Rebirth Counterattack with Space

In their new home’s courtyard, Lu Aiguo and Shitou had even set aside some land to plant flowers and vegetables because there was plenty of open space. Lu Yun looked and clamored to plant a few fruit trees as well, but there were no saplings readily available, so they all agreed that they’d have to go back to their hometown and dig some up from the mountain to plant.

Lu Yun considered that rooms with separate bathrooms would be the most appealing for future rentals. If everything could be set up properly from the start, it would not only ensure comfort for relatives from their hometown but also save the trouble of having to redo it later.

"She is indeed a major contributor," Lu Aiguo chimed in to support Lu Yun, who smiled proudly at her mother.

"There are also lots of wild fruits left. Those can be made into fruit tanghulu with malt sugar to sell," Lu Yun glanced over the space.

"Fruit tanghulu? I’ve only heard of candied haw tanghulu. Can other fruits be used for tanghulu too?" Xia Yuan, Lu Aiguo, and Shitou were all surprised.

"Of course. If hawthorns work, why not other fruits?" Lu Yun replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

The various wild fruits harvested from the mountains weren’t in large quantities, but combined, they amounted to quite a bit.

The appearance of the wild fruits wasn’t great, and they couldn’t compare at all with the huge quantities of fruits from all seasons stored in Lu Yun’s space. After coming to Haicheng, everyone had grown used to eating the better tasting and looking fruits that Lu Yun brought out from her space.

Seeing those wild fruits, Lu Yun suddenly thought of fruit tanghulu again.

Traditional candied haw tanghulu used hawthorns, but Lu Yun clearly remembered a period in the future when making tanghulu with various fruits became quite popular. Tanghulu could be made by boiling malt sugar, which required germinated wheat, something that wasn’t too hard to come by in the countryside.

"I don’t have malt sugar in my big warehouse."

"That’s easy, there are plenty of people in the village who can make it. I’ll send a letter back and tell the villagers to make more of it. We can buy it up, and it won’t cost much. Lu Aiguo thought over what Lu Yun said and felt that trying it out wouldn’t be a bad idea. Moreover, by buying the malt sugar, they could let the villagers earn some extra money.
