"These plans should be postponed for a few more days. I plan to train my team before then. Having more evolvers among us would be to our advantage."

Leon said slowly, his gaze fixed on the table as of he could see beyond the wood.

"Now that I think about it, turning more people into evolvers seem like a good idea."

Reymond’s eyes lit up, and he looked at the students who were huddled in the distance.

However, seeing how dark and gloomy they were, he shook his head and sighed.

"Those guys definitely don’t look like people who’d join willingly."

Selene’s gaze turned colder. "And we’re not forcing anyone. If they did a dog’s death, it is because of their own weakness."

Samson and Gwen looked at each other, smiling bitterly.

Selene was too cold and detached, and it was obvious that she harbored great disgust for all men. Only Reymond seemed to be tolerable to her.

"In that case, I’ll be taking my leave."

Leon stood up and left before anyone could say anything, leaving Samson speechless.

’Wow. Isn’t this guy even more detached than Selene?’

He couldn’t help but cast a glance at the girl to confirm her cold expression, but he was once again stunned by her beauty.

He immediately looked away before she noticed, chanting a sutra in his mind to remain pure.

Meanwhile, Leon returned to the small room and laid on the folded carpets.

"You’re tired, aren’t you?" Thyra asked as she leaned against the wall.

Her hair had fallen at the right side, covering her right eye completely.

Only one purple eye was still visible, shining beautifully.

Leon locked eyes with her for a few seconds, then exhaled.

"Sometimes I just wish it was all a bad dream."

Thyra’s expression flickered, sensing the vulnerability in his voice and expression.

"Perhaps one day, when you’re strong enough, you can rewrite the world back to normal."

Leon chuckled. "Is that even possible?"

The woman shrugged, not sure herself. "Well, with the presence of mana and the Star Stream, I don’t think anything is impossible."

"Oh, that somehow motivates me."

He chuckled, then checked his interface again.

Closing the tab, he put his hand into his bag and brought out two items. The Soul Crystal and the Poison Cloud ability scroll he had gotten from the Tier One Evolved spider.

"Hey, Thyra. You really don’t want to tell me what this is used for?"

He had asked her a few times already, but the woman refused to budge.

"Well, surely I can tell you." She replied smoothly, though it didn’t bring him ease.

"Um... really?"

She nodded like an obedient child. "It’s just that... I want something from you..."

Sensing her gaze lower from his face to his pants, he shivered.

"Definitely not."

Even though she only claimed to be a half-succubus, he still feared the lores about those demons sucking the life out of men.

Trying to hide his fear and disgust, he asked. "How many men have you drained now? I guess they must be innumerable."

Thyra paused, then frowned. "What do you mean? I haven’t had sex with any man before."

Leon didn’t believe in the slightest. "Yeah. And I haven’t seen a human with two hands before."

Pouting, the gorgeous woman folded her arms and protested.

"Hey! I’m being serious."

Still, Leon was skeptical. "Why don’t I believe you? Right! You’re a succubus."

A trace of displeasure and anger flashed in Thyra’s expression.

"Why are you so biased? Being a succubus doesn’t mean I’m automatically a sex addict! You human freaks and your twisted perception!"

Leon finally sensed that she was serious, and he immediately sat up.

"Wait, seriously?"

Thyra only turned away with a snort, then vanished from his sight.

"Ugh. I shouldn’t have said that."

It was the same as calling her a whore. Something no lady would like.

"Ah, fuck it."

Falling back onto the carpets, he covered his eyes with the back of his hand.

’I should sleep early. I need to train those guys tomorrow.’

Closing his eyes, he slowly emptied his thoughts until he fell asleep.

As soon as he fell asleep, Thyra reappeared, looking at him with a gentle gaze.

"You pumpkin."

A teasing smile played at her lips.

"So you really think I’d get angry over that little thing? Awwwn, you’re really so cute~"

She giggled to herself, then gently pecked his forehead.

"Sorry, pumpkin. But big sister has something important to attend to for now~"

The next morning, Leon woke up feeling slightly off. He rubbed his forehead for a few seconds, dazed.

Then he shook his head.

Thyra still hadn’t appeared, which made him guilty and uneasy. However, if she didn’t want to reveal herself, he couldn’t force her.

’I’ll just go with the original plan.’

After taking his bath, he wore the combat gear again, then went outside to the basketball court where everyone was staying.

Some students were still sleeping, while others were wide awake, looking like they had barely had any sleep at all.

Leon wasn’t concerned about them. He soon spotted his five recruits at a corner, doing light exercises.

He was a bit surprised, as he himself had never done those.

"Hm."

At another side, he saw Selene and Gwen walk out of their own private room while Reymond and Samson were seated on the spectator seats, discussing.

’It’s not a bad dream. It’s the world now.’

Sighing, he walked towards the team of five who were training in the corner.
