In an unassuming tavern in a small town on the Grand Line, Blackbeard sat reading a newspaper, biting into a sakura peach pie, and grinning.

"Zehahahaha! So it's finally about to begin?"

"I have to move quickly!"

Having been pursued relentlessly, Blackbeard had managed to escape back to the first half of the Grand Line, temporarily shaking off his pursuers.

Lucifer's declaration of war against Whitebeard had greatly relieved the pressure on him.

"Fight! Fight! The more intense, the better!"

"When both sides are exhausted, that will be the start of my era!"

Blackbeard's ambition had not diminished in the slightest. On the contrary, after obtaining the Dark-Dark Fruit, it had grown even more boundless.

He knew that at this moment, he was no match for Lucifer.

But Blackbeard had unwavering faith in the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit and his own unique body.

At Marineford, Naval Headquarters, Sengoku sat in the Fleet Admiral's seat, his expression cold and emotionless.

He was waiting for updates.

The war was about to break out, and every pre-war preparation had to be perfected to the utmost, ensuring there were no loopholes.

Even if it increased their chances of victory by just 0.0001%, Sengoku would execute the plan with full force.

"Garp, just wait. I will avenge you soon!"

Sengoku glanced at the bag of senbei on his desk, his heart filled with determination.

"However, Empress Boa Hancock has yet to reply."

"As for Jinbei, he has made it clear that he will not accept the summons. Additionally, the Sun Pirates under his command have disappeared!"

Sengoku narrowed his eyes.

"Five out of seven, huh...?"

Sengoku narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing within them.

He wasn't entirely satisfied with this result, but it was within expectations—so it would have to do.

Because of Lucifer, the Seven Warlords of the Sea had suffered heavy losses, and the Marines had spent considerable effort filling the vacant positions.

Sengoku had already known that the new trio would join the battle.

Whenever a newcomer became a Shichibukai, they had to prove their worth.

Bartholomew Kuma was a loyal Marine ally—his participation was a given.

As for Dracule Mihawk, there was no need for concern. He was a lone wolf, but with so many powerful figures on the battlefield, he wouldn't just stand by idly. His pride wouldn't allow it.

"That damn Jinbei... is he siding with Whitebeard?"

Sengoku understood Jinbei's deep respect for Whitebeard.

For him to disappear at such a crucial moment meant only one thing—he had gone to the New World to aid Whitebeard.

Narrowing his eyes, Sengoku turned to the Marine Rear Admiral and ordered, "Contact Vice Admiral Flying Squirrel. Have him continue negotiations with the Pirate Empress. Make sure she understands the consequences of defying the summons, but convince her if possible."

"Time is running out. Give her another day at most.

"If she still refuses by tomorrow—strip her of the Shichibukai title!"

"Yes, Fleet Admiral!"

The Rear Admiral saluted and quickly exited the office.

Meanwhile, in the Holy Land, the Five Elders were not idle.

Although the war had yet to begin, tension had already gripped the entire world.

Inside Pangaea Castle, within the Room of Authority—

"The war is imminent. Do you think we can finally eliminate that cursed brat this time?"

The curly-haired Elder raised an eyebrow, glancing at the others.

"Marineford has mobilized 200,000 elite troops, and we have both the Whitebeard Pirates and the Red-Haired Pirates involved. With such overwhelming force, we could destroy the world itself!"

The sword-wielding Elder unsheathed his katana, its blade reflecting a menacing light.

"Still, we mustn't let our guard down. We cannot afford any mistakes," the blond-haired Elder said, flipping through a stack of bounty posters featuring Lucifer and various members of the Nether Pirates.

"Deploy CP agents as well," the long-haired Elder spoke, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

"Any action that increases our odds, no matter how small, must be taken. Lucifer must be eradicated!"

The bald Elder nodded solemnly.

"However... sending out this many troops will leave both Marineford and Mariejois dangerously vulnerable," the curly-haired Elder hesitated.

With the entire Marine force mobilized—including CP agents—Naval Headquarters and the Holy Land would be left defenseless.

If anyone chose to invade Mariejois at such a moment, the consequences would be catastrophic.

"Exactly! That bastard Lucifer will likely seize the opportunity!"

"If he attacks the Holy Land while our forces are occupied, the results will be disastrous!"

For the first time, hesitation flickered across the faces of the Five Elders.

Despite their immense power, they were still old men. And the older one got, the more one feared death.

They had ruled the world for too long—enjoyed absolute authority, endless wealth, and unparalleled status.

They had no intention of dying anytime soon.

"To be safe, order the Celestial Dragons to temporarily evacuate Mariejois and take refuge in the Sacred Palace.

"If Lucifer does attack, he'll find nothing but an empty city—his efforts will be meaningless.

"On the contrary, if he dares to break away from his army, we'll have the perfect opportunity to crush the Nether Pirates!"

"Excellent idea!"

"Let's proceed with that plan!"

"Demon Lucifer... the Nether Pirates... this time, we will cleanse the seas of this filth once and for all!"

The blond Elder slammed the bounty posters onto the table.

The sword-wielding Elder suddenly swung his katana, slicing through the stack of posters.

A terrifying killing intent erupted from the Five Elders, filling the entire chamber.

The oppressive aura surged from Pangaea Castle, spreading throughout Mariejois.

Across the Holy Land, guards, Marine officers, slaves, and even the Celestial Dragons trembled in fear.
