The smile on Flynn Adler’s face vanished. He replied with a dark expression, "If you insist on being so stubborn... then my only choice is to send you to a hospital and sell you for parts. Your pair of pretty eyes, for example. The corneas alone would fetch a pretty penny."

Flynn was growing impatient. He was itching to have Blondie pin Melody to the carpet right now, but he still hoped she would submit willingly.

’This sort of thing was no fun if the woman kept fighting back,’ he thought. ’He much preferred it when it was consensual.’

Hearing this, Melody suddenly changed tack, feigning surprise. "You’re trafficking organs, too? Wait, you... how did you even get Nina Walsh? The recent spate of kidnappings in Anworth... that’s you, isn’t it?"

Melody continued, her voice filled with feigned shock, "So just like you said, you abduct people at random off the streets. If it’s a young girl, you force her into prostitution, and if it’s someone old, or a man, you harvest them for parts, is that right?!"

Flynn Adler, thinking Melody was finally terrified, nodded in satisfaction. "Since you understand, just be a good girl and do as you’re told. Don’t worry, as long as you behave, I won’t do that to you. After all, like I said, I know how to treat a beautiful woman."

Having recorded what she needed, Melody pressed on, "Aren’t you afraid Clara Hayes will find out you’re forcing me? She’s your fiancée. Are you just going to keep messing around behind her back like this?"

Flynn Adler’s expression turned cold at her words. He snorted. "My fiancée is the one who sent me to teach you a lesson! Melody Summers, you were reckless and offended her. Now, if you beg me properly, and if I’m in a good mood, I might even protect you."

Melody continued to question him, "Your fiancée is Clara Hayes, so is the Hayes Family in on this business too? Is Hector Hayes also involved in the prostitution and organ trafficking... Maybe he’s even the one in charge, right?"

Flynn Adler didn’t answer. His patience had run out. He turned and nodded to Blondie, signaling for him to go and restrain Melody.

Flynn Adler was startled and blurted out, "How do you know that? Did Sylvia tell you?"

Flynn Adler’s eyes darkened. ’That settles it. She can’t be allowed to live.’ He said to Blondie, "Go hold her down. Strip her naked."

But Melody said, "Flynn Adler, you should be grieving. Because that was your last chance in this lifetime to ever have a child."

As she spoke, Melody discreetly switched off the voice recorder and camera she was carrying.

Before Flynn Adler could process what Melody meant, an unbelievable scene unfolded before his very eyes—

The instant Blondie touched Melody, she grabbed him back, and then—

Seeing this, Flynn Adler shot up from the sofa. His eyes widened as he stared in disbelief at the ghostly scene.

The impact of the bolt at such close range sent Flynn Adler stumbling backward, collapsing messily into the sofa.

So, as Flynn Adler’s trembling hand fumbled for the gun in his pocket, Melody pulled two knives from her space. SHUNK! SHUNK! She buried them in both of his arms.

Meeting Flynn Adler’s desperate, horrified, and disbelieving gaze, Melody leaned down and said, "Flynn Adler, you’ve done nothing but evil. Go atone for your sins in hell."

Melody wasn’t in a hurry to deliver the finishing blow. That would be letting Flynn Adler off too easily.

She thought about how she had indirectly died at his hands in her past life. She thought of all the people he’d kidnapped, of those forced into prostitution, of those who had their organs harvested while they were still alive...

Melody used her knife to slice off a strip of Flynn Adler’s clothing and used it to gag him. Then, she carved several deep gashes into his wrists.

Rich, red blood trickled down from the wounds. Melody shoved the knife back into one of the gashes and twisted.

Flynn Adler’s body convulsed in pain. He stared at Melody as if he were seeing a ghost. The pain was so intense that he began to struggle frantically.

His struggles jarred the wound in his chest, and he felt more blood well up in his throat.

Since his mouth was gagged, the blood had nowhere to go but out his nostrils. For a moment, he couldn’t breathe.

In the end, it was hard to say whether it was from suffocation, blood loss, or the excruciating pain, but Flynn Adler’s consciousness quickly began to blur.

In the final moments of his life, he still couldn’t believe he was actually dying at the hands of the woman he disdained the most...

After Flynn Adler had taken his last breath, Melody stabbed his neck a few more times. Only when she was certain he was well and truly dead did her legs give out, and she slumped to the floor.

Remembering the enmity from her past life, she had just unleashed all of her hatred on Flynn Adler.

Now that he was dead, Melody found the gory, mangled scene before her nauseating.

Smelling the cloying scent of blood in the air, Melody couldn’t help but gag a few times. Then she held her breath, rummaged through Flynn Adler’s pockets, and finally pulled a gun from his pants.

The gun felt heavy in her hand. Melody immediately stored it in her space.
