Spirit Taming

The group was ready to stop whatever Brad was doing until they all noticed that the possessed helm was on his head. They had not seen his beast for some time and were sure that he had been waiting for it to fully absorb the black iron shield and the black iron sword. However, they were all unsure what was going on now.

"Clark?" Ralph wanted to make a move and stop Brad. he had the most resistance to metal and fire besides Reese. The sudden heat that seemed to be coming from Brad wasn’t because of fire though. It was like he had a bad reaction to something and was having a fever.

"Just wait. I want to stop him too but the possessed helm just condensed all the metal it consumed in to itself and should fully change now. Brad is just suffering the side effects of it." Clark rarely found himself struggling with these kinds of things. He had no way to make things better for Brad who was being put through a massive release of metal energy.

The fact that he had blood and iron mixed in his taming space also made it very clear that he would have to suffer some influence from that. It had already become clear when he was pushed to go berserk in the tournament. He would fight regardless of his injuries. This was just the same in a way since he was pushing through the pain to help his partner advance.

"I can cool him down!" Grace and Isa had the same thought and started to let the ice energy from their partners come around in the air. Grace let the first finch push the cold air around while Isa let her winter witch showed herself and start to cool the area around Brad down.

The slight red color of Brad’s face seemed to disappear a little but it was still clear that there were a significant amount of things happening under the surface. Brad’s body was clearly more muscular than the rest of the group. He had been training this way to be able to handle carrying his partner when it grew to its next form. But the muscles that were seemingly moving showed the strain of whatever energy was putting on him.

"This doesn’t appear to be a normal progression for a beast or a taming space. There is too much energy being forced in to Brad’s body." Ella was sure she had never read anything like this. But when Clark shook his head they all looked at him.

"He opened a taming space that would normally be used for less than good intentions. The result of doing it with a proper and positive intention is this. The energy has to go somewhere. Normally it would be dispersed by gathering metal and blood for the taming space and his beast. The blood iron, that’s part of the taming space’s name. It’s brutal." as Clark explained this, they all realized that Brad was being even harsher on himself than they had known.

"So that’s why he had to train so much harder and was already carrying around heavier and heavier things. I thought he just wanted to be faster while wearing armor." Jerold had an idea of what Brad had been doing but he found himself also misguided.

"That’s not all. He let his possessed helm absorb the black iron sword and shield when he went berserk. It was fine for a while but there were some very good materials. The toughness of them was beyond what his beast should be able to handle. Because of his taming space it could consume them. And because of that, Brad had to train even more to be able to handle the burst of energy when his beast changed and took them on." Clark saw small tears start to appear on Brad’s skin.

The muscles growing in Brad’s body to handle the energy were enough to make everyone realize that the sheer amount and force of the metal energy was causing Brad to become injured. "I have more of the potions we got left. Lit and I will start to heal him. We need to work now. Everyone else will have to watch the surroundings. This is a terrible place for this." The open space right by the forest was not ideal at all. Maria noticed this at the moment she started to call Lit out to begin helping Brad resist the damage he was gaining from this process.

’Blood Possessed armaments- rare

The possessed armaments are a set of metal and spiritual items that have been possessed by a blood spirit. They can only exist by the growth of a possessed helm that has absorbed incredible metal and spiritual energy from their tamer. This can be due to multiple reasons.

Upon doing so, the possessed helm has split itself in to multiple parts while trying to grow its body. This process is facilitated by using the blood and spiritual energy within the body of the tamer. It also tightens the bond between the beast and the tamer by leaps and bounds.

The benefit is the ability to control the shield without holding it. The two will basically be connected as long as the possessed helm portion is in place on the tamer’s head. The shield is solidified from the metal and the energy front he tamer, this caused it to have increased defenses and the better ability to deflect attacks.

The sword was tempered further through the forced absorption and condensing. The shape may change based on the tamer’s energy but the result is a sword that can be used with more strength. It will also have a better ability to pierce by gathering the blood of defeated opponents on the blade to sharpen it.

The berserker skill can be used with less drawback but will cost all the energy of the tamer, this is automatically activated under dire circumstances. Due to the blood and spiritual nature, there is also a regeneration skill that has been acquired by the tanner and beast pair. It uses natural nutrient storage within the bodies of both beast and tamer to heal both beast and tamer from small injuries. This can be trained by taking damage and whaling it naturally without potions or other outside healing.

The addition of rarer metals can radically increase the growth rate of the blood possessed armaments. Adding them will also cause the rarity, overall strength, and the form to change. potentially become the...’

The sudden rush of energy and roar of Brad made everyone fear the worst. But when the possessed helm appeared to have carved runic designs in to itself and the black iron shield and sword appeared with similar designs floating around him before falling in to Brad’s hand, they were amazed.

"And that is a brand new beast that cannot exist without a tamer taking the road that Brad did. It is called the blood-possessed armaments and it is nothing that I thought would happen. I feel kind of dumb not thinking that something like this would happen." Another impressive event from one of the group. Clark did his best to guide everyone but he felt foolish yet again. The group was constantly proving that his guidance was just the first step. It was not the end all be all of what they could do. They made their own paths to walk.

"Brand new?" Ella opened her eyes wide as she saw the small skin tears starting to heal before her eyes. She was also amazed that the large black iron sword had become smaller. The edge was much more defined while Brad took it in his hand and stood up ignoring any pain he might be in. The shield also appeared to be more faceted which would allow there to be a better chance of deflecting both physical and magical skills. It was unprecedented in her eyes.

"I think, I need to sleep." Brad passed out face first on the snow. His body still healing and red while the possessed helm ceased to show any spiritual light along the strange runic patterns over it.

"Well that just happened.’’ Reese stood ready for any beast that might have heard or seen the commotion. Luckily, there was nothing around to have been able to. Yet, he was more amazed that Brad had just taken such a massive step in to unknown territory. To help his partner become so much more powerful at the sacrifice of his own body and literal blood. It proved just who Brad was as a person. He might not focus much on things that didn’t interest him,n but with a goal, Brad could take leaps ahead of anyone.

"Let’s get him by the fire and start the night’s watch. Brad will need some food after that too. His body will have a new skill called regeneration to feed. That means he needs to start eating a lot more." Clark laughed slightly in amazement. He was still wrapping his head around the beast that was apparently just rare. To him, this blood possessed armaments beast was easily able to get to legendary with some time.
