More than thirty of the incapacitated parasitic creatures lay scattered on the ground, their spilled blood dyeing the floor a dark crimson. Ailuodi had to be extremely careful with each step she took, because slipping in the blood could mean not being able to dodge the next attack from the enemies.

She had not fought this long without sustaining any injuries.

But for the moment, none of the wounds were fatal.

Ailuodi, an experienced fighter, chose not to dodge the scrapes and lacerations that wouldn’t affect her movement, instead using those precious moments to eliminate her adversaries. Her clothes were stained red with blood, and her stockings had several rips, looking quite ghastly, yet her pace of killing remained at its peak.

An angel is not inherently suited for battle.

“About a quarter.” Ailuodi’s response came somewhat breathlessly, a sign of her tiredness even on a conscious level.

Having spent the majority of it in less than ten minutes while at least fifty or so enemies remained, even if they were weakened versions of the parasitic creatures, this was certainly not a good sign.

“Don’t let your guard down, I’ll find a way to get there.”

“There may be enemies along the way, and you could die if you run into them!”

“It’s just a clone, and besides, don’t underestimate my abilities,” he retorted.

After ending the conversation, Chaoyang already had a rough idea in mind. The castle design included skirted floors and several high towers, with the main tower located at the very north and the heart of the entire structure. However, there was an open atrium in between, and if he could fly, he could bypass the hotel area and directly reach the main entrance of the tower.

The only problem was that if parasitic creatures were guarding the atrium, landing would be very difficult. Of course, he could shift the risk to Ailuodi by having her come out to find him, but that was clearly not the best option.

Suddenly, Chaoyang heard several gunshots from the direction of the hotel entrance, coupled with curse words that sounded very familiar.

This was a specific point he had emphasized when commissioning the design from the Defense Control Center—every type of weapon had to be made in two versions, ensuring they met the usage requirements in Paradise World and could exert their ideal power in the Earth realm.

Everyone’s attention was immediately captured by the roaring engine noise.

Chaoyang picked up the car’s microphone and shouted, “Get out of the car and flee,” while he aimed the crosshairs at the legless potted plant.

The moment he pressed the fire button, forty-millimeter high-explosive grenades swarmed toward the enemy, creating a fiery burst of sparks around it! Even those parasite breeds transformed from Heretical Cult members in the Magnificent Castle couldn’t withstand the continuous barrage of grenades, let alone these inferior, weakened versions. In less than a few seconds, its corporeal part had been blasted to pieces, leaving only a few limp black strips on the ground.

Seeing that the three people had left the vehicle by some distance, Chaoyang then aimed the grenade launcher at the car crushing the monster and blew both to smithereens.

“Th-thank you for helping…” Xi Er approached, still shaken, and asked, “What are these monsters? Humans shouldn’t be able to transform into this, right?”

“I’m not sure either. They appeared suddenly in the estate.” Chaoyang jumped out of the vehicle and headed for the trunk. “By the way, you’re here to find the Angels, right? They are all trapped inside the main tower by the monsters, and someone needs to help them out.”

“Hold on, how do you know we were looking for the Angels?” Frey asked in surprise.

“Aren’t all the people who came to this gathering Angels? I thought you were friends of an Angel.”

“Well… we indeed are,” Blan quickly covered up, “The main tower is the tallest one in the castle, right?”

“Correct, just head north after entering the gate, and you’ll reach it. However, you might encounter more monsters on the way. I think you might need this.” Chaoyang opened the trunk, filled with an arsenal of weapons ranging from rifles and hand grenades to RPGs and flamethrowers.

The three stared in shock, their jaws nearly hitting the floor.

It was important to note that this wasn’t some remote African tribe or war-torn area, but the second-largest city in Canada! Storing so much heavy firepower in a single vehicle was simply outrageous!

Xi Er’s gaze towards Chaoyang changed. “Big brother, are you in the arms fair business?”

“Of course, we are professionals!” Blan couldn’t wait and started picking through the trunk.

“These monsters are particularly frightened of explosives and flames; conventional bullets have a poor stopping effect. Also, their attack range is about ten meters, so keeping your distance while shooting should be fairly safe,” Chaoyang advised one last time, “Also, could you please sign this?”

“What is this?” Xi Er took the paper form handed to her.
