Aaron Carter released Sienna’s hand before finally turning his attention to Benjamin’s lawyer, seated across the table. The warmth in his expression disappeared almost instantly.

"You cannot pressure my client into signing anything without proper legal representation present," he said firmly. "From this moment onward, any discussion regarding Miss Adams must go through me."

Benjamin’s lawyer adjusted his glasses slowly.

"Mr. Powell, this is simply an agreement offered in good faith by my client."

Aaron gave a faint smile that did not reach his eyes.

"Good faith?" he repeated calmly. "Your client attempted to obtain signatures from a detained woman at two in the morning without her legal counsel present. I strongly advise you not to describe this situation as good faith."

The atmosphere inside the room immediately became tense.

Sienna quietly sat there between them, her fingers still gripping the edge of her chair tightly.

Honestly, she barely understood half of what they were saying.

The conversation quickly filled with legal terms and formal arguments, leaving her exhausted mind struggling to keep up. Words like unlawful pressure, procedural violation, temporary detention, and conditional withdrawal flew across the room. At the same time, both lawyers maintained a controlled yet sharp expression.

Even the police officers standing nearby suddenly looked awkward.

But despite her confusion, Sienna caught one important thing.

Aaron Powell was protecting her. And somehow, that alone made her feel like she could finally breathe again.

The heaviness crushing her chest since entering this police station slowly began to lessen.

After several long minutes of tense discussion, Benjamin’s lawyer finally looked irritated enough to close his briefcase sharply.

"Very well," he said stiffly before standing up. "We will continue this discussion another time."

Aaron simply nodded calmly. "You may contact my office."

Without another word, Benjamin’s lawyer turned and walked out of the interrogation room.

The moment the door closed behind him, silence filled the room again.

Sienna turned toward Aaron beside her. Her eyes still carried obvious worry.

"Mr. Powell, can I really leave now?"

Aaron smiled reassuringly at her, then nodded once.

"Yes. I will deal with the police and the victim," he answered calmly. "You’re free to go home tonight."

The words instantly filled Sienna’s chest with overwhelming relief. She could finally leave this horrible place.

Aaron then turned slightly toward the police officer, as if asking him to come closer. The officer quickly stepped forward, several items in his hand. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Miss Adams," the police officer said professionally, his tone sounding far less cold than before, "you are free to leave now."

As he spoke, he carefully placed her belongings back on the table: her phone and watch. Only those she carries to this place.

Even the sight of those simple things almost made Sienna emotional again.

After so many long hours, she truly believed her life had become trapped in this interrogation room forever. And now, suddenly, she was being told she could simply walk out.

Her fingers trembled slightly as she reached for her phone and watch. Everything still felt unreal. Even now, part of her remained afraid someone would suddenly stop her and say there had been a mistake.

Meanwhile, Aaron Powell calmly took his bag, ready to leave the interrogation room.

"Sir, wait...I need to ask you something."

Aaron looked at her. "Yes, Miss Adams?"

Sienna hesitated for a moment before finally asking the question that had been bothering her since he arrived. "Did Ava send you?"

As soon as she said the name, Aaron’s brow tightened just a bit.

Then he slowly shook his head. "No," he answered honestly. "I’ve never heard that name before."

Sienna blinked in surprise. ’Huh!? Not Ava? Then... Riley?’

Those were the only two people she trusted enough to believe they would contact a lawyer for her in the middle of the night. As for Mia... She almost immediately dismissed the possibility.

Mia loved her dearly, but asking a lawyer to rush to a police station in the middle of the night seemed far beyond Mia’s capabilities. She would probably cry before she even understood what was happening.

Almost sensing her confusion, Aaron offered her a warm, reassuring smile. "Miss Sienna," he said gently as he closed his briefcase, "you’ll get to know once you meet him outside."

Sienna blinked after hearing the important clue. ’Him?’ she repeated, confused. ’So my savior this time is a man?’

Now she has become even more curious.

Her exhausted brain immediately tried to think of possibilities, but honestly, she could barely think properly anymore.

’Who else even knew I was here? Did someone from Imperial help me?’

Before she could ask Aaron another question, he spoke again.

"...Miss Sienna," he added professionally, "regarding this matter, please don’t worry too much for now. Leave it to us. We will handle everything."

"I try, but I worry about my work. Tomorrow—" She can’t finish her sentence, too nervous to think she will return to Imperial after what happened.

"Well, we already arranged a one-week temporary leave," Aaron continued calmly. "For now, just wait at home. We will take care of it."

Sienna became stunned.

Everything was happening so fast around her that she almost couldn’t keep up anymore. Her mind was racing as she wondered who might have sent Aaron Powell. And just how powerful was that person to have sorted everything out so quickly?

"Thank you so much, Mr. Powell," she said sincerely.

Then she carefully pushed herself up from the chair. But the moment she fully stood, weakness instantly rushed through her legs again. Her knees nearly gave out beneath her.

"Miss Sienna, what happened? Are you all right?" Aaron quickly stepped over, eager to lend a hand.

Sienna, however, grabbed the edge of the table to steady herself, then shook her head with a gentle smile and hurriedly said, "I’m fine."

Aaron looked unconvinced, but did not push further.

"Take your time," he said gently.

Sienna inhaled slowly before finally forcing herself to stand properly again.

Together, they leave the interrogation room.
