Sienna clenched her hands tightly together.

"He started standing too close to me," she continued. "I felt uncomfortable, so I tried to leave, but he blocked me. He stopped me forcefully..."

Her breathing became uneven again as the memories replayed vividly inside her mind.

"He grabbed my wrist first. Then he held me tightly and tried to... to kiss me." Her hand clenched tightly.

The officer finally looked up.

"And what did you do?" he asked in his boring tone.

"I pushed him away," Sienna answered immediately. "I told him to stop. I kept telling him to stop."

Her voice began trembling now.

"But he wouldn’t listen."

The room suddenly felt colder.

"He forced himself on me," she whispered painfully. "I tried everything. I pushed him. I struggled. I begged him to stop."

Her breathing hitched.

"But... But his grip was stronger."

The officer remained silent, allowing her to continue.

Sienna pressed her lips together hard before speaking again.

"There was a figure statue on the cabinet," she said quietly. "When he cornered me... I grabbed it and... hit him."

"You hit his head."

"Yes."

"You knew that could seriously injure him?"

Tears finally filled Sienna’s eyes.

"Sir, I wasn’t trying to kill him!" she cried. "I was scared! I didn’t have a choice..."

Her voice echoed painfully inside the small room.

The officer studied her silently.

Then he asked, "Can anyone confirm your statement?"

Sienna nodded immediately.

"Yes. The CCTV." Hope suddenly appeared on her face for the first time since arriving there. "There are two CCTV cameras inside the GM office. Everything should be recorded there."

The officer’s expression changed slightly.

And somehow, that tiny change instantly made fear crawl up Sienna’s spine.

"Miss Adams, regrettably, the CCTV footage can’t help you," he stated in a flat tone.

"What?" Sienna frowned in confusion. "What do you mean, sir?"

"The office cameras are not working."

Just hearing that left her utterly shocked.

For several seconds, she genuinely forgot how to breathe. ’Not functioning? How could? It’s impossible...’

"No... that’s impossible!" Her voice rose. "Someone must have deleted them. Please, sir, you need to check it again."

"Our team already checked. The CCTV system in that office stopped working earlier today." The officer answered calmly.

Sienna stared at him blankly. She could feel her blood draining completely from her face.

Because that footage was her only hope. The only proof that Benjamin attacked her first. The only thing that could save her from this nightmare.

But now, it is gone. Completely gone.

She now truly understood how terrifying her situation was. Because without proof... Nobody would believe her.

"Then what should I do, sir?" she asked nervously. Her trembling voice almost cracked in the middle of the sentence. "How can I convince you that I’m truly innocent?"

The officer leaned back slightly in his chair and released a long sigh that sounded tired rather than sympathetic. Under the cold white light above them, his expression looked unreadable.

"You don’t have any proof," he said honestly. "But Benjamin Foster is living proof that you harmed him."

The words slammed into her chest heavily.

"But I didn’t!" Sienna immediately argued, her voice rising in panic. "I wasn’t trying to hurt him like that! I was only defending myself!"

The officer rubbed his forehead slowly before closing the laptop in front of him.

"I could only suggest you admit your guilt and apologize sincerely to the victim," he said calmly. "Maybe he will forgive you."

Sienna froze. ’That was it? Nobody believed me?’

The officer began gathering his notebook and files as if the interrogation had finished and he already had a conclusion.

Panic instantly rushed through Sienna’s body.

"No... no, wait," she said quickly, sitting straighter in her chair. "Sir, I need my cell phone. I need to call a lawyer. I know my right."

The officer paused.

"I need a lawyer... it’s my right," she repeated desperately. "Please, return my phone."

For the first time since entering the room, the officer actually looked slightly surprised by her request. Perhaps he didn’t expect her to insist on legal help instead of breaking down completely.

After several seconds, he finally nodded. "Alright, I’ll see what I can do."

Without another word, he stood up and walked toward the door.

The moment he disappeared outside, the room became silent again.

Sienna lowered her head, inhaling shakily as she tried to calm her racing heart.

A few minutes later, the door opened once more.

Another officer entered the room, holding her phone in a transparent evidence bag.

Sienna immediately stood halfway from her chair in relief.

"My phone..."

The officer removed it from the bag before placing it on the table in front of her.

"You have the right to several phone calls," he said. "But I will remain here at all times during the call."

Sienna nodded quickly. Right now, she didn’t care if they listened. She just needed help.

Her fingers trembled badly as she grabbed the phone.

The moment she turned it on, notifications exploded nonstop across the screen. Many missed calls and messages flooded in at once.

But Sienna barely looked at them. Her hands moved quickly as she searched for Ava’s number, and she dialed as soon as she found it.

"Pick up... please pick up..." she whispered under her breath while the call rang.

However, Ava didn’t answer, and the call finally ended unanswered.

"Is he still abroad?" she muttered quietly.

Her fingers moved again, more hurried this time, and found Mia’s number.

The phone rang repeatedly. But no one picked up.

Sienna glanced at the time displayed on the screen, 11:17 PM.

"She’s already asleep?" she whispered hopelessly.

Her shoulders slowly drooped.

One by one, every person she desperately needed tonight was unreachable.

The exhaustion she had been suppressing finally crashed into her all at once. Now she was hungry, tired, terrified, and completely alone.

Sienna leaned back weakly in the chair, gripping the phone tightly in both hands. She didn’t have a family she could call. No parents waiting for her. No siblings rushing to help her.
