Without hesitation, Zachary leaned slightly and gently lifted her into his arms.

The driver beside his car reacted instantly. Before Zachary uttered a word, the rear door was already open.

He carefully lowered Sienna onto the back seat before sliding in beside her.

"Hospital." He ordered.

"Yes, sir..."

The car pulled away immediately.

Zachary gently adjusted Sienna’s position, carefully placing her head onto his lap. One hand supported her shoulder while the other moved to brush several loose strands of hair away from her damp forehead.

He could see that her face looked too pale.

And he hated it.

He lightly touched her forehead again, and it felt hot. His jaw tightened when he saw her eyebrow knit as if he were in pain.

"Hang in there..." he murmured under his breath.

Zachary watched her for another moment, making sure she was breathing evenly, then reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.

He pressed a familiar contact.

The call was picked up after several rings.

A very irritated, very sleepy voice answered.

"...If this isn’t a life-or-death situation, I swear, I’m blocking your number."

Zachary didn’t bother greeting him.

"Get to the hospital."

Silence.

Then a confused, sleepy voice could be heard again, "What?"

"The hospital."

"Zachary, do you know what time it is?"

"Yes."

"It’s four in the morning, man!"

"Yes."

"People sleep at four in the morning."

"And yet you’re awake."

"Damn it, man! How could I not?! You call."

"Then stop talking and go. Now."

A long-suffering sigh exploded from the other side.

Scott Anderson sounded exactly like a man whose peaceful sleep had just been murdered. "Who is the patient?" he asked. "You?"

"No."

"Your father?"

"No."

"Your mother?"

"No."

Silence again.

"Then who?" Scott asked.

Zachary glanced down at the unconscious woman lying on his lap.

"Sienna." His voice lowered slightly.

Silence.

Then—

"...WHO...!?"

"I told you, Sienna."

Scott sounded even more awake now. "Wait. I mean, hold on... You mean Sienna... is a woman?"

Zachary’s eyes narrowed.

"Of course, a woman..."

"No, no, that’s not the shocking part." Scott’s voice suddenly carried dramatic excitement. "The shocking part is you calling me at four in the morning for a woman."

"Scott."

"Man, why do you care about a woman enough to use your private dictator voice before sunrise?"

"Scott."

"Oh, this is historic."

"Do you want me to buy your hospital and fire you from it?"

"I’m already the owner."

"You won’t when I bought your hospital."

Scott snorted.

"Relax. I’m instructing the staff as we speak. The emergency team will be waiting."

Zachary’s expression softened at the words he needed to hear. "Good."

Before Scott could continue his investigation into the mysterious existence of a female human capable of making him panic before dawn, Zachary ended the call.

The car sped through another empty intersection.

Several minutes later, the hospital entrance came into view.

Just as Scott promised, a medical team was already waiting.

The second the car stopped, the doors opened.

Doctors and nurses moved quickly toward them.

Zachary stepped out first before carefully lifting Sienna back into his arms.

"She fainted and has a high fever," Zachary explained shortly as he placed her gently on the stretcher.

"Don’t worry, Mr. Sterling, we will take care of her, and she’s in good hands..." The staff immediately wheeled the stretcher toward the emergency room.

Through it all, Sienna remained unconscious.

Zachary followed beside the stretcher in silence. His expression revealed little as usual, but the tension in his gaze betrayed him.

He watched as the medical team wheeled her into the VIP patient emergency room.

One doctor stopped him politely at the entrance.

"Apologies, Mr. Sterling. May I know the patient’s identity? Her name and age?"

"Her name is Sienna Adams. Age twenty-six."

"Thank you, sir," the doctor said. "Sir, you can wait for her in the waiting room. Don’t worry too much. We’ll take care of Miss Adams with everything we’ve got..."

"I expect no less. Thank you."

His eyes lingered on Sienna for one brief second longer before he finally stepped back.

The doors closed.

And suddenly, the hallway felt much too quiet.

Zachary exhaled slowly as he walked toward the seating area and stood by the tall glass wall.

Then he pulled out his phone from his trouser pocket.

This time, he called Logan. The line connected quickly.

Logan’s surprised voice echoed through the speaker, "Hello, master..."

"Come to Anderson Hospital."

Logan sounded alert immediately. "Right away, sir."

"You picked Sienna up from the police station, right?"

"Yes."

"I want details."

A short pause followed.

"...Understood. I’m on my way. I will arrive in thirty minutes."

After the call ended.

Zachary slipped the phone back into his pocket and remained standing by the glass wall.

Minutes later, hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway.

He turned and saw Scott rush in. His hair looked slightly messy, his shirt was thrown on in suspicious haste, and he carried the unmistakable expression of a man violently separated from his bed.

Scott stopped when he noticed him. "Zach...Where is she?" he asked.

"Inside."

"Man, let me check with my staff about her condition first, and I’ll get back to you."

"Sure. Thanks."

Scott nodded and entered the emergency room without wasting another second.

Several moments later, he was already speaking with the doctor handling Sienna’s case.

Zachary remained outside, arms crossed, expression unreadable.

Inside the room, Scott listened to the doctor’s brief explanation.

"The patient’s name is Sienna Adams. She has a high fever, severe exhaustion, dehydration, and lack of sleep."

Scott nodded absentmindedly.

"Alright."

He turned casually toward the patient and froze completely.

Scott stared at the unconscious woman lying on the hospital bed.

Shock slowly spread across his face.

"...No. Fucking. Way." He muttered in surprise when he finally remembered her, the woman he chose for Zachary.

His eyes widened slightly. He abruptly looked toward the emergency room’s door.
