The Devil Who Claimed Me

Dominic didn’t say a word on the way back.

The silence in the car was suffocating.

Mila sat rigid beside him, her hands clenched in her lap, her heart pounding with every passing second. She could feel the storm building inside him.

The moment the car stopped at the mansion, he stepped out. Before she could react, his hand wrapped around her wrist, and he pulled her along. His grip was firm, unyielding, leaving no room for resistance.

"Don’t drag me," she protested. "I can walk myself."

He wouldn’t listen. He wouldn’t answer. His back was rigid as he walked through the hall quickly.

The guards stiffened in their places. Servants lowered their heads.

No one dared to look. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The tension around him was palpable. Dominic dragged her straight to his room. The door slammed shut behind them.

The sound echoed.

Mila flinched.

And in the next instant, he was on her. His hand came up to her face, gripping her jaw as he crushed his lips against hers hard.

The kiss was demanding and unforgiving.

Mila gasped against him, her body stiffening in shock. She tried to push him away.

"D-Dominic... Leave me." Her voice trembled.

But he didn’t. His grip tightened.

"You think you can let another man touch you?" he growled against her lips.

Mila shook her head weakly, trying to pull away. "That’s not—"

"Where did he touch you?" His hand seized hers. "Here?" Then his fingers tightened around her shoulders. "Here? Or here."

He pinched her chin tightly.

Mila’s eyes trembled.

"Every inch of your body belongs to me. How did you let him touch you? How?"

Mila shuddered. Fear silenced her completely.

"First, you let him hold your hands," he continued. "The next, you will allow him to kiss. And what next? Will you let him fuck you?"

Mila stilled. Anger surged. "You are crazy."

"Yes, I am... You drove me mad." His eyes burned into hers.

"You don’t listen. You keep defying me."

With each word, his voice rose.

"Why do you look for another man when I’m right here?" he demanded. "I protect you. I keep you safe. Why are you still trying to escape?"

"I wasn’t..."

"Is that so?" he sneered. "You looked quite disappointed when you couldn’t go with him."

His hand slid down, gripping her arm, pulling her closer. "You thought he would help you get out of here."

"That’s not true. I turned him down instantly."

He shook his head. "Two times—you fooled me. But not anymore."

He tugged at her arm and pulled her into the bathroom.

Before Mila could think about what he was going to do, she was under the shower, cold water cascading down on her.

"Uh," she gasped. "It’s cold."

"I’ll wash away every trace of him."

The water soaked through her clothes instantly, clinging to her skin. Her lips turned pale as the cold seeped into her bones.

"Turn it off," she cried, shuddering.

Instead of listening to her pleading, he spun her around and reached for the zipper of her dress. In one swift motion, he pulled the zip open. The next second, the off-shoulder dress fell, pooling around her ankles.

Mila instinctively covered her body with her hands.

"Don’t." He turned her toward him, forcing her to look into his eyes. "You don’t have to hide yourself from me."

He held her hands and put them on his shoulders. His action just now was gentle, in contrast to the harshness he had just displayed.

"I’ve seen you," he said coldly. "There is nothing to hide."

He lowered his head and kissed her, this time harder.

Mila struggled, turning her face away. "Stop. I don’t want this."

"Do you have the right to say no to me?" He gripped her jaw. "Have you forgotten who you are?"

The words hit like a blow.

"You are my personal maid," he continued, his voice dropping lower, more dangerous. "You don’t get to refuse me. You don’t get to choose."

Mila’s resistance faltered. Her chest rose and fell rapidly as his words sank in.

"You are here to serve me." He kissed her again, this time more fiercely.

Mila’s eyes stilled. Something inside her broke.

The reality she had been trying to ignore crashed down on her all at once.

She couldn’t run. She couldn’t fight him. Her safety, her freedom, depended on him.

The resistance left her body. She let him kiss her.

The moment she stopped fighting, his movements changed.

The harshness in his kiss softened. It was still intense and consuming, but no longer punishing. His hand moved to the back of her head, holding her more carefully now.

Mila closed her eyes, not because she wanted this, but because she had accepted it. She had accepted what she had to do.

Dominic pulled her closer, his arm wrapping around her waist, holding her against him as if she belonged there. His fingers brushed along her face, down her neck slowly, almost carefully, a stark contrast to the fury from moments ago.

"You should remember your place. Don’t look at other men like that."

His words were sharp and possessive. But his touch didn’t match them. His hands moved with a strange gentleness, tracing her with reverence.

Mila’s breath trembled. Her emotions tangled. She was afraid and felt helpless. But his touch ignited sparks of fire within her. She didn’t want to feel it, but her body tingled as he moved his fingers to her breasts.

Dominic lowered his head again, his lips brushing against her. "I don’t share what’s mine," he whispered, gripping her waist a little tighter.

He pushed her against the glass wall.

She inhaled sharply.

His forehead pressed against hers, his breath uneven. He said nothing. But inside him, something twisted.

’Why does it bother me this much? Why does the thought of another man near her feel unbearable?’

His grip tightened unconsciously. "You make me lose control," he muttered.

"Mm..." Mila whimpered.

He pulled back slightly, his gaze searching her face. There was something in his eyes now. Something deeper than anger. But he sneered mockingly.

"You started moaning so soon? Before I even get started." He dragged his fingers further down, sending an unwanted shiver through her.

"You were definitely looking for another guy to help you. But now you are hungry for me?"

His words stung.

She felt humiliated. "You..."

"Angry, huh?" he let out a low chuckle. "Your words say one thing, but your reactions say another. You are not honest with your words, but your body is."

His gaze darkened, clearly noticing every small reaction she tried to hide. His fingers swiftly entered her and felt the wetness. His eyes sparkled with interest.

"Your body never lies."

Mila pressed her lips together, frustration and shame twisting inside her. How could she respond like this when his words were clearly meant to demean her?

"You keep pushing me away. Yet you secretly desire me. Mila, you are a terrible liar. I’ve told you before—don’t try to conceal what I can already see."

In a flash, he gripped her waist and lifted her off the ground.

Mila yelped, her legs wrapping around her waist. Her heart pounded wildly.

She looked at him and froze.

The way he was looking at her didn’t match his words.

Beneath the sharpness, something dangerously close to tenderness.

It unsettled her, confused her.

’What are you doing, Dominic?’ she wondered silently. ’Do you love me? Or is this just another way to control me?’
