Spirit Taming

While Clark could already feel the more concentrated shadow and now darkness energies that Shy was sharing with him due to her becoming an Arachne shadow puppeteer, he was surprised to see that Devi was so relaxed.

In their bond, he could sense that he had finally relaxed from all the stress. He was just the same as Clark . He cared for Crim and Shy. but he had been worried that Shy was having trouble adapting to all the shadow energy that she had rapidly gained at such a tongue age.

The reason he had not worried about Crim was the regenerative abilities that Crim had as a slime. Crim could easily heal himself from injuries as long as he had the energy and the core he had his main body within survived. But Shy was radically different. She was one of a kind just like him.

But without that worry, he was able to release a mental block that had coincidentally helped him hold back from the growth he had been waiting for. All the energies he had condensed within himself finally had the chance to benefit his very existence.

Sensing this, Clark stepped back as the materials absorbed and refined by Devi were finally used. As all the soul energy that Devi gained from hunting finally began to show the alterations to his body. As the death energy began to push Devi toward a new and unknown growth that even Clark had been hoping would happen.

The soul energies would have just brought Devi along the growth plan to become a spirit king or a spirit lord. This wa something that clark had read with the analysis skill a very long time ago. It was a powerful growth that a mythical beast would use to reign over many other beasts. The level of strength was not something that even Clark could fathom.

However, he had learned more as time went on. The two had gained their own understandings of deeper energies other than just the soul energy that linked them. That allowed them to be the most unique tamer and beast within anywhere because of their spirit bond.

Clark had a past light that he could recall, it was one reason that he felt that he had been able to gain the system he had. Regardless, he also believed that he had been destined to awaken devi because of having that stronger soul that had lived multiple lives. Devi had been trapped as an egg waiting to hatch for years and years. That had been to gather the energies he needed.

Through battles and trials, they had managed to grasp a deeper understanding beyond just souls. Greater than soul. Death.

This kind of energy was immense and could mean much more than what they could even start to comprehend. Yet, Devi had touched upon it and even managed to gather that energy. With the help of the system and the edens end taming space, that had accelerated.

Now. Even with that being the case, Devi did not have an immense amount of death energy. It was technically much smaller than what would be found through many more years of learning. However, this small amount of death energy was enough to allow Clark and Devi to wield it.

They could cause devastating injuries that yielded many effects. Clark had not used it, but sensed it within the flowing storms meditation technique. He believed that storms of all forms could cause death and had such an energy deeply rooted within them.

Devi was the same. He had used that energy within his claw attacks and chilling bite when the time was right. It was why he had better success hunting as of late. It also trained his body and mind to handle that energy better.

That was why he was allowing it to take the lead in his growth.

"Devil, show me how you will walk a new path. A new path that the system can’t even fully grasp right now." Clark whispered this to himself as the white mass of ghostly body began to darken.

The inner void like darkness that was always seen whenever devi opened his mouth had spilled out. It had dyde the white ghostly body in a black flowing smoke. one that screamed at anything living that they would perish sooner if they came in contact with it. Even Clark had a sense to avoid it until he could feel the flow of energies moving in.

His face became a smile as he understood how this energy had guided Devi to a new form. One that allowed him to enforce the will he wished upon those who had caused death countless times. How Devi would be able to use this new strength to rightfully bring those who had done great harm to innocents down to the hells they deserved to be in for the remainder of eternity.

The skinny shape of a tall standing figure seemed to be here and yet not. This ghostly aspect was highlighted by a white frame from within. The death energy acted as a cloak. Devi’s new hands had claws at the end made of dark condensed death energy, but the arms and hands were white as his body had been before.

Slight glowing blue eyes looked out from the darkness that still existed where his mouth, eyes, and head were. It was as if this was the condensation of soul energy calmly flitting around within Devi’s body. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

’Spirit Reaper- mythical

Having been able to walk the path of death and justice, the little spirit that once was has left the known lands in terms of energy. Now, the growth is unexpected due to the essence of death and its existence within this beast.

While relying on soul energy to balance the death energy that surrounds and strengthens it, this beast will need to consistently focus and train to maintain its form.

Having the ability to cause rapid aging due to the death energy around it, the black fog is very deadly. However, it must be controlled to have this effect. Along with this, the ability to avoid attacks by breaking up this fog is very much possible.

The invisibility skills remain the same along with the death’s laughter which is an upgrade of the previous sound related skill. It causes a chilling effect that brings many to think of their potential demise.

Forming weapons out of death energy is very possible with higher control of the black death fog that makes up part of the beast’s body. It depends on familiarity and the beast’s strengths.

Chilling bite is still very much possible along with an extension called chilling death claws that will tear away soul energy along with causing physical damage.

Other skills can be learned through development and increased understanding of the new and forefront death energy that the spirit reaper uses.

Encroaching on this law of existence, death, has allowed for the potential to grow in to a proper grim reaper, death lord, spirit of death...’

So much was written that it was hard to catch up. But the sense that Clark was getting was even more dramatic.

An influx of new energy was meeting the energies already within his body. The dragon energy clearly conflicted since the death energy was much stronger. However, the darkeness energy appeared to meet with the death energy and act as a small buffer. It was easy so see why some people related death and darkness together.

Eventually, the dragon energies that crim always shared began to work with the new influx of death energy. It caused Clark to grow a little paler than before. Yet, it also allowed him to grow stronger. As if the energy was telling him that it would show him the path where death was always close, but not after him. A weird feeling and sense for sure, but Clark accepted it all.

Devi was his partner. His other half. They were of one soul and mind. How could he reject him? What monster would he be if he did something like that?

"Devil, congratulations on taking a brand new path. It was quick and powerful. Get your rest so you can keep on growing beside me." Clark saw that the dark fog ignored him and did not harm him at all as his hand reached the head of Devi.

While it was impossible to see, Clark could feel a cool and calm soul like head. Something impossible to describe properly since it had no real feeling, just a sense of comfort and pride that came through his bond with Devi.

The entire butterfly paradise had fallen silent. Even the lord appeared for a brief moment as the energies condensed and released by devi had caused a tremor within the dungeon. They settled down instantly as devi relaxed and melted in to the taming space. This left Clark unable to move from his spot. He had too much energy to focus on within his body. He would be changing how he fought. How he used energy now. He had to adapt as well alongside Devi.
