Hearing Ethan Sutton’s words, Mr. and Mrs. Sutton turned around as well.

When Ethan Sutton saw Melody Summers looking at him, he grew flustered and angry. His face reddened as he growled at her, "Wh-what are you looking at!?"

Ever since being castrated by Raymond Hayes, Ethan Sutton had been on the verge of a mental breakdown.

He couldn’t accept his incomplete body. Whenever he saw the horrific wound on his lower body, an uncontrollable wave of despair would wash over him.

Because of this, he had become unusually sensitive to the gazes of others. Whenever someone stared at him, his body would tremble involuntarily, as if their eyes could strip him bare.

Now, with Melody Summers staring at him like this, he felt her gaze was like a series of sharp needles shooting straight at him, making him feel as though he were sitting on pins and needles.

Seeing Ethan Sutton’s face flush as his emotions neared a breaking point, Mrs. Sutton quickly stepped forward, shielding him like a mother hen protecting her chick, trying to block Melody Summers’s line of sight.

Mrs. Sutton glared at Melody Summers with a venomous look in her eyes and snarled, "Get the hell away from us! Don’t you look at my son!"

Looking at Mrs. Sutton, who now resembled a common shrew and had completely lost her previous air of a prim and proud socialite, Melody Summers could only think that this family was utterly baffling.

Before Melody Summers could say a word, Mrs. Vance, who was standing nearby, couldn’t stand it any longer.

Mrs. Vance wouldn’t allow anyone to yell at her savior!

So, Mrs. Vance quickly moved to stand in front of Melody Summers. With her hands on her hips, she said sarcastically to Mrs. Sutton, "Well, well, well. Is your son some kind of cloistered maiden from ancient times, afraid of being looked at? To have such a foul mouth, you really are an uncivilized piece of work!"

"You!" Mrs. Sutton’s eyes widened with anger as she glared at Mrs. Vance. "And who the hell are you! Who gave you permission to stand here!"

Behind Mrs. Sutton, Ethan Sutton shuddered as if he’d received a massive shock upon hearing the words "cloistered maiden."

Mrs. Vance scoffed at Mrs. Sutton and retorted, "Me? What about me? I’m standing right at my own front door, and not even God himself could tell me what to do! You must have a guilty conscience to be so afraid of people looking at you!"

The moment Mrs. Vance finished speaking, Ethan Sutton, as if unable to bear it any longer, abruptly turned and stumbled into 1506.

Seeing this, Mrs. Sutton shot a venomous glare at Mrs. Vance and Melody Summers before quickly turning to go inside, rushing to comfort Ethan Sutton.

Mr. Sutton gave Melody Summers one last deep, angry look, but didn’t say anything more and followed Mrs. Sutton.

Melody Summers stood there, completely baffled.

’What is wrong with the Suttons?’

Mrs. Vance pulled Melody Summers back into 1505, closed the door, and asked with some concern, "What was all that about? Do you know them?"

Melody Summers thought for a moment before saying to Mrs. Vance, "We have some history... For certain reasons, they wanted me to marry their son. I refused and gave them a piece of my mind, so we became enemies... I never expected their family to move here too, and right downstairs from me, no less. I guess it’s a small world for enemies."

Hearing this, Mrs. Vance was furious. "I could tell that family was no good from the start! I can’t believe a toad would lust after a swan’s flesh! They should take a good look at what a disaster their son is! He looks like a total simpleton!"

Thinking about the Suttons’ past actions, Melody Summers decided to warn Mrs. Vance. "Mrs. Vance, the family across the hall is named Sutton. They used to own a real estate company."

"You’ve probably seen them on the news. Their company made headlines several times for withholding hard-earned money from migrant workers."

"The whole family is very shrewd and calculating. You should be careful not to get cheated by them."

Melody Summers remembered that in her past life, although Sylvia Lancaster didn’t end up with Ethan Sutton, they had maintained an ambiguous relationship.

Sylvia Lancaster kept a "pond" full of "fish." She profited from these men and wasn’t stingy with her bait.

’Colluding with the Adler and Hayes families, treating human lives as if they were grass... The Suttons’ character is rotten to the core,’ Melody thought. ’They won’t be up to any good in this life either!’

Mrs. Vance lived across the hall from the Suttons, and Melody Summers was afraid they might bring harm to Mrs. Vance’s family.

Mrs. Vance smiled, nodded, and replied, "Don’t you worry! I’ll definitely be on my guard against them!"

Meanwhile, Ethan Sutton, agitated, had run back into 1506.

Ignoring the unpacked luggage strewn all over the floor, he threw himself onto the sofa and began to wail.

When Mr. Sutton saw Ethan in this state, his face immediately darkened.

Mrs. Sutton, however, rushed to Ethan’s side and comforted him softly, "Son, don’t be upset... We’ve moved to a new place. No one knows us here, no one knows what happened..."

At her words, Ethan Sutton shot his head up, shouting agitatedly at his mother, "No! Melody Summers knows me! Mom! Did you see the way she was looking at me just now? She must have figured something out!"

Ethan Sutton’s face was a mess of tears and snot, a truly pathetic sight. He grabbed his mother’s arm and yelled, "Mom! I don’t want to live here anymore! Let’s move!"

But Mrs. Sutton didn’t agree to his demand. She only gave him a troubled look and patiently soothed him, "There, there, don’t be afraid. She couldn’t have noticed anything."

If Ethan had asked for anything else, Mrs. Sutton would have done her best to grant it.

But this time was different.

Mrs. Sutton patted Ethan soothingly and said in a low voice, "We can’t move right now. Mr. Caelus told us to move here. There’s always a reason for the Master’s words. We can’t change locations."

Mr. Caelus was the "expert" who had previously visited the Sutton Family to perform a ritual, the one who said the deceased Elias Sutton would be reincarnated in Sylvia Lancaster’s womb.

Mrs. Sutton hadn’t originally believed in such supernatural nonsense, but Mr. Caelus was truly a master!
