effective at the beginning. The remaining Goblins and Kobolds were so terrified they were reduced to tears, cowering on the ground with their heads in their hands, too scared to get up.

This greatly reduced his "mowing" efficiency.

"Useless trash, move!"

Just then, the Giants from the rear finally charged forward. One of them furiously swung its club, sweeping aside all the Goblins blocking its path.

Although this Iron Canister was incredibly fierce, the Giant didn’t think it was any less formidable.

It stood three blade-lengths tall, weighed a thousand pounds, and could kill a great bull of the Wilderness with a single punch.

This Iron Canister only came up to its navel. The difference between them was like that between a puppy and a lion—completely incomparable.

’One swing of my club and I’ll smash this Iron Canister flat.’

The Giant thought this, and it acted on it, raising its massive ironwood club to bring it crashing down.

Suddenly, there was a flash of silver light. The world in its eyes split in two, and the raised club would never fall.

Levi didn’t even glance at the Giant he had just cleaved in two from crotch to scalp as he continued his charge across the battlefield. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

The entire battlefield was split in two by the V-shaped charge led by Levi.

If the bandits were a block of cheese, then the Beastman Barbarians, led by Levi, were a red-hot blade that instantly melted through them.

When the Barbarians smashed into the enemy formation, only the few Giants managed to slow their charge, and only slightly.

But the Barbarians had a knack for dealing with these Giants, who had nothing but brute strength.

All they had to do was create some distance. Facing such massive, living targets, they didn’t even need to aim; they could casually throw their Javelins and turn the Giants into pincushions.

The wedge formation pushed forward without pause, not stopping to execute the bandits who were kneeling and begging for mercy, as that would have been a waste of time.

During their daily training, Levi also taught the Barbarians principles of war, not just fighting techniques.

"A war’s success is not measured by how many enemies you kill," he had told them. "Achieving your strategic objective is far more important than annihilating the enemy army!"

"And if you take no prisoners, you will often provoke the enemy to fight to the death."

Because his image among the Barbarians was already like that of one of the Gods, they memorized his words as if they were divine edicts.

And in this moment, they put those words into perfect practice.

The Barbarians in Iron Armor at the front had already abandoned all defense, focusing solely on cutting down any enemy in their way to punch through the Wilderness Bandits’ lines as quickly as possible.
