The Golden Lion slammed heavily onto the island, creating another human-shaped pothole in the ground.

"Universal Pull!"

Lucifer aimed at the pothole and grabbed it firmly. A powerful gravitational force pulled the Golden Lion upward.

The Golden Lion roared wildly and launched a counterattack after breaking free from the gravitational shackles.

"Little devil, go to hell!"

"Lion Majesty: Earth Coiling!"

The Golden Lion swung his massive hand, and the entire island trembled violently.

The ground was lifted, and hundreds of thousands of tons of rocks condensed into a dozen enormous lion heads that lunged at Lucifer!

"Roar!!!"

More than a dozen lion heads roared in unison, their roar tearing through the sky, causing the heavens to tremble violently.

Facing the killer move, Lucifer didn't dodge or move. He simply raised his hand lightly.

"Go back!"

As soon as the words fell, the dozen lion heads rushing toward Lucifer suddenly turned around and bit toward the Golden Lion.

The Golden Lion's face changed drastically, and he hastily used the power of his Lion Fruit to try to control the giant lions.

But it was useless—he had lost control of the lion heads, and his abilities were ineffective.

Lucifer's control over his Speech Fruit was far superior to the Golden Lion's Lion Fruit.

Rumble!

The dozen massive lion heads struck the Golden Lion, and one of them swallowed him whole.

The ground shook, and hundreds of thousands of tons of rock and soil churned violently, forming a towering rock structure. The topography of the island was completely changed.

In Lucifer's hands, the Golden Lion was pitifully weak, crushed the entire time, unable to mount any resistance.

The rocky tower erupted in a series of explosions as the Golden Lion finally escaped.

However, the Golden Lion was covered in cuts and bruises, his body drenched in blood, as though he had been fished out of a sea of blood.

Though he could still hover in the sky, his body was limp, and he continued to cough up blood.

"Is this all you can do?"

"With such pitiful strength, how can you talk about ruling the world?"

"Golden Lion, you've been clinging to life for over ten years, but you've already fallen behind the times!"

"Forget about ruling the world. You can't even defeat a Marine Admiral!"

Lucifer shook his head and spoke.

"Arrogant brat, stop talking nonsense!!!"

"If you want to kill me, come at me!"

The Golden Lion's expression turned ruthless as he pulled out the two swords from his feet.

Since escaping prison, the Golden Lion had replaced his feet with swords.

Over the years, the swords had fused with his flesh, and the two had become inseparable.

Now that the Golden Lion had drawn the swords, it was as if he was cutting off his own feet—a pain beyond words.

Yet, despite the excruciating agony, his expression remained unchanged.

"Die, brat!"

The Golden Lion unleashed both swords, launching two massive flying slashes.

It was the same technique, but the power was completely different.

As a two-sword swordsman, the Golden Lion could exert the full strength of his moves.

The sword energy emitted from his feet, however, was only a fraction of the power from his hands.

Lucifer calmly watched the incoming sword qi. He didn't dodge or evade, simply raising his hand lightly.

"Disappear!"

As soon as the words fell, the two massive slashes vanished without a trace, leaving only a breeze that brushed Lucifer's cheek.

"You!"

The Golden Lion's eyes widened in shock.

"Didn't your men tell you?"

Lucifer smiled slightly.

"I possess the power of the Speech Fruit, which allows me to turn anything I say into reality."

"My word is truth, and what I say becomes law!"

"From the moment you met me, your fate was sealed!"

"Heavenly Lightning Tribulation!"

Lucifer pointed to the sky, and with a resounding crash, thunder lit up the endless black clouds.

Countless electric snakes roamed and coiled within the clouds, eventually merging into a thick bolt of lightning that crashed down.

The speed of the lightning was so fast that the Golden Lion was struck the instant he saw it, with no time to react. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Enel, watching from a distance, trembled with excitement.

Lucifer's lightning abilities far surpassed his own, and there was no comparison between the two.

"This is the true strength of the captain. His control over a natural element is terrifying!"

Enel marveled.

"Sooner or later, my lightning will reach this level of power, or even surpass it!"

Boom!

The lightning struck the Golden Lion, piercing through the island beneath his feet, and finally crashed into the sea thousands of meters below.

Rumble!

A massive hollow, over 100 meters in diameter, formed in the sea. The sheer volume of seawater evaporated instantly, and the reverberation spread for miles.

When the thunder subsided, the Golden Lion had completely disappeared, and a large crater appeared on the island, where the palace once stood. The rock had been melted into magma.

"Ding! Host killed the pirate Golden Lion and earned 100,000 killing points."

At his peak, the Golden Lion's power would have been worth far more.

It could only be said that this world never ends well for those who fall behind.

Moria was defeated by Kaido and hid in the Devil's Triangle, becoming a recluse, causing his strength to deteriorate.

Locke Dahl was defeated by Whitebeard and retreated to Alabasta, hiding away like a hermit, leading to a severe decline in his strength.

The same fate had befallen the Golden Lion.

He was defeated by the Marines and, after escaping from prison, hid in the sky, letting his strength decline.

A mere 100,000 killing points was proof that the Golden Lion's strength had diminished to less than a third of its former glory.

Lucifer imagined how different the Golden Lion's strength would have been had he not chosen to hide after escaping from prison, but instead continued his voyage across the seas.

If he had done so, his current power would have been far greater.

But now, the Golden Lion had disappeared for over ten years, and few knew of his existence.

Now, he was killed by Lucifer, and if Lucifer didn't speak the truth, the Golden Lion would vanish from the seas entirely.

The legend of the flying pirate had come to an end.

"The silent death of a legendary pirate is the most ignoble way to die."

Lucifer shook his head, then raised his hand. "Reborn."

An invisible force surged from Lucifer and merged with the fruit in his hand.

Soon, the fruit transformed into the Lion Fruit before his eyes.

The entire body of the Lion Fruit was blue, symbolizing the sky.

The Lion Fruit, a top-tier Paramecia-type Devil Fruit.

Just manipulating an island to crush opponents made it a force to be reckoned with across the Grand Line.

The destructive power of the Lion Fruit was immense, making it Lucifer's greatest acquisition in this battle.

Rumble!

The floating islands made a sound as they began to fall rapidly.

With the death of the Golden Lion, the Lion Fruit's power faded.

"Let's leave first."

Lucifer returned to the Nether and instructed the demon elf Xiao Hei to guide the Nether away from the collapsing island.

In the distance, the Nether floated in the sky.

Lucifer and his crew watched the floating Sky Island crash and collapse, the sight spectacular.

"Who would have thought that the legendary pirate Golden Lion would die like this?"

Jack exhaled a smoke ring and spoke with some emotion.

"We met the Golden Lion when we were younger, and he was so full of life back then."

"That's right. He even invited Captain Luo Jie to join forces, but after being rejected, they fought."

Both Enel and Maomushiru had been part of the Luo Jie Pirates and participated in the "Ait Vol Sea Battle."

It was during that battle that the majority of the Flying Pirates' fleet was sent to the bottom of the sea, and most of Golden Lion's elite forces were lost.

He himself had been severely injured, struck in the back of the head by the rudder, a wound that never healed.

Without this injury, the Golden Lion's strength might not have declined so significantly.

"The sea preys on the weak, and Golden Lion's death proves he was too weak."

"If you want to survive, you can only continue getting stronger!"

Lucifer said calmly.

"Alright, let's go. It's time to leave the island."

"Set sail."

"Yes, Master!"

The demon elf commanded the Nether to descend toward the sea, and soon, they disappeared.
