The deafening gunshot startled all the residents in the living room. They screamed and scattered, terrified of being hit by a stray bullet.

Only the four aunts of the man with glasses stood frozen in place, as if they hadn’t yet processed what had happened.

The four-fold shriek was like a demonic sound piercing their ears, making everyone’s heads ring. The residents, afraid the dead man’s aunts might do something drastic in their agitated state, all backed away to give them space.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Melody Summers quietly took out the "Enchanting Secret Medicine" and sprinkled it on the four women.

The next second, all four of them fainted at once.

Seeing this, Melody Summers said to the crowd, "They must have been overwhelmed by grief and cried themselves unconscious... Let’s lock them up together for now, to prevent them from doing anything else rash."

Two farces had unfolded today, resulting in two deaths. The people from the Emergency Management Office and the residents in the living room had all grown somewhat numb.

Taking Melody Summers at her word, they didn’t suspect a thing. Everyone helped carry the women out, then they all pitched in to wipe the blood from the floor.

As Shawn Lynch bent down to wipe up the blood, he muttered sheepishly to his father, Mr. Lynch, who was beside him, "Now I get why Miss Winnie didn’t want us to kill those four robbers earlier..."

Killing just the one guy with glasses caused this much trouble. If they had killed the other four all at once...

Hearing Frank York’s words, Melody Summers nearly rolled her eyes into the back of her head. ’I’m already exhausted today,’ she thought. ’Why do these idiots keep popping up, just begging for a beating?’

Melody Summers was even starting to regret not finishing Frank York off on the 15th floor. It would have been better than letting him stir up trouble here.

’Why didn’t Quinn just stab him to death just now? If only Quinn could have taken Frank York with him on his way out!’

Hearing this, Winnie Summers frowned slightly and asked Frank York, "In that situation, if I hadn’t opened fire, it would have been very difficult to restrain him by any other means."

She sneered, not bothering to argue about whether women were impulsive, and instead shot back mockingly, "’Quinn’s tragedy?’ Are you seriously pleading his case? He pulled out a knife to stab people. What’s wrong with shooting him? If he were stabbing you, would you still be saying that?"

Just as Frank York was about to retort, Maisie Lynch, who was standing nearby, suddenly turned and said, "Yeah, that guy Quinn pulled out a knife to stab people. Why shouldn’t he have been shot to stop him?"

Maisie Lynch looked at Frank York with an expression of pure disdain and said scornfully, "You’re so rational, so kind-hearted, so ’manly’—so how come I didn’t see you pounce on Quinn and restrain him just now? Maisie Lynch’s words made Frank York’s face turn bright red. He had no idea why this woman had suddenly jumped in and interfered!
